Back from choir... we have snow... hopefully it's stopped falling though because I think we had a couple of inches. Just don't feel like dealing with more than that ;)

ALAN, ALAN, ALAN, ALAN, ALAN!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Quick - is he that insane in RL, Elaine??? :confused3
Pam, if you only knew... yes, he is that insane in RL and even worse!!! I swear some of his jokes were so bad you had to laugh. Very goofy kind of guy really (but oh so much fun!)

Speaking of which, sweetiepie Alan... *Lainey begins to drum her fingers on her desk in an aggravated sort of way* will you ever behave???

Karen take care of yourself! Been there with the back so I can feel for you!

Elaine,
Alan and I would probably be Best Buds in RL then, huh??? :rotfl2:

It is snowing like crazy here - supposed to snow all night with at least 3-5 inches, and then flurries all day tomorrow.

DS is hoping for just a school delay and not a cancellation - because if they have not used any snow days before Christmas, they get Dec. 23rd off.

Alan!?.. :rotfl2:

Nasty weather outside..Car accidents everywhere on the way home... :confused3

Morning all! Trying to get myself out of bed so I can shovel the driveway. I'll have to get it done sometime since I have to take Cleo in at 10:30

Pam, I am sure you and Alan would get along wonderfully :teeth:
Did y'all have school today? Even with our 4-5" of snow we're open... though outside of Columbus, most are closed.

Todd, hope y'all stay safe there too. Amazingly there were few accidents around here.

I suppose I should get moving... catch y'all later!

Good Snowy Morning all....

It started snowing here at about 6:30.....I woke Chris for school - told him that since it was snowing and his dad had already left he'd have to walk.....came downstairs -put the TV on and saw the no-school announcement.....ran back upstairs and told him before he even got out of bed.....life is good!!!!!!!

I read all the posts last night but just too tired to type - hahaha. Long but very productive shopping day.
Went to Strawberries, Yankee Candle, Bath and Body, American Eagle, Kohls and Michaels.
List is looking better.....budget however.....out the window as usual - hahha.
One more trip to Walmart and Best Buy next week and I should be done.

Tara.....I looked at all of your pics...I know I'm not supposed to play favorites but.....Ethan is just too cute......I wish I had a scanner....I would sent you some baby pics of Christopher - they look so alike - brought tears to my eyes.

Alan....nice ketchup there.....

Elaine - be careful shovelling.....

Pam....I have no comeback for those backyard walks - hahahahaha

Karen...gentle hugs for a quick healing to your back...

Nancy - did I mention...no nuts in my fudge please......

Hugs all around...keep warm - stay safe in the snow.....

More later.....

Elaine - we had a 2 hour school delay - DS left about 15 mintues ago, drove the Mustang in. The main roads looked pretty much clear, our side road was bad. I told him to call me when he got to school - of course he hasn't done that.

Paula - Christmas budget, what's that?? :confused3 I don't even tally up the receipts any more! :rotfl:

Todd - I saw that your area got hit hard with freezing rain and snow. :guilty:

Hmmmmm..... I always pegged Alan as the nutty type! :teeth:

I'll eat pecans and pistachios (Mrs. AA enjoys boiled peanuts), but I want my brownies and other desserts unadulterated.

Spoken like a true Baptist boy!! :)

Good morning.

Stay safe all those dealing with snow and ice.

More non-nutty fudge types? have to battle Elaine on that. She is the delivery person.

Christmas budget....I start with one. Get everything done and then buy extras. One of the drawbacks of starting ...and finishing early

I think the crazy work days for Dave will slow down after today. I have only seen him since he has been back for about 10 minutes.
He got home at 10 last night, out the door at 6:30 again this morning....but the show/classes/whatever they are doing is over at 3 today.

Grocery shopping and cookie baking today.

Oh....Christin's car was broken into....again  I swear that car has been bad luck for her. This is the 5th time it has been broken into. This time they broke the steering column so it isn't driveable :(
I can remember the days when she was supposed to call in when she returned to Pullman over that awful pass....and she would forget  Only a couple of times of that and she was told if she couldn't remember, it would be back on the bus for her.

I started to say I prefer eunuch brownies, but this is the DIS after all :)

Wow, something really got into Alan. He's worse than usual!

And if I am delivering all the fudge to everyone, who thinks there will be any nutless left by the time I hit Alabama? ;)

Paula, I hope Chris can enjoy the day off! Sorry about your budget though... I actually went under this year due to some sales I found!

Pam, I do hope that your DS has a safe drive. Most of the main roads here are clear too... but sadly the ones where I drive to the vet are untouched. It actually won't be too bad though if not many have driven on it... untouched snow is pretty easy to deal with.

Acutally it was funny driving back from choir last night. Luis was driving and kind of freaking out, so we had a little lesson in why certain things happen in cars while driving in snow. He actually took it well (woo hoo) and learned a bit about everything. He's still scared to death to drive in it though :(

Nancy  I am so sorry her car was broken into again!!! Other than the column, did anything else get damaged or taken?

I need to fly now... Cleo's vet appt is in 20 minutes and I need to leave in 10. I'll see y'all later!

No.....her lock was already broken from last time.
Her CD player was already gone from the time before that, along with all her CDs.
I don't think there was anything left to take.....since it was the column, they were probably trying to take the car :(

I need to get going too.
Have a nice day all.....I'm with Luis. Hate, hate, hate driving in snow....but it is different around here. Usually wet and slick and limited snow removal equipment.

Hi all, back from the vet. She gained a couple more ounces (fortunately not much more or I might be in trouble) She'll have bloodwork and I will hear the final result hopefully tomorrow.
But she looked good and the vet looked very happy!

Nancy, I didn't realize she didn't replace the radio. Some people though  I am sorry though. That kind of stuff just makes me mad!

As for Luis driving, he is mostly scared of it. He just lacks confidence in driving in snow and after some mishaps before, he just can't shake it. I didn't realize how bad he got :( I suppose I got lucky, I was thrown to the lions (so to speak) when it came to bad weather. If I didn't drive, no one went anywhere while my dad was out of town. I learned quick ;)

Whoa! :earseek: Does this mean all the nuts are gonna be in Alabama?

JRKaren, are ya warm yet?

Nancy, so sorry about Cristin's car stories.

Karen, hope you feel better soon.

Very cold here, but not too bad driving. Our turn will come.

Cold and more snow here. School wasn't closed, though, much to my boy's disappointment. :teeth:

I'm with Luis and driving in the snow. I will not drive in it at all.

Great pics, Elaine.

Nancy, sorry to hear about Christin's car. :(

Gonna go check out Tara's pics.

Finally have a moment to post.

I wish we had snow!! All we got was rain and cold air. yuck! The sun is out now but the wind chill has it in the low 30's. And I forgot to put the lining in my rain coat, so it is a little chilly.

Nancy, sorry about Christin's car. Is it b/c of the neighborhood she lives in or does she have a car they just can't help but try and steal?

Going to try and get a little work done and then head to the gym and then home for dinner.

I'll try and stop in later. But i have to dig out all the Christmas decorations and make sure the lights I'm putting up on the outside of the house tomorrow will be working!

take care,
tara

:confused2 First 3 times was in Pullman while she was in college. Twice in dorms, once in apartment.
Next 2 times over here. Once at school, once at the apartment. :(

Don't think I like the new signature guidelines....everything is so small and I had to give up so much :(
Looks like some of you need to make changes to yours too :(

quick hi... kind of skimming right now... bad headache and laptop was giving me trouble this afternoon.

I sure didn't expect to be this bad off this afternoon, but I will be going to sleep for the night soon I think.

Nancy, glad you said something. Otherwise I would've missed it about the sigs. I need to check a pic I am hosting for someone else I think

I'll catch up tomorrow with everything... just feeling too yuck to do much.

Treacherous driving here, too. We got about 3 inches of the white stuff last night, but I don't get to show off my driving skills. At work last night, I twisted the same knee I hurt at WDW last week and this time I really did a number on it. Can't drive my stick shift and I am learning to walk with crutches for the first time. So far, they've found osteoarthritis and a Baker's cyst on the back of my knee. Going for an MRI as soon as my insurance approves it. Happily, I can just sit on a stool by the cash register and still work. Hey, somebody needs to be answering the phone all the time! But I get out of the "heavy labor" for awhile :teeth:

REALLY enjoying all the pictures! Dave has been working on ours, too. Will post a link as soon as he gives it to me.

Meds make me loopy, so I'll go before I bruise my forehead! and :grouphug:
