The economy and the lack of international tourists are playing a factor as to why there are fewer flight options.I had been watching the flights home from MCO to BDL in September and one of the flights I was watching just disappeared off the search (It left somewhere around 5pm). There is now currently only one non-stop to BDL that day and it won't work for me because it leaves at 8am and I will be getting off a cruise. Southwest has one non-stop that day at 10:30am that day which is also too early.
Weirdly there are very few options that day on other airlines and even then they leave too early. I think I'm looking at having to book another night stay and go home the next day which seems crazy to me.
Is September just a weird time to fly? I've always had plenty of options for flights home.
That being said, this is another reason why I will NOT ever consider flying back directly after I debark a Disney Cruise, opting instead to spend a few days in the parks.
