Now that I'm all caught up I have no time left to post. Off to figure out what to wear to work :confused3
Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Good morning all! Just had one of those phantom phone calls... where it rings once and that's it. I suppose one of my family accidentally hit redial wrong (like I do)

Lily, I thought House was very good last night. Usually I can "tell" when they've hit a right diagnosis... that one blindsided me. Kind of cool!

Rose Mary, do check in when you get into work... be better than working itself actually, right?

Just noticed a lof of people have been busy lately... not going to name names cuz I'd leave someone out ;) but if you look in to see all going on and don't plan on posting... just say hi if you can. I know holidays are stressful and not always fun for some, but I just like knowing people are okay.

Okay that and I realize the last week or so the boards have been slow, but eh ;)

I have a bit to do today and of course it is stuff I don't want to do... maybe I'll get throgh all the laundry (most is washed, just needs folded) today and put all the boxes for the decorations away too :)

Good morning.

Lots of little things to do around the house today....including more cookies ;)

If kimmar pops in, thank you for the card :teeth: ;)

Planning a Las Vegas trip now  It snuck up on me and is happening a month earlier than I thought, so have to get going on it ASAP.

Hope everyone has a great day :)
Cold and icy here :cold:

I popped in last night but didn't have time to sit and type...just stand and read for a second and then run.

You know with all the talk on the CB about the dead/not so dead poster...I thought I would make sure everyone knows that the stuff in my life is not made up :rotfl: my stories of struggles with everyday things in life is totally true...now let me regale you with my latest trial and tribulation :teeth:

After last night I've decided that for Christmas next year I'm pulling out the easter tree that already has its little eggs on it and I'm not going to bother with lights or anything else. hehehe

I've already told you about the lights on the front of the house...so with that in mind, I pulled out the tree last night to put it up (this was of course after vacumming, dusting, and picking up the dinning room) I start pulling the pieces down and begin assembling this thing. My first mistake was that the part of the tree I thought was the bottom was really the middle :earseek: , so I take it apart and put in the right section (sucker must weigh 50 pounds!) I then put in the middle section (the formerly bottome section) and then jumped really high to put in the top section. I then dive into the middle of the tree to plug in all the prelit lights...prelit my @$$! I get it all together and the darn thing doesn't work...not a light even flickers. Once again I have that song running through my head..you know the "12 Pains of Christmas"!

I finally pull out an extension cord to test each of the strands of prelit lights and viola the whole dang thing comes on...apparently the cord is bad  I'm really excited, I stand up to admire my handywork only to discover that the entire middle section is dead :confused3 so once again I begin investigating...at this point I sounded more like a sailor on liberty than a jolly old elf!! after an hour of this torture I resort to finding a string of lights and wrapping the darn thing again.

All is going well until I realize the section that I've just done looks very pretty with the extra lights and now the rest of the tree looks ugly with so few lights on them. This leads to the decsion to add more lights to the rest of the dang thing. First, I added a set of net lights to the tree. They actually looked pretty darn good. Then I pull out more lights to find some we have saved for a hundred plus years don't work. So there mom and I sit at midnight...pulling white lights out of a string that did work replacing them with colored lights. Of course they couldn't just fit in like that, we had to pull the white bulbs out of the bases and replace the bulbs with the colored lights.

Finally at 1 am I crawled into bed, only to be joined by a mini munchkin who was having trouble sleeping. So tonight I get to fight with a tree some more!! :badpc: I think I'd rather do this to my head than fight with the tree!! hehehehe

Oh, and I forgot the other night to mention 3 other things from Kimmie!! I'm such a dork...she also sent some bath flowers that I guess fizz in the bath...Jarrod wants to try them for his next bath! Hehehe He will smell good at least!! She also sent a Christmas Whiskie!!! Not a drink but a whisk with an egg on the handle all dressed up for Christmas!! He is way too cute to use so he will be decorating a counter in the dinning room!!

Sorry I forgot to mention those the other night!!

Okay, off to do real work!!

:rotfl: :rotfl:
hehehe That's what I think I have!! I know that once it is finished I'll be happy with it!! It's just the getting it done part!!

Morning, all. Tired YaYa here. I had a loooooong day yesterday, but it was all on the clock. Pretty bad that after my 4 hour shift tomorrow, I'll be into overtime for all of my hours on Friday and Saturday! :cool1:

Tara, thanks for the laugh. Ed was reading it over my shoulder and we both could envision your trials-now I need to go back and find him the outdoor lights post!

Alan, cool picture there! I need to go look at the pictures, maybe I should do that now while waiting for the dryer.

Lainey, perhaps Luis's cell phone call was calling the house? Ed and I seem to do that to each other, although not so much now that we got the current phones.

Geez, my sinuses are really annoying today.

Karen, glad you're getting heat again. @%^%$^ repairmen, though!

Going to make some sandwiches-I was hungry when I got home last night, but eating at 3am did not seem like a good idea.

Suzanne

Tara, I think I'd ditch the Christmas tree idea. I don't have that kind of staying power to work through it at all. I'd have probably removed the middle and had a rather squatty looking thing. :rotfl: :rotfl: You get the award for pressing on through it all for sure!

Suzanne, that is some spending $ you got going on. Hope you hold up through it all.

Yay Nancy! Planning LV. Mmmmm cookies! :teeth:

:wave2: All. Happy lunchtime :teeth: .

I agree Elaine, posting from work is much more fun than working. However, where I now sit my computer faces the hallway so everyone coming and going can see what I'm doing. :( . I should be moving an aisle over soon so it won't be as much of a problem.

:rotfl: :rotfl: Tara, keep 'em comin'. I really loved the reminders from Jar! so nice that you have that LOL. My DS keeps asking when the EARLIEST is that he can open a present. He just won't give up. He was complaining that I was torturing him last night with wrapped gifts under the tree already :teeth: sometimes it is fun being a mom LOL.

Ok no more time. Hopefully I'll get back to the rest of ya'll later. Darn work!

^&%$#!!! Stooopid slow Dis! :badpc:

Yay Tara got her box! Okay you skeered me at first. Intially I was thinking, Okay I know there were other items in that box! I was on the verge of asking you if the box looked as though it'd been opened before you got it. Oh and the little book... I realized as I was putting it in that the little "charm" bookmark was missing from the ribbon! I'm sorry about that. I don't know what happened to it. :( Anyhoo... glad to hear everything arrived more or less intact. Happy coloring! :p

Evil Christmas trees! :rotfl:

Loubon is a man!?! :o

Wait! Santana?! Bo!? Info pleeeease!!! Is his solo CD out yet?

No, can you believe it! Cam received an empty make up case. How sad is that!? Bethie you're a dear for offering to help Cam in his makeup crisis. :p I believe he's a spring. Or maybe an autumn. Hmmm. :rolleyes1

A sex change? Seriously Nancy!? LOL!!

How are the mental blahs, Elaine? Those stink. :(

Yay for fixed furnaces! Fingers crossed that it stays that way, Karen.

Pam, my prayers are with those involved in the accident. Any word on their condition?

TC, congratulations to your son! That is wonderful!

The WDW pictures have been wonderful ya'll! Thank you so much for taking the time to share them. :)

So the question remains.... do I trudge to town again for more gift gathering or do I stay home and wrap what I've got? Hmmm.

If you want to see my December WDW photos, I have posted them temporarily at John's December photos

There are one or two Ya Ya sightings amongst the photos. If anyone wants the original higher resolution photos, drop me a PM with your email address and I'll send you the 4Mpixel version.

Kimmie...I'm sorry I forgot some of it. I couldn't take it to the computer room because it would be lost forever to the Bermuda triangle I call an office!! So I ran upstairs tried to memorize everything and went back to the computer the sad thing is I did it 3 times!! :teeth: I can't wait to sit down and color! While he did leave the coloring book alone...the sugar hound found where i put the goodies and got into the stocking and ate most of the chocolate cars (without permission mind you and after eating 2.5 Krispy Krack doughnuts!!). I have also gotten more compliments for this snowflake!! I have worn it the last two days and everyone wants to know where I got it. I just tell them it was my secret elf!! :teeth:

Lily...trust me I'm 'bout over this Christmas tree. I say to heck with ornaments I'm leaving it with just lights!! hahaha

I'm glad people can appreciate the trials I face!! I like having other people feel my pain!!! hehehe

I have tutoring and detention today. I have 3 kids coming in this afternoon for detention along with my 7 tutoring kids! It will be a regular old party in here!! hehehe

Hi all... long day with things that I really didn't want to do ;)

One of which was cleaning up about 10 oz of liquid soap that fell onto my carpet. Do you realize how much that stuff suds up even when you try to suck it up with a carpet cleaner? PITA!

Suzanne, I cleaned my desk off and Pooh looks so cute all lit up :teeth:

Lily, maybe we need to do a search party for our missing Ya Yas

Nancy, have fun planning htat trip to LV! Sorry that it is much earlier than you thought it would be, but sounds like it would be fun!

Tara, you just went through why I have a prelit tree that has it so that if one goes out, they all stay on still. No way in... well... warmer places ;) would I go through nearly 1000 lights! Sorry about the tree though.

Oh and I'm with you too... my stories are real. If they weren't they would be a heck of a lot more exciting than the ones I give :p Plus, could you imagine trying to keep track of them all?

Alan, that tree was too funny!

Suzanne, good point! I wonder if that was it. I remember with Rebecca at WDW her phone beeped at her and we looked at it together and for some reason it was calling Alan. SIlly cell phones (I'm beginning to like them less and less lately ;))

Rose Mary, hope you move soon! I so understand that... hate being set up in places wehre all can see me.

Kimmie, the blahs are still there... don't expect them to pass to quickly. I'd have stayed home if I were you... then again it's snowing here :p

John, I loved the pics you had there! You got some really cool ones of the arches at Epcot! Looked at a few full size too :)

Nice pic Kimmar! Luis and I were talking about going for a drive down south... one of the routes would take us right through Elizabethtown

Back to work... see y'all later!

Afternoon, everyone!!! Snatching a few minutes to post while the office is empty. Got my MRI today, but won't get the results till next Wednesday. I could not believe the noise that machine made!! You'd never know the thing was taking pictures--sounded more like major construction!! I felt like telling it to just make me a new knee while it was in there.

John, that's simply wonderful news about your DS!! You have every right to be the proud papa!!

Keep the stories coming, Tara! It doesn't look like my tree will be going up this year, so I'm living vicariously through yours. Sounds like your "sugar hound" has a good nose!! Have you tried the freezer?

Blahs be gone!!!!

It's my day off from the store, today, so I'm workin' at the CPA office. I have a feeling there will be some rather nasty medical expenses coming up in the near future and I figure I better start filling the old penny jar. Better get back to it--Dave will be picking me up in a couple of hours and I'm not even 1/2 done.

I used to love volunteering for MRI scans here at work. I actually find that the clink, clunks, and hums sound like music to me. I guess that comes from listening to too much Lou Reed when I was in college. Or perhaps it is due to having a percussionist in the family.

Just heard from James. He got another acceptance letter today. From Youngstown State!!! Woohoo. If he wants to make his father happy, he'll go there for his undergraduate work (only because I was most impressed with how YSU handles the BS/MD program and totally unimpressed with Kent State). I just have to keep reminding myself that it is James going to college and not me.

 Bo/Santana info! Someone! Pleeeeease! I don't think I can hold out much longer! Going to post an Apolo picture every hour on the hour until someone tells me somethin'.... :teeth:

Oh oh, never mind... I'll go peruse Amazon. :Pinkbounc

LOL! Tara, I've done the same thing many times! I finally broke down and started bringing exchange goodies up here to sit on the desk in front of me while I post, because so many times I've forgotten things. As long as I know your box made its way to you intact, I'm happy. Isn't that pin the prettiest thing? I had a different one picked out, but then spotted that one. Oooh, a sparklie!!! :p I grabbed it and put the other one back. :)

Chatty? Me? Uh oh. Is 7 posts in a month too much? Sorry. I'll cut down. **Oops! ETA: ELEVEN posts?! I HAVE been chatty! Eeep! **

Still blah'ish Elaine? But but.... :( How come? Want me to come and cook you some chicken soup or somethin'? :p I could shoot you in the foot again! Post old Boo Boo pics? Send a hug?

Beth, I missed something. What happened to your knee!?!? :(
