I asked the cashier if they still had any of the storage totes that turn invisible when your husband walks in the room but she claimed they were all sold before Christmas! :rotfl2:
So where are your favorite hiding places?:rotfl:

You can send it to my house..and I'll mail them back as you need them!!! :)
See, I'm being a good girl.. I haven't been shopping.. although those prices.. I'd love to go... but I'd have to take the kids..and than it'll be the hissy fit.. of "can I have, will you buy me".. I wonder what they would do if I yelled "no, I'm buying for mommy for a change"..

Great buys though!!!

Uhm, your kids would roll their eyes you and the other customers would give you the evil eye.

Marlynn, awesome deals. There wasn't any Christmas scrapping items on sale at my Jo-Anns. Which stinks. I would have bought it all.
Hide it under the bed.

Which JoAnn's did you go to? I have a bit of time tomorrow after my doctor appointment, but before the small one is done with school... Hmmm...

marlynnp - What JoAnns did you find all that at?? I'm in northern Montgomery County near Bucks and I haven't gotten up to the one in Quakertown yet...maybe tomorrow. Hopefully mine will still have some of those good things left.

Pottstown - the strip center on 724 behind Coventry Mall..... I did leave a few things, lol. ;) End caps alond far left side wall from where you enter!

How did I miss that JoAnns?? We go out 422 and then down 100 when we go to DH's parents' house. I make him stop at the Mikes just south of there on 100 nearly every time! ;)

I don't think I can get out there tomorrow. DD has the tutor coming from 11 to 1 and then has physical therapy at 3. I don't think I can get out there & pick up DH around 5:30...I'll have to stick with Qtown I guess.

Oh and I never answered the question about where to hide the stuff. I've been known to hide things in my underwear drawers. ;) DH never goes in there! LOL I also have a deep drawer in my jewelry armoire that is a good hiding place. And of course my closet.

But my favorite hiding place is in the bookcase in my scrap area. DH had gotten used to seeing Priority mail boxes in there when I was doing the CJ last year. I always had several boxes there to store other things...like plastic grocery bags for my trash can, mailing envelopes, bubble wrap, etc. He never asked why I still keep the boxes since I'm not doing that anymore. I just fold the flap over the top & stand them up in the bookcase. :lmao:

:lmao: I'm loving all the suggestions!

I have baskets on top of my storage wall units. I pulled them forward a couple of inches and was able to hide a half dozen big kits up there.:tiptoe: I moved some other stuff around and hid a few more. The smaller kits I put in the cabinet where the board games are kept. If/when they are found I'll just act bored..... "oh, I picked those up to make as gifts for your sisters next year". :rotfl:

The regular decor stuff I put away and resisted the temptation to brag about the prices I paid (not so hard since I already bragged to you all :) ).

I forget about that JoAnn's being there too - especially in regards to scrap stuff. I think I've only purchased fabric there previous.

Good hunting tomorrow Mickster.:goodvibes

Do you have a crawl space? That would be my suggestion. I would also just put it into my Christmas bins and then next year you could say "what do you mean new stuff? I have had that for a long time. You should really pay more attention!!!! I haven't figured out if this actually works on my husband or if he just doesn't ask anymore.

Good Luck

Definitely just slip the Christmas stuff in with last years. Husbands never remember what was bought when (they can't find things in the freezer without map co-ordiantes, don't forget!). That's why so few men scrap, as by the time the photos come back they've forgotten what happened when. :lmao: (That's why DH doesn't complain about the scrapping as he secretly loves looking over the albums)

But with the new stuff, as far as possible just squeeze it in with what you have alread (as I did with the big parcel of cardstock which arrived yerterday  ). Anything left, bottom of the closet, undies draw or wherever :goodvibes

I got the 12x12 DCWV Christmas stacks for $4.97 at JoAnn's!!! I told DH that I needed the paper for our Disney Christmas Photos. When I asked him to figure out how much each sheet cost (a little over 7 cents each!), he was relieved. He knows the more expensive the paper, the less likely it is that I will actually use it.

Well I got a "few" things - nothing I need mind you, just deals I couldn't pass up! ;)

Things I got:

2 of those Colorbok kits with the albums - $4.97 (I only got 2, but was thinking that maybe I should go back. :lmao: )
Craft Essentials card kit in a box - $4.97
2 of the CK mini kits (one of each type) - $3.67
a red velvet ornament - $1 (shouldn't have gotten ANY as I have 3 HUGE tubs of ornaments already & they don't all fit on my tree and garlands! LOL)
and a Gallery J Advent Calendar kit - $4.97 (it's a flip book type thing - very cute!)

No paper stacks & no other DSWV stuff except 2 rubon alpha ones. They were wiped out!

BUT!!! If any of you in SE PA are in need of a rolling tote, they had a great deal! They have the JoAnns rolling tote for $35 and it comes with a purse type organizer/mini tote inside! I was sooooo tempted to get one - even though I bought the same rolly last year at their Founders Day sale for $20 without the purse thing inside it! Plus it came in colors instead of just black. ;) I think the original price was $79.99!

But that would be kind of difficult to hide! Definitely wouldn't fit in the underwear drawer. :lmao: :lmao:

Just don't hide it too well: you want to be able to find it next December! When I was wrapping Christmas presents and hiding them in my closet I found stuff that was supposed to go in the kids' Easter baskets!

I did pretty well too.

Craft Essentials 8 x 8 scrapbook with embellishments - $4.97
Craft Essentials card kit in a box - $4.97
2 DCWV the Christmas Rub on alphabets - $2.47
DCWV the Christmas sticker stack - $3.67
2 CK Holiday card kits - $3.67
Misc Holiday stickers - $0.50

Not bad. Some of the kits were already gone. Thanks so much for the heads up!;)

:lmao: Steph! I'm still looking for the Jack Skellington Christmas ornament I got for DH almost 3 years ago!! :lmao: :lmao: I'd gotten it in the spring I think during a clearance sale and put it away for Christmas.

DH once lost the set of Pirate Mickey/Minnie/etc beanies I'd gotten for DS to give him during our WDW trip. I only got them 2 months ahead...but it took us 4 years to find them!!

I founf an Easter colouring book I got to give DS(13) for Easter.... in 1998! :lmao:

WHY don't we have a Jo-Ans over here

I went to one in Swansea MA yesterday(not my usual Joanns) and I walked out with 6 packs of stickers spending a whopping $3 No deals at all. :(

I don't have to hide anything. We have a budget that we made together and we each get a certain $$ amount each month to spend any way we want or to save up for something. I could bury my money in the backyard, burn it, buy clothes, save up and buy something "big", whatever, he doesn't care so long as I stay within my budget. If I do go over (which I did a little in November) it carries forward and then I have less the next month until I catch up. This way he can see 10 bags from JoAnn's or Macy's or Victoria's Secret and not wonder how much I spent or what's in the bags . . . o.k. he would be curious about what's in the Victoria's Secret bag :rotfl:
