I don't have to hide anything. We have a budget that we made together and we each get a certain $$ amount each month to spend any way we want or to save up for something. I could bury my money in the backyard, burn it, buy clothes, save up and buy something "big", whatever, he doesn't care so long as I stay within my budget. If I do go over (which I did a little in November) it carries forward and then I have less the next month until I catch up. This way he can see 10 bags from JoAnn's or Macy's or Victoria's Secret and not wonder how much I spent or what's in the bags . . . o.k. he would be curious about what's in the Victoria's Secret bag![]()
OT: That's a great way to do it. We just got married and are starting to actually truly MERGE the finances and that would work quite well.

I must check one of my J's out tomorrow - They are off the beaten path and often have stuff longer than most.
