yay for another package arriving! Sounds like a wonderful one there Nancy :)

Suzanne, congrats to your SIL & MIL! Oh and I hate you right now. I thnk almost half of the Andes mints are gone already :p

I need to go. Just back from knitting but Luis is tired and wants to go to sleep. So see ya!

hi gang,

I got my box today!!!!

I got it from Miss Kimmie!! Thank you so much!
She sent:
a pair of black gloves with fringy stuff that matches the scraf my mom made for me (well not the color but the fringy stuff...make sense??) I even wore them to bowling tonight and they were very warm and comfy.
A coloring book and crayons (which I told jarrod to keep his greasy grimy gopher gut hands off of!...Mine mine I tell ya!)
A garnet colored stocking with a beeeeutiful snowflake broach!! Inside the stocking was a little box of godiva chocolate (I already ate the chocolate :teeth: )
A cute Christmas towel, a star ornament, snowman klenex pack (don't want to use those on my nose..I'd feel guilty :teeth: ), christmas napkins, little packs of Nascar chcolate candies (Jarrod and Ethan laid claim to those!), a christmas notepad that has magnets, christmas pencils. All of it wonderful stuff!! Thank you so much!!!

Oh and the return address label was too cute...it said it was from my secret santa!! then it had the address on it!!!

I loved it all!!!

Gotta go send the link to my album to some other people. Oh and I found the password part. I hate thinking anyone can get to the pictures so I put the password on it. The password is "theworld" if you try and can't get in. I think everyone has seen them but if not!

Have a good night gang!!

If you want that in liquid form, you have to give a coffee a try. Starbucks peppermint mocha tastes just like those candies. Yum!

Suzanne

Well, the furnace is fixed again, and it has lasted through the night (shock). Appearantly there was a leak in the condenser that was getting the circuit board wet and caused the circuit board to go. You'd think that three circuit boards ago they would have realized that it was wet, and fixed the leak then, eh?

Karen

Morning all! Kind of feeling blah today. Not a physical thing, but mentally blah.

Hmmm... Lou said hi... that scares me ;)

Tara, sounds like you got a wonderful package there from Kimmie! Yay on that! I admit, I was thinking "Okay Tara where is the link" then I realized it was the same album I looked at before, just passworded now! I can be a bit dense at times. I know what you mean about some albums though. There are some I wouldn't want to leave out for the public ever!

Kimmie, I did forget to say before, yep that was an adorable picture beneath "our Epcot pic" You should've seen it in person... sooooo cute :)

I did not hear Suzanne... I did not hear Suzanne... I did not hear Suzanne...
;)

Karen, glad they got the furnace fixed. I just hope they didn't charge you more for the fix since they couldn't figure that out the first or at least the 2nd time. I hope that's the last of it for the furnace problems!

Not sure what I am up to today... maybe will watch more TV and sort through more laundry.

Good morning.

Glad the furnace is fixed, Karen.....and hope it stays that way!

Yay for the last exchange arrival :bounce: Sounds like another good package :teeth:
Baskets in spring??

I am headed out early today.....errands at the mall  Hope not to be gone too long.....but we'll see.

Mornin'.

Condensed Cliff's Notes on the Ya Yas:

WooFreakin'Hoo on the arrival of the Christmas boxes!! :cheer2: It sounds as though all of you made out like bandits.

Yippee Cay Aye to Karen --   on the fixing of her furnace!

Still waiting on my nutty fudge from Nancy, Elaine! How long does it take you to go to Washington and back?

Kim - a pink makeup case?? :rotfl2:

Yo Yo, Lou! (Psstttt... did you all know that Lou is a man?? )

Suzanne and Beth - sounds like you both are working fools!

Tara - how are the kiddies behaving for you in class? I cracked up at Jar's comments about the tree and presents! :rotfl:

Deadline week here - 'nuff said. :guilty:

And one of DS's classmates pulled out in front of a dump truck last night - right across from our house. It was very bad. :guilty: They had the road shut down for 4.5 hours -- lifeflighted two of the passengers to Pittsburgh. 5 teens in a SUV, don't know exactly the details. I was coming home for work when it happened. DS said it was a huge BANG! He rushed out in the snow wearing only a pair of shorts and a t-shirt and a pair of slip-on clogs. Lots of adults came running out, so he came back home and got dressed and later went out -- didn't know it was teens from the school until 1.5 hours later and never knew the names until about 3 hours later. 2 of the kids are in critical condition. Please pray for them all - and the truck driver, he was devastated that the accident happened. :guilty:

We live at a very bad intersection of a main road, and then back roads - and it's really hard to get out of the intersection because of the high amount of traffic.

Morning Ya Yas!

Pam, so sorry to hear of the accident. Prayers being for all.
Hope your deadline goes smoothly. Wouldn't that be great! :wizard:

Packers and packees, nice job!

Suzanne, great young one there making sure you get it all!

Elaine, sorry about the blahs.

JRKaren, hope this fix is it now. I think you've had way more than your share.

Loubon, nice of you to drop by! :wave2:

Tara, love the "Jar report" :rotfl2: Such a cutie!

Today is lunch with coworker and boss. We are going to enjoy.

Oh, Pam!!!! What a heartbreaking incident!! Lots and lots of prayers and PD headed out for all those affected. And a big comforting  for your DS. You all have had much more than your share of tragedy in the last few years. Hope everyone recovers quickly and fully!

:teeth: Yay, Nancy got her package!! Glad you liked it all. Yes, that chicken is one of Dizzy's cousins. Just be careful, her cousins are all practical jokers! It was one of those who caused me to end up on the floor at Jellyrolls cuz I wasn't giving him enough spotlight!!

Tara got her's from Kimmie!! Whoo-hoo, more good stuff!!! I must say, Tara, Jar had me :rotfl2: with his comments to you on the Christmas tree/decorating/presents!! I guess we all know where his priorities are!!

Thank goodness Karen has heat again!! What a bunch of goons you must have had working on that darn thing for them to take so long to finally figure out what was going on! I sure hope this was the last repair that will be needed for a good loooooooooong time. How frustrating for you. A big comforting  for you, too. You have had more than your share of trials and tribulations this year and it's about time things started turning around for you!!

Suzanne, tough working all those extra hours, but that OT check is sooo nice, isn't it?! So, all the wine is Mommy's? And if Ed asks nice, you'll share, huh?! LOL!!!!

:rotfl: on the pink makeup case, Kim! I have some makeup I can send Cam to put in it, too! I think it's just HIS colors!!! :rotfl:

Speaking of makeup.....must go make my face look presentable. Almost time to head into work. Hope ya'll have a lovely day!!! :grouphug:

good morning gang...ok so maybe it is close to afternoon already!!

I'm tired and crabby today! No particular reason just Christmas stress!! I got a kick out of Jarrod too and it didn't particularly bother me the other day but today I'm feeling it more...probably means I will sit down and eat Krispy Krack again tonight and say to heck with the work!!!

We had a Christmas party at school this morning for our Special Ed. dept. so I started my day eating junk food! I get to do it again tomorrow for our School wide christmas breakfast (but it is spoiled by the faculty meeting which follows the breakfast!!)

Kimmie...I'm wearing my snowflake today hoping to get some snow here before Christmas!! hehehe

gotta go and look for something productive to do!!

tara

Ran errands and now I am about to laod a new CD into my iPod. I hope "The Real Thing" won't disappoint :p

Nancy, I admit I am much more into summer than spring... I would definitely be for a summer exchange though!

Pam, so sorry to hear about that accident :( I will keep them all in my prayers.
As for the fudge.... well... umm... did you know that it's not that hard to pick nuts out of fudge? I could just give you what I have left over! The nuts are very clean looking... sucked all teh fudge straight off of them :p

Lily, enjoy lunch! Any special occasion for it?

Bethie, how is your knee doing now? I hope you aren't working it too hard with work and hte move!

Tara, eat up on Krispy Krack... I just found the holiday tree little debbie things to be a good "medicine" too ;)

Hi y'all

I'll ketcup soon to see what y'all have been up to for the past few days.

I was out sick yesterday but am feeling much better now. I am pleased to be able to announce that we finally have a Christmas tree in place, lights on the outside of the house, and our small frame light nativity scene in place.

There has been lots of shopping going on. As I was adding bags to our hidden Santa stash, I asked Mrs. AA if she had any idea as to what was already there.

She didn't.

She bought gifts earlier in the year and had forgotten about them. She even agreed with me when I said that our kids had too much for Christmas.

Don't throw things, believe me...I spoil them plenty. However, we may put some of the smaller things back for gifts later in the year.

Speaking of the girls; here is this year's Santa pic

And I suppose I should offer this as well

Alabama Alan's WDW pics

I could not edit them so some are pretty bad and uncaptioned, but since I have enjoyed everyone else's it only seems right to share.

Of course, mine are primarily of little girls getting autographs. ;)

Alan, thanks for sharing your family picture trip. I really enjoyed looking at them. I was wondering how well Pilot did on the trip since she and Mrs. AA didn't really have all that much practice together.

Hey! That pic you included here is spectacular! It looks like the same person that hangs around here!

Beth, hope your workday is smooth and that your knee is doing ok.

Tara, Krispy Krack to get rid of the crabbies! Sometimes ya just gotta give in.

Elaine, Lunch was a Christmas celebration with just us. We all work so hard and never have any real time to chit chat that we thought it might be a great way to get together to do just that. It was great to enjoy our company without interruption. I need to upload a change of songs to my shuffle. Haven't done that yet.

Hey gang,

Elaine...I've tried those little debbie snacks! they are yummy!!

AA...your pics are great!! I love seeing the little girls in their costumes. I'm sad that there aren't more things for boys like that. I mean I did try to get Jar to dress up as Cindy but he declined :confused3 :rotfl2: I don't think Ethan would have minded...since he has stolen a pair of Jars underroos and been wearing them on his arm for a purse for the last 2 days!! :rotfl:

Christmas stress must be getting to the kids too because I swear everyone of my classes has been PMS (and i'm not talkin' just 'bout the girls either!!) I'm calling them my "bunch O' grumps!!

Okay, so who has 180 days figured out for next Thanksgiving...I gotta make sure I get my dinning plans in on time :teeth: I keep saying I'm not going next year but the more I say no the more the voices in my head (yes there are quite a few) keep saying yes!!

Oh, and I think I'm getting a thingy for Christmas to play my iPod in my car!! Circuit City has one for just under $60 and I'm going to see if my lil bro will install it for me!!!

Okay, one group of girls has just arrived for their daily tormenting by yours truly...must run and perform my duties accordingly!!

back later!
tara

One last set of pics here...

My Dad's WDW pics

Great pics Alan... and your girls are beautiful :)

Lily, that sounds like a lot of fun! I am glad you got to enjoy lunch like that!

Tara, I am just mad that they only put 5 in a box... and hten charge what they do :p
As for next year's trip... I think my days will be a week later... maybe the 2nd or 3rd through the 9th or 10th. We'll see

Your dad took some awesome photos. I was amazed to see the flagpole in it's proper place at the Magic Kingdom. By the time I got there, the flagpole had been moved and there was a big ugly stage in its place (courtesy of Regis, I hear). I hear that they restored things to their proper place the day after I left for home.

A quick note for those of you who might have missed my proud papa thread here on the CB. My son got an acceptance letter from NEOUCOM this afternoon. Looks like he's going to Kent State University for undergraduate work and then on to NEOUCOM (Northeast Ohio Universities College of Medicine) to get his MD. Sue and I are so proud of him that we could just bust.

Okay....we don't have to do it ;) We just always have.
I admit I like spring better than summer ;)

Congrats, John to DS and also to DD :teeth:

I admit....I have only looked at a few of everyone's photos :( :duck:
If they aren't captioned, it is just too much time to look through them all for me on dial-up. I looked most at Tara's because she did have quite a few captions, so I could tell what I was going to go to. Sorry everyone :(
I did like the ones I saw ;)

John, saw the thread... congrats again though! And honestly, I agree. My dad does take great pics for the most part. He knows how to find cute ones of kids too :teeth:

Nancy, understand about the pictures... maybe I'll go through and post more now and then. I'm finally finding more time to do things like that.
Guess I've never been much for spring... spring doesn't really exist here and no holidays are big to me.

Anywho... watching House... back from commercial ;)

Actually got to watch House tonight!

TC, Didn't get to see your post on the CB. Congrats to your DS and family. That is terrific news!

Elaine pics your Dad took are quite nice. Thanks.
