...Kimmar, gotta read your other trip reports this morning. I havea hard-headed husband and 4 hard-headed sons. :rolleyes1...

...so then, you can TOTALLY relate..... ;)

Julian did much better this morning. A small bit of panic set in, but it was much better than yesterday. And, no phone calls today, so far. And, his teacher just emailed me and said he was smiling and doing fine in class. :woohoo: Such a relief. I promised him chocolate chip cookies after school today if he didn't call, so looks like I'll be baking in a few hours. :yay:

Thanks all for listening to me and supporting me. :grouphug:

Elaine, hope packing goes well. How long will you be gone?

Howdy, sitting at the dealer-again! This time, the gas tank float still shows full after I've driven 225 miles. While I'd love it if they had replaced it with an ever full model, I doubt they exist! :teeth:

Sherry, good deal you made there. Some cookies for a kid to stay in school. I like that one!

Lainey, get packing, girl! Enjoy the trip.

Kimmar, suppose I need to read that TR, don't I? I want more pictures.

As for the uniform, khaki is NOT my color. Suppose I'd better take the boys to all those events where they get patches, so I can get a spiffy red vest to put them on.

Bethie, with you on the no internet woes. I'll spare everyone the gory details, but I was hijacking bandwidth for a day while Verizon got it worked out. Have fun tomorrow!

Alan, I want those non tying shoes!

The time here at the dealer has been productive. I've made playlists for my ipod, woohoo. And gotten my blood pressure up at self professed experts on my kid's ADHD-apparently it's because I've got health issues.

Suzanne

Ignore the idiots Suzanne (well, except for me of course!)

Sherry, I'm so glad to hear that he didn't fight you as badly today. I'm sure he will fall into routine after a few days.
But if I promise not to call you, can I have a cookie too? :)

Good morning y'all!
(Technically it is still morning here for a few more minutes)

...I'll take mine a little bit undercooked, so that they are chewy..... :teeth:

...the more I think about it, the funnier it all seems...but it sure wasn't funny AT THE TIME..... :teeth:

I'm thinking your hubby and the boys should have been sitting in the windows (yes, they would need to be rolled down :) ) and leaning over the roof to hold everything together.

..... :rotfl:

Well, the other thought was to strap DH to the hood like bagged game and then stap everything down without his assistance.

But I thought I'd go for the polite option.

This is starting to sound like Pam's territory!

Hi y'all! Had internet troubles nad the DIS is now being "stupid" for me. Taking forever for everything to load.

Kimmar, thanks for htat link! I will try to read those soon. Hopefully tonight or tomorrow when I am relaxing some. I'm very interested after hearing the others' comments!!!

Sherry, so glad that today was better! I hope he enjoyed his cookies too! If you have any left over, send some my way ;)

Suzanne, yuck on being at the dealer yet again! We had a car that did something like that... always showed 1/4 tank ;) Kind of bad when you forgot to reset how many miles you've driven :p

I am mostly packed now. Luis will have to do his bit tonight. To answer a bunch in one ;) Yep, we will be in Kimmar's neck of the woods. Mostly S. NJ and one day in NYC. Well reality I'll sleep in S. Jersey and then do little day trips in the area. Nothing too big, but should be great to spend time with my brother. I think we decided to bring only one camera and one laptop. So I might check in, but don't count on too much from me. I'll leave tomorrow evening and return Monday night. So just gone for the long weekend!

Anyone else have any good plans for Labor Day?

*picture a tired, sorry looking, sack dragging her backside(with 2 hands of course :teeth: ) to the computer...finally ending her day! oh wait it's not over...there is still Jarrod's open house to attend in about an hour. I'm tired, my head hurts and all I really want to do is go to bed! :(

I have read....Alan has bunny slippers for me (I would love to be wearing those right now along with my sweatpants and a t-****) and is the only idiot to not be ignored and is currently awaiting cookies from Sherry. Who by the way had a successful school day with her being the only one crying. Good job mom you made it!! Oh and I'll take some cookies also please!! Kimmar is posting pics somewhere of her dh being stuck on the hood of her car to hold luggage (why am I picturing NL Vacation and the dead grandma? :confused3 ). Kimmar also prefers her chocolate chip cookies chewy and hasn't complained about school so I'm thinking the turkey hasn't gone back to work yet! Elaine apparently forgot what day it was and that she was going out of town and now has to run around and get everything she needs for the trip (Jersey apparently doesn't sell anything she may have forgotten!!! :rotfl: ) Suzanne has found that she screwed up as a mother and it's her fault her children are different....can't wait to find out how badly my children are scrwed up because I bet they are way worse than hers!! Suzanne is also a turn on in a boy scout uniform as long as it matches her handbag and thinks she is only on a committee because what they don't tell you until you get there the first time that you are now the den master! may the force be with you!!!!! Beth has to watch where she puts her toes so as not to disconnect her internet and then have to complain to her hubby about who iin turn has to walk her through it. From there she goes and counts money and then goes and plays with stickers and scissors and other like minded loons who feel the need to take perfectly good pictures and turn them into works of art. Karen has decided that she likes owning a home even thos she will have no money to do anything fun with it. Guess she will have to stay home and dis with us poor folks who don't have lives.

Pam is out hunting large game and will be back just as soon as all her kills are safely skinned, tanned, and the meat cured. She will then hunt down the road kill for her cafe and can her some skunk stew, squirral succotash, and rabbit pie.

I heard that Paula got into a fight with her computer and wrestled it to the ground. Unfortunately the computer won and she is currently tied up by it and is trying to figure out a way to break loose from it! May the force be with her.

Nancy has gotten over the whole painting and redecorating bug and has decided to tear down the house and rebuild it. She did however leave that great scrapping room so she could scrap her adventures. I also believe that Nancy has started a home building exchange and is awaiting the arrival of the perfect kitchen set.

Okay, i'm gonna go get ready for this open house!
Oh, my open house....got one kid who just came out of a residential program for severe behaviors, one who is ADHD/ODD/BIPOLAR and has been violent in the past, then there was the one who was adorable but he felt the need to comment on everything I said while I was speaking. We did have a couple of girls and I didn't notice that any were nose pickers like the one was last year. My room is dressed but I have no lesson plans, I haven't figured out lockers, I don't have text books, and generally plan to be at school until 7 or 8 tomorrow night and then work on the 10...count them 10...IEPs that I have to modify or write between now and Monday Sept. 18th! :faint:

gotta run and go do the fun stuff!!

hugs to all!1

Page 3 again! Quiet night.

Elaine, have a great trip!!

Tara, :worship: great ketchup!

We have cookies left for whoever wants one. :teeth: Julian was happy to have them. He told me before heading upstairs "no phone calls tomorrow. I want more cookies." :teeth: :yay:

Gonna head up to bed in a bit.......goodnight all.

Oye.....I just can't wait to see what tomorrow has in store for me!!! NOT!!!!! Today was another winner.....got to sleep in a bit cuz I wasn't due at work until 2. So, I got some laundry started, ran the dishwasher, puttered around a bit and then got my shower. I was barely dressed when the phone rang--it was our corporate office calling me at home to find out who was supposed to open the store this morning! Cuz it was almost 11:30am and nobody was there to open up!! So, I did a quick blow-dry on my hair, skipped the makeup and flew out the door. Turns out the store manager's car broke down on the way to work and she didn't have anybody's phone number programmed into her cell! She tried calling information, but since she didn't know my address, they gave her the phone number for some other Harris!! She beat me to the store by about 5 minutes. So, I get to take off a couple hours early on Saturday, to make up for the extra hours today--whooo hooo!

I am totally pooped, so I'm gonna ride on Tara's ketchup. Dave is home safe and sound, so maybe I'll get a better night's sleep now. Good night all! :grouphug:

Beth feel free to use my ketchup....however, i did realize that i forgot to mention how Lily is wogging her way until her retirment day...2?? days left!

And Kimmie must have been swallowed up by her car pooling and homeschool stuff.

Back from the Open House. It was great but Jarrod showed his anxiety very clearly (what I thought was autism last year). He was fine for the first few minutes of the visit with the teachers but once we had more people in the room and it got noisier he got skittish and went to hide under the teacher's easel! :rotfl: I called him out of there to come sit with me, instead he got his jacket, laid on the rug in front of all the people (the people were in the back of the room and this was the only open space he could find) and covered himself with his rain coat so he couldn't see the people. Then the best one, by far, was when he was sitting on my lap and he was fidgeting but I was looking at the teacher so I wasn't paying any attention to him...he got my attention and told me "hey mom, my head won't fit in my desk"! :rotfl: I couldn't believe that he had actually tried to put his head inside his desk to get away from the people! :rotfl: So now you know...if you have an open slotted desk and you get tired of the noise and the people...just stick your head in your desk!!!

Going to bed now...have an 8am breakfast, 830 meeting to discuss the first five days of school, a 945 to 12 computer training, AND then we finally get to work in our rooms the remainder of the day! oh joy

till tomorrow evening!!
