Morning Ya Yas!

Pam you survived your trip! Congratulations. Does that mean there will be more in future years? :rotfl:

Suzanne, a whole hour break, in a mall! :earseek: Oh my.

RM you survived a little trip too. That is great. When do you pack your bag to go then?

Karen, I like hearing your story about your success. Now if it were me and scampi, I would be skeletal. Nothing from the water for me ever! Eeyyeeww!
:earboy2:

Paula, sounds like you are the smart BF shopper...online! :wizard:

No BF for me this year. DS#2 ventured out with his GF and survived! DH went local to fnd a particular style of boot he likes to wear and met with success! (Difficult size to find usually)

We spent the entire day doing rug cleaning and moving furniture in anticipation of bringing in the Christmas decorations. Exhausting. Glad we had leftovers for dinner. We were at it all day then I added laundry to that but only a couple of loads to fold. Still cold here and I'm still indoors! So far so good.

Off for my cuppa...
:sunny:

Well, I am now 99% packed. I am waiting on jeans from the dryer for tomorrow and I am also waiting on my iPod to finish charging so I can put it away. Once I do that I wil be done!

Lily, I agree... nothing from the water for me ever either! I'd be skeletal along with you :teeth:

I know a couple Ya Yas are leaving today... so I hope that they all have safe travels today!!!!

Lily you were a very busy lady yesterday!!! I hope you didnt hurt your back more than it was. Be careful sweetie. I love most things from the water but for the most part have learned to cook them low fat. Thats the only high fat meal we ever make around here. I know now that I really cant eat it anymore though. It took four hours for that iccky feeling to go away.

Going out today to get stuff for the house for dinners. I need to start using my crockpot again. I have figured several low fat meals for it. Ds has symphony on Monday so Im making london broil in the crock with onion soup and a dash of wine. That way little ds and dh can eat when they get home and ds and I can eat when we get home. Im also going to buy a ton of bottled water. I hated water before but after the storm that seems to be all I crave to drink. Nothing better than an ice cold bottle of water!

Elaine sorry you couldnt get your hardware yesterday. Hopefully Luis can get it for you today.

Well gotta go move Rascals cage so we can get the tree up today.

I will checkin laters!!

HUGS TO ALL!!!! :grouphug:

Good morning.

Safe travels to those leaving today....who?? Rose Mary? Anyone else?

Not sure what we are doing today. I think Dave is going to spend the day in the basement working....again  So much for a vacation week!
Which means I need a big project to keep me busy.

No tree, no decorations up here.....I just can't do it before the 1st. Even the kids can't don their holiday things until then :teeth:

have a good one all.

I admit I feel sad that my tree won't be up yet. I follow our Church calendar for Christmas and Advent starts tomorrow. I guess one week won't hurt much ;) I doubt I'd have time to figure out exactly where I would want it anyway :p

Nancy, here are all the dates for the Ya Yas

Beth & Dave- 11/25 - 12/3
Tara & gang - 11/25 - 12/4
Rose Mary - 11/26 - 11/29
Elaine & Luis - 11/27 - 12/3
Alan and family - 11/27 - 12/3
JRKaren - 11/29 - 12/5
Jon- 11/30 - 12/4

Alan and his clan are arriving tomorrow, but they are leaving today to drive to Tampa to visit an old pastor. They hopefully will be hitting the road shortly if they haven't left already :)

I also know that John (TC) will be there on the 30th as well... but can't remember when he will leave.

No Christmas tree up this weekend for us, too! Since DD now insists on a real tree - we will go as a family to the great outdoors next weekend, venture into the forest and cut down our own.

(Okay, we will get into the pickup, drive 9 miles to the tree farm and then go a couple of hundred yards into the woods and cut down the tree...... )

HEY! What is this Ya Ya surprise gift that everyone is talking about?? :confused3

;)

:rotfl2:

My exchange box is coming along nicely. I hope to have it in the mail on Tusday. I am just waiting to see if DH and DS have any luck on the opening day of deer season on Monday -- you know - bonus animal parts are always such a bnice addition to my Roadkill Packages!

:rotfl:

Lucky person that you are sending to, Pam :teeth:

We used to always cut down a tree......up the road ;) But the kids fought about it too much and what was a nice family outing, turned ugly
Then we cut two trees until one year Dave was gone for a few weeks, we did it ourselves and it kept falling over  Then came the artificial one.
I do think Christin is going to come up here to go cutting one for her apartment...so I might tag along. ...if the weather is nice. Too many years of pouring rain or snow and cold.

Safe travels to all the traveling Ya Ya's.

No Christmas tree or decorations here yet. I think we'll do it next Saturday.

I arrive at WDW on 11/30 and return home on 12/6.

We just got done putting up and decorating the Christmas tree and decorating the inside of the house. I do have to say our 6.5 foot cheapie prelit christmas tree looks actually pretty beautiful. I have my favorite decorations back on my tree as dh found them while we were going through the house previous to the inspection. I am SO happy to have them back!! I cant help but smile and get a really warm feeling when I look at the tree now. I have Sounds of the Seasons playing on the TV and it just feels nice around here. Now if I could get the kids to stop fighting with each other the day would be perfect.

:rotfl: Nice Pam :teeth:

I know my package will be sent out when I return... it probably will go out ON the 5th... mostly because I have one thing I plan to buy at WDW.
Not sure who is sending to me, but it might be wise to wait until late next week to send... just won't have people as close by to watch the packages as they arrive.

We haven't had a real tree in my family in... well who knows. My dad has allergies and truthfully the smell of real trees inside get to me after a while :( Plus with cats, fake is much easier to deal with :p

Speaking of trees, we'll put my dad's up today. At least one will go up this weekend :teeth:

Thanks John! I couldn't remember your departure day... just figured it was after mine.

I heard from the 'Bama Clan... they are on their way to Tampa...

I should check in one more time at least before I leave... but I need to shower and get ready for my dad's. If I am lucky I will get to PMs today... we'll see ;)

Elaine we decided on a fake tree for this year after last years fiasco with a real tree. The tree looked beautiful all through Christmas....nice and green and all so we kept the lights on. Well when we took it down we were appalled and shocked that we didnt have a fire. The tree had been SPRAYED green and the needles were as dry as a bone even though we watered it faithfully. After that we decided no more real trees. We got the tree we have now for 29.99 at Walmart the other night. Its prelit with 400 bulbs and looks beautiful with all the decorations on it. Dh says its the prettiest tree we have had in years. Dh found our table top Christmas tree in the crawl space and Ive decided to put that one on the dining room table.

Good evening everyone!

I finally have heat. Yes, I have been without heat since Tuesday, and they finally got us up and running again. It's been a long cold five days.

Of course, now that the heat is up and running, something else has to go wrong. My desktop computer is busted. I must have gotten another virus--I swear it's one of my cousins and all of the crap e-mails she sends me. This is the second time I've gotten a virus on my PC this year. I don't know what I'm going to do about it. I'm so ticked about it. I'm not going to deal with it until I get back from Florida--it took me days to get my computer running again last time, and I lost everything. This time, I may try to find someone to take a look at it for me--maybe I can salvage some stuff.

I never had a problem when I had dialup. I've had DSL less than a year, and had major issues twice. I can't even lot on to the thing now. Some component is missing.

At least I have my laptop.

The cranky but not cold anymore JellyrollsKaren

Karen I am so glad to hear you have heat again. I have been worried about you. Im so sorry you got yet another virus on your computer. I think I would be blocking my counsins emails if I were you. I have had DSL for quite a long time and have never gotten a virus. I dont open email though that has any form of attachment even if it is from someone I know. The only one I will open up is one from my dh from work and thats only after I call him and make sure there are no problems at the office.

I cant get over how pretty the tree looks especially at night. I am so glad I put it up today. It really has gotten me in the christmas spirit.

Well, I didn't stay home quite as much as I wanted to today, but at least I got my card replaced on my computer today.

Not sure I will check in or not before I leave... ride comes at 4:45 tomorrow.

So for those traveling to WDW, hope to see you soon! For those staying home, safe travels and I will see you when I return :)

:wave2:

Have a SAFE and WONDERFUL trip Elaine!!!! Give everyone a hug for me!!

HI everyone !!!

Karen - so glad that you heat has returned!! Sorry to hear of the computer woes.

Wishing safe travels to all those leaving soon.....

Brought Alyssa shopping today but didn't buy anything.....

Anyone want a piece of pie??? I have way too much pie left here.......

Trying to get into a Christmas shopping mood.....

Hi Ya Yas!

JRKaren, you hottie you! Glad you're back on. Sorry about the virus. I just got to Ted's 'puter yesterday and noticed he had 3 virus listings. Hope it didn't get to our other 'puters. (They seem ok, but I don't know if I could do anyting if they were not.)
:confused3

Paula, I've been meaning to say that I like your siggie pic. Cute. No pie for me thanks, I'm still devouring the Pumpkin pie crumble cake thing we made. Mmmm.

Once again I wish safe travels to our Mickey bound Ya Yas. Come back with stories of great times.

Fake tree is not up yet. Glad of that, I'm not in a hurry about it. Enjoyed a do nothing sort of day. Helped sister with some printing and visited with her, traded books. Watched a movie with Mom and DH, more laundry, posted up some pics, worked on some other pics...limited and easy day for no particular reason!

Evening, all!

Just got home a little while ago-ho, ho, ho! Ends up that I was supposed to get paid for the holiday this week. On paper, I've worked every day for a total of 56 hours! Woohoo, go me!

What this means is that I now have to work next Saturday, but that's okay, I'll still be headed over to the World on Monday and again on Friday and Saturday nights!

Kevin lost a tooth-literally. He came in to wake me up this morning to show me the gap and told me he couldn't find the tooth. I think he swallowed it in his sleep. He was pretty bummed about it.

Virus tactic: all my email addys are web based. Nothing downloads onto my computers unless I do it-prefer it that way.

Alan, I'm waving at I4, do ya see me!

Suzanne

:wave2: Woke up early so I decided to check my flight and say hi :) And it seems that the weather can't make up its mind for WDW... oh well... still mostly sunny and the rainy days are warm... not as bad when it's that way (instead of freezing cold & rainy)

Hope you all have a great week!!!!!

Oh and my virus tactic... Norton Internet Security! I also use adaware and spybot on my machine. Keeps me really clean! High speed is bad because you have more time to surf (loads quicker) so you can get into more bad stuff ;)

Anyway, I'll see y'all later!!!! Off to dry my hair now :)
