Elaine...the Smokies are wonderful for hiking. The waterfalls are great and on a hot day the girls take their shoes off and wade in the water. There is also tubing.

Todd, I've only seen season 1 of 24, so now I am curious what you are depressed about. I sorta liked the first season (saw it on DVD recently) not a bad show!

Paula, best of luck with the taxes and the decluttering! I got one room about 80% done. Actually I think, save the basement, the whole house is about 85% decluttered. So I've made some great progress!

Hey gang,

well, the meeting today didn't quite go the way i wanted it to. But the speech path is going to do some more testing on him and then we can make an "informed" decsion i told her that i wasn't going to stop until I got him services that I felt he needed. She wasn't too happy with me. And from the times I've been in her seat i understand her feelings, but on the other side of the table I can push harder for what i want. So we'll see.

As for how he is feeling. He is finally feeling a little better. He ate a some cheezits and drank a bottle of juice (an individual serving bottle not a baby bottle). His temp is still around a hundred but I thnink the combo of motrin and tylenol is helping.

But now my mom's chest is tight and ethan is coughing. Oy vey! I can't win for losing around here. I just hope mom can still keep the kids tomorrow...I know that sounds cold but I don't have enough sick days to take off and stay home with them...especially since once I run out of sick days then I run out of getting paid for my sick days...and we can't afford that! So I'm keeping my fingers crossed that hers is allergies and that tomorrow she will feel better!!

Gotta run and get some snuggle time in with Jar while he is feeling better. Thank you so much for all the good thoughts for him!!

Tara, I thought Ethan was the sickie. Keep pushing for the services. I've learned that being informed about Neil's needs has helped. We're nice, but persistent with the school here. I adore the coordinator for our area, which is a HUGE help-she'd rather overschedule services than under.

Paula,right there with you on the headache. I think mine is meds induced and I don't think I can take aleve with it.

Lainey, brava on decluttering. I think mine will happen when the kids move out!

Tony, OUCH is all I can say to that. Sounds like your sense of humor gets you far.

Nancy sneated. New tub? Ed seems to have it in his head to get the spa we saw at the strawberry festival and replace the soaking tub in our bathroom!

Yep, meds seems to be helping, but are giving me a headache. Hoping I don't get the insomnia!

So, the dealership called twice today! I go back Friday to meet the two managers that weren't there yesterday. Getting the impression they *might* like me.

Macerating strawberries right now... Shortcake in an hour, woohoo!

Yep..doing 2 bathrooms this spring. Just tubs and surrounds. Floors were just done.
And new carpeting. Need to get looking. When Dave comes back.
Still want to get a cooktop, replace a couple of windows and gravel the drive....and hope to go to Las Vegas again.
We'll see how the $$$ hold up.
Still need to pay taxes too

Hmmmm.....strawberry shortcake.
I find it hard to cook for one, so haven't been doing that much.

Elaine...I have a hard time enjoying Kings Island after being at Disney. I feel the wait is less at Disney, or maybe it is just more entertaining. My company buys out a weekend in September, you can choose one day to go. Todd's company goes there about every other year. Not sure when it is this year though. I haven't been to Cedar Point. I think Todd would like to go, but it seems a waste since the girls aren't tall enough for a lot of the rides.

Nancy...bathroom remodeling. For now my bathrooms are staying the same.

Suzanne...thought about making Todd strawberry shortcakes, but he is trying to behave himself during lent. He hinted that I'm not helping and Cassie tells on him for eating cookies I've baked.

The Hardwood floor company comes this evening to measure and give us an estimate for our first floor. I would love to redo it all, but not sure the $$ is there. I know the entry hall, kitchen, coat closet, 1/2 bath and back hall are getting done. Just not sure about the dining room and great room. Leaving the pantry and laundry room in lineoleum...these rooms seem to take a beating.

Sherry...our girls never have early dismissal. Guess that is a good thing.

Tara...sorry to hear everyone is getting sick on you. Fighting a cold myself the last few days.

We built our house about 20 years ago. It is past time for a re-do. Oh what I wouldn't give to have our golden apple tree again. Pot'o'gold should be somewhere though.

Sherry, at least you have your priorities straight! We've waited until after way too many WDW trips. (Did I just say that?--ungratful thing I am)

Suzanne, dealership?...I think I have slept through your opportunity.

I'm adjusting to my pouty stuff. At least I think I am. DS is coming along well with the healing, however he is in a good amount of pain this week and has actually resorted to taking the pain meds again. Doc said it is a painful healing process. Now the pin is almost ready to pop through the skin and it is rubbing on his inside muscles or nerves causing almost constant pain. It is a normal thing and doc said it would probably occur. I think DS is desparate enough to call doc today. He has an apt. Mon. and thought he might not make it til then. Now when I ask him if he had fun whilst doing his damage he is replying that this may not have been worth it at all. It is so difficult to watch him suffer. Soon he gets the hardware out and will begin the next phase.

Amanda, I can totally understand that! Luis wants just the roller coasters and that's it. That is something Disney lacks (IMO) even with EE. There just aren't many thrill rides there and Luis wants to check them out. I haven't been to KI in a long time. But if Luis wants coasters, those are the places to go to!

Lily, best wishes to your DS! That sounds painful! How much longer will he have to have the stuff in his arm?

I think I cutting back on decluttering today. Just going to do my normal stuff for the day. We have dinner out with a friend of Luis' too... so that should be nice! Off to get moving on the day

Morning, all! Yes, we have heat and hot water, so we are clean and sleeping reasonably well. Been spending all my spare time making cards and working on projects for the store. Not trying to avoid the DIS, but we just found out that a member of the board of directors for Michael's lives right here and frequents our store! So we are trying to get all our samples on display spruced up and stay up to date with the current feature set. This month, weddings are the focus and we are showcasing everything from Save the Date cards to invitations to favors and table decor to thank you cards. Our shipment last week had some of the new products for the next feature, which will be Baby and we got our project book yesterday. Adorable ABC book, wall decor using canvas, door hanger and the usual shower invitation, birth announcement and thank you cards. I am loving all three lines of paper and embellishments, too! We have Basic Grey "Oh, Baby", Foof-a-La (Autumn Leaves) "Nursery Rhymes", and Daisy D's "Lullaby". I can't decide which is my favorite! Oh, yeah, and we got a whole bunch of new Disney stuff, so our "Character" section is now totally Disney! Some really great new Disney albums, too. Anyone need anything?! LOL!!

Prayers and PD for all you fighting the germies, out there. Especially Jarrod with that nasty high fever! I get really anxious when it gets up over 102º. And extra prayers for your DS, Lily. Sounds like a long, tough healing process. Strength and comfort to all of you.

Our house was built 20 years ago also, Lily....and so the need for some re-dos.
Welll......we just went to FL and are going again in Oct, but still redoing

No Mickey anything in the bathrooms. The one I just got towels for, I am taking all the Mickey things out of I only want to redo the tub and surround and I decided I didn't want to redo the blinds and countertops, so am going a different direction with color. Going sandy and seashells to keep the tan stuff looking good. Easier to find the tans in the tiles I want for the bath too.

I get to go play in traffic too.....both directions today and in the rain....oh joy.
going to stop by Christin's workplace and check out some shorts, croc sandals and filtered water bottles too

I have a sink! Did I say this already? Can't remember. The dishwasher was supposed to be installed the same day, but the installer discovered that it was damaged. Sigh. Soooo... we've reordered. A week to ten days and the kitchen should be done! Well, except the floor. Ho hum.
