Good Morning YaYaland! Silly me is thinking of hitting the early a.m Penneys sale  Hopefully it won't be too bad.

Thanks for the cards Elaine and Nancy! Something else, I need to sit down and do. I was being so careful opening the card from Nancy and just as I opened it..........AAAAAAAaaHHHhh Choooo! So, I have Nancy to thank for helping me decorate my apt. :teeth:

Great ketch-up Alan. I especially loved:
It's close enough; all guys are dopes anyway.
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I'm with Luis and driving in the snow. I will not drive in it at all.
::yes:: Totally agree, I stay home when it snows. :rolleyes1

Karen- Sorry about your back woes. Take it easy and let that man & boys help out as much as possible.

Good now I don't have to worry about sying anything to get myself canned!!
Don't worry chickie, we got your back ;) . I think there is still some bail money left and a hefty load of cheetohs!!! Gotta go check out your pics, anything I should be forewarned about? :teeth:
Nancy, so sorry to hear about DD's car. Sounds like she needs a new one for Christmas :teeth: .
Beth, take care of that knee. At least you can sit and work that helps.
:wave2: Elaine, Pam, Paula, Sherry, Shep, Lily.............
gotta go hit that sale before it snows. :teeth:

Morning, all. Gotta go run some errands soon before heading in to work. Both of these kids need haircuts!

Bethie, you be careful now. Being on crutches in snow is not a good mixture.

I got cards, too! DH experienced confetti for the first time-he couldn't understand why I was opening the envelope so carefully!

RM, get some deals for me, please? I'd like a new back massager, I can't find my old one!

We hung the ornaments the other night, and both boys were quite enamored of the reindeer in the outhouse, Pam!

Working all weekend, I will try to pop in as time allows.

Suzanne

Yay for confetti arrival....always glad to help decorate :teeth:

And thank you for the card, Elaine :)

No new car from us....that would just get broken into too  Christin has such bad luck with cars and computers :(

Any news on any exchange arrivals. We're still waiting on those last 4.

We are going to the movie today.....not sure what yet. Dave's pick
I think it will end up being Syriana.

Beth, sorry about your knee. Take care of yourself and be careful on those crutches.

Nancy,
Is Christin's car one of the popular makes that thieves like to break into? (There's always a Top 10 List of those on TV.)

Suzanne - I thought that ornament was hilarious! That was the only thing I could find in the stores that resembled roadkill -- I have never been able to find another of those critters I sent Nancy a couple of years ago!

Rose Mary - hope you make out like a bandit at the stores!! Buy yourself something pretty!!

Beth - Boo Hiss! on the knee injury. All of my bins of scrapbook stuff are calling to me - but I have to wait until after Christmas to answer . ;)

Elaine - hope you're feeling better! I've been on the couch the last two nights with a stiff neck and headache.

Light snow flurries here - at least 7 inches of the stuff on the ground. We have to get that Christmas tree up tonight! Tara - we need to live closer to each other -- that way we could help the other decorate. ::yes::

I think I am dying - okay, I think I am having a gallbladder attack. :guilty: And it's my Mom's birthday -- and our anniversary (DH and I), 23 years of wedded bliss! :rotfl:

I have to get to the post office and bank and then find big candy canes for DS to pass out at his Executive Council meeting of the OA tomorrow.

Happy Anniversay Pam !!!

and :bday: to mom too ::yes::

Hope you feel better.

Christin has a Honda CRX....lots of them around.

Quick hi... I want to get a nap in before I go to the Christmas party tonight.

Nancy, thank you for the card! It came yesterday, but I didn't look at any mail until today.

I was glad to see the last Christmas present I ordered arrived too!

Pam, hope your head is feeling better soon!

Bethie, take care of that knee!!!

LOL, Rose Mary... I didn't figure y'all really got snow there to worry about.

I'll catch y'all later!

Good evening, Ya Ya family! Just got home from a nice long day at the store and I am still in a good mood!! Had a good day sales-wise, I'm getting better on the crutches, and my manager and I interviewed a new girl tonight who is going to be a SUPER addition to our staff! Just wish she was able to start work before the 1st of the year, but things are going to be slowing WAY down between now and Christmas. Then the scrappers will be coming out of the woodwork to do all the pix they took over the holidays! Oh, yeah, and the knee is really feeling a whole lot better, too!! I guess the silly crutches are actually helping after all.

Came home to a package in the mail, too!! :teeth: Thank you, Tara, you did a SUPERB job on the exchange! She sent me 3 pairs of sox to keep my toesies warm--1 pair is fuzzy blue and white tweedy kind of fluffy material, 1 pair are blue with a snowman on the front (he has googly eyes!!) and a pair of sox with toes! They have green and white stripes all the way up with red toes and a red cuff at the top, then painted on the front are 2 santas, kicking up their heels. One says naughty and the other says nice--they are just the cutest things I have ever seen!! Also, there was a Santa ornament wrapped up in a potholder with the same Santa appliqued on the front, a pair of finger towels--1 navy blue with a beautiful gold dove embroidered on it and 1 white with a gold star, red bow and green letters spelling JOY. But wait!! There's MORE!! Another little package contained a bashful-looking little boy angel ornament, shyly offering a tiny Christmas tree with a star on top and yet another package contained a really neat angel made of leaves or cornhusks or something of the sort that looks suspiciously like the ornament we admired in one of the shops at AK!! A package of 8 x 8 patterned papers with a set of Jolee's embellishments of a wreath, trees, and stockings for scrapbooking. Last, but certainly not least, a Tea & Jelly Sampler with 12 packages of teas for all of the 12 days of Christmas. Thank you so very, very much, Tara!! I can't wait to try the teas and I'm wearing the fuzzy furry sox already! The ornaments will look great on the tree as soon as it goes up at the new place and the little towels are perfect for the guest bath!

Happy Anniversary to Pam!!! Is this any day to be having a gall bladder attack?!! Hope you feel better soon so you can enjoy the occasion! Hope your mom is enjoying her birthday, too!

Nancy, that is just the absolute pits about Christin's car!! How frustrating for her and you all, besides. I certainly hope this is the LAST time and she can get on with her life. I think a different car might be in order, for sure. Oh, and I'd like some of that fudge too--with or without nuts, I'm not particular.

So, who wants to do the last of my Christmas shopping for me?! I am fresh out of ideas for Dave's DS & DIL. I got Mrs. Prindable's carmel/chocolate apples for all the girls at the store and we got a very nice wreath for his mom, but I'm stumped on the rest of the family.

Going to go put my foot up for the rest of the evening, now. Hope ya'll are having a great weekend! Later, all! :grouphug:

Hey Gang,

Finally, got my net lights on the bushes....only took 6 hours to do two hours worth of work. I was so frustrated by the time I was done, I almost couldn't see straight. First I couldn't find an extension cord for the lights on the other side of the front porch and then when I got them all connected they started blowing fuses. I ended up going to 4 different store looking for the dang fuses before i found them. I finally ended up running two extension cords around the house to the outside outlet. Now they are all up and running. Why I didn't think of running two separate extension cords the first time is beyond me....I suppose I was really looking for something to keep me totally busy today! :rotfl:

Beth, glad you liked your goodies. I have one more thing I found the other day that I had meant to put in the package but in my haste to get it mailed semi on time it was inadvertantly left out. So I will get it in the mail the next time I hit the post office! And yes, that corn husk Angel does look a little like the one you picked up at DAK that day!! I waited for you to walk away and then I snatched it like a thief in the night and put it with the other stuff I was buying!! I was sure glad you mentioned something that you liked!! (or at least I hope you liked it when you saw it!!)

anyway, going back to the couch to watch a few more hours of the Miami Vice marathon on TVLand. I called my best friend and asked her, "do you know what we would be doing if it were 10pm on a Friday night in 1984???" She immediately answered, "Watching Miami Vice." We cracked up. Yep wwe were together almost every Friday night at either her house or my house and we would be glued to Don Johnson!! oh my what a hunk!! Watching it reminds me why I thought he was such a hunk! I had pretty good taste back then!! :rotfl:

Have a good night all!!

Pam, happy anniversary and hope that gall bladder pain goes away!! hugs,
tara

You know that you get me with that darn confetti every time. Somehow I keep forgetting about your need to spread your decorating far and wide. This time my DW had slit open the envelope, but she swears that she didn't look at the card. But then how does she explain those little decorations mixed in with the rest of the mail that day?

Your card made my day. :sunny:

Dunno how long the link will be active, but I did upload "most" of the photos that I took at WDW this past week. You may recognize one or two people if you take the time to look.

Glad I could make your day :teeth:

Yay for another exchange package arrival. Sounds like a good one too.
3 to go. :) I do hope they are all in the mail by now ::yes::

How is the packing going, Beth? Do you have time to fit that in between being so busy and having a bad knee?

Sorry about the light problems. Tara.
Dave finally got the rest of ours up and our tacky inflatable Santa :rotfl: (sorry, but I like him ).

We saw Ice Harvest today.

Post office said the exchange package I sent out was supposed to be delivered yesterday! I was really hoping to hear about another arrival.

Ringing bells at church this morning and I love the piece we are doing. Just so thankful I play the little bells--my arms are so tired from these darn crutches, I don't know that I could pick up anything much bigger!

Tara, dontcha hate those "Duh!" moments? Glad you got your lights up, but so sorry it took so long and was such a frustrating job for you. Thanks again for such a great exchange package!!

John, I swear those little confetti pieces have legs and they literally JUMP out of the envelope! No wonder you were finding them mixed in with the rest of the mail! I was super careful with mine and I'm still finding shiny little things on the carpet every day!

So, Nancy, how was Ice Harvest? I thought the preview looked rather interesting. Since I'm off today, we're going to see Narnia! Can't wait to see this new interpretation. I've been loving the previews and awed by some of the costumes and makeup I'm seeing.

Off to finish getting ready for church! See ya'll later!! :grouphug:

Morning all! Kind of sleepy,b ut I need to get ready for church. More snow too... love it (yes I miss FL) :p

I pretty much did just lay around yesterday. Trust me, coming back with this little cold knocked me out more than usual. So I feel bad since I am so behind in everything else. I'll be working on that today

Since I was so tired and blah, I did forget to say...

Happy (belated) Anniversary Pam

Yay for another good exchange delivered!!! Bethie, I am sure yours will show up on Monday. That's happened to me before with them (they say one day and they show up the next)

Tara, sorry about the lights. Sounds like yuck issues I had with the garland for my tree (not extention cords and all, but just that it took 4x longer than it should've)

John, I love all the pics you posted! I wish I had caught up with you at one point. I think the trips just didn't overlap enougha nd I was tired by the end of mine.

LOL, Nancy! I think I finally decided what I like and don't about decorations. Most of it has to do with size of yard. In the suburbs, the inflatable thingies look so huge and out of place. Where we were last night (more country) they looked so cute. So I can't say I hate them, I just don't like them when they over power a yard. We need pics!

I need to fly... time to dry my hair and dress for church. See y'all later!

Good Morning! :)

Happy Anniversary, Pam. :)

Beth, sorry to hear about your knee. Take it easy.

Thanks for the cards, Nancy & Elaine. :) And yay for you getting all the boys name's right, Elaine. :teeth: I'll hopefully have my cards out this week.

Going out to dinner this afternoon. My brother's b-day was Friday and we are celebrating it with him and mom today.

Morning Ya Yas!

Where oh where did my weekend go?

Yay! for the nice exchange package. Sounds lovely.

Tara, lights. Sorry, sounds like the National Lampoon movie. :teeth: I enjoyed your pics. My Mom enjoyed them too. It is nice to see the World through the eyes of the young' uns.

Bethie, oooh sorry about that knee. Glad it is feeling a bit better. Hope that it can be repaired better than new! Don't go slippin' and slidin' now.

John, thank you so much for the pics! DH enjoyed them this a.m. Your DD certainly looked happy in her Sweet 16 pics.

Pam, hope you are feeling better. Will the stones need to be surgically removed? Happy Anniversary! and Happy Birthday to Mom! (belatedly)

Confetti! Ah, yes I did receive my allotment. Thank you Nancy.
Elaine, thank you too. I received yours too.

My siggie has just been brought to "legal." (reluctantly, but I do understand the need) It's still fun to put stuff in it.

The weekend? Well it's been so full. Girls night went spectacularly fun! We had a wonderful dinner, great fun with our "white elephant" exchange...OMG way so much laughter! (Didn't have but one adult beverage...my fav green bottle ;) had to drive myself back home) Shopping day yesterday. Got much done, only some leftovers. They didn't have the outfit we wanted to get for my sister at the BaBs around here so I ended up coming back and doing an online order for my DSis. Back out to have dinner with DH. We haven't done that in quite some time as we are saving for our upcoming WDW vaca. Today is Dinner with the folks DH works with and then DH and I have tickets to the theater. We have tickets for Love Janis. One starts at 4:00 and the play starts at 6:30. Must rush through dinner, maybe only partake of appetizers and then off we go. Snowing here, not exactly sure how much we will get b/c we are at the edge of line so we never know exactly which way the wind blows. Have fun today everyone.

Good morning.

Hope that cold is getting better, Elaine.
And the knee, Beth. Take it easy.
Sounds like a fun and full weekend, Lily.

LOL...Santa looks little in my yard, Elaine ;) I love driving up the driveway and seeing him waving :teeth:

Ice Harvest was good. Interesting, took awhile to get into it. Even though it takes place on Christmas Eve, not a very "Christmasy" movie. Lots of swearing, adult situations, mob stuff, etc.
I want to hear your review of Narnia, Beth ::yes:: I can't wait to see that one. We didn't want to fight the crowds for it yesterday. I would normally go during the week and see it by myself, but not sure I can fit it in anytime soon.
And I do have free tickets, if I can figure out how to redeem them. Maybe a late night showing is in our future.

I'm sure your exchange package will arrive, Beth. No doubt ;)
The mail is slowing way down.
How about the other 2? No sign of them yet. One was mailed last Monday (if it got out ;) ) and the other was supposed to be mailed last Tuesday, I believe....guess we'll know when they show up ;)

We're going tree chopping later when Christin gets here....she had to work until midnight, so we'll see when that is. Then back to her place to set it up and decorate and then out to eat. Should be a fun day.

I really hope mine shows up tomorrow! It was mailed Tuesday morning. It must really be busy at the post offices up there-I figured it would be there Friday!

Suzanne

Hi y'all... been napping a little and catching up on things around the house.

I forgot to say yesterday, thank you Pam for the card! I love the pic on it :)

LOL, Sherry! I admit I can't always get the names right when I see the boys, but I do remember them (and spellings now). One of my pet peeves (names wrong) since Luis' brother still can't spell mine right, so I do my best to not get it wrong myself.

Lily, sounds like you had a great time with teh exchange! What do y'all try to use in yours (some are more "serious" than others I think)

Nancy, hope you had fun with the tree! No exchange here yet, and I have been keeping my eye out for packages actually (was waiting on a gift to come as well). I will post as soon as I see mine come in!
We are waiting on Narnia as well. Luis really really wants to see it, so we will before it goes out of the theater.

Suzanne, I hope yours shows up soon! I know the PO can be bad at times!

Well I should get back to catching up some on things. I hope y'all have a great evening :)

Hey All,

Back is doing a bit better. The shots and the brace are helping. Still trying to stay down as much as I can this weekend to let it rest. Of course ds and his projects hasnt kept me calm. That child HATES doing projects and he has one teacher who has now assigned four projects in four weeks. Dh just finshed making a trident for this last project. He has to do an oral report dressed as Poseidon. Wish they would spend as much time on christanity as they have on paganism.

Glad to hear the exchange packages are arriving. Its fun to hear what everyone got. Im sorry I couldnt participate this time.

Beth Im sorry to hear you are on crutches. I hope your knee heals quickly for you.

HAPPY BELATED ANNIVERSARY PAMMY!!!! Hope you are feeling better.

Nancy Im so sorry to hear about Cristians car. Man oh man they have it in for that car dont they? Glad you got to go out and see a movie today. We are thinking of using our free passes this week to go see HP4 again. Now that it has been out two weeks we can use our passes.

Im sorry I havent been able to look at anyones pictures but hopefully I will be able to sit and look at them tomorrow night. Depends on how my back does with working all day tomorrow.

Well better go make sure ds is finishing up the rest of his homework and then go lay back down before din din. Dh is making it now.

I will try to check in tomorrow.

HUGS TO ALL!!! :grouphug:

Hi all.

Elaine, our white elephant exchange had both good (serious) and silly stuff. We just laughed at the silly stuff. It was such fun. Ours went that we picked numbers then went in that order to pick gifts. Each was opened and as you opened yours if you wanted you could "steal" one from anyone who already opened theirs. Some "stanky" perfume we figured would be used to scare away the men rather than attract them. Some even "tried" to see if it would attract by spraying and sashaying through the bar area. (no response from anyone out in the bar) The person who got the coffee mug she threw out a year and a half ago thought she should have the perfume repellant. Someone else gave away baking things saying her husband thought she might like them...she absolutely does not make anything...we think he was hopeful. It was so funny hearing her describe the utensils that she was giving away. Oh such fun was had by all.

Karen, good to hear you back is a bit better. Sorry about those projects. We used to wish that they would teach our kids to write instead of playing arts and crafts. In college our DS has to write and it is like it is a new experience. He was not as prepared as he should have been--too many arts/crafts I'm thinking.

It was a wonderful day today! The dinner was fine and "Love Janis" was superb! I am happy and going to rest for whatever weekend I have left.
