OMG, what a night.

Three of the boys (Jared went to the football game with a friend) went over a friend's house, around the corner. About 20 minutes later, Julian calls, tells me to get over there fast, the neighbor's (of the friend) called the cops, and Jordan is involved. So, I head over, and what happens? I end up tripping (there is construction going on around the circle) over a part of the Road Closed Sign and fell right in the street. Have 2 gashes on my hand, a HUGE bruise on my leg, and a small bruise on my knee, and I scratched my cell phone up pretty good. Grrr!!
The friend's neighbor called the cops cuz the kids were playing with the construction barrels. Seems he decided to get up in Jordan's face and yell at him and then called the cops. It was all stupid and the cop was a smart-*$$. Always something exciting around here.

Whoa! I'm the first up, and I even slept in.

Rainy, cool day here. Blech! DH and I have a trip to Wal-mart and Sam's, then we are going to pick up some wings from Ponderosa and watch the OSU game.
BIL & SIL *might* be stopping by, but SIL has to work till 3 (game starts at 3:30) and really doesn't care about football.

Morning, all! We are still pretty soggy around here, thanks to Ernesto, but expect to dry out as the day goes on. Luckily, we are much further inland, and although we had some flooded creeks and the like, it was nothing like Tara's area or along the Potomac River close to DC. Hope Laine and Luis are OK on their trip. I've seen some pretty nasty reports on the news concerning NJ and NYC. How are things for you, kimmar? And Paula, too! You haven't been washed away, have you?

Spent a lovely day with my sweetie yesterday. We slept in like lazy slugs, although I slept in MUCH later We did our dinner prep session, (got pretty wet packing it into the car), thoroughly enjoyed the Beef Filets with Mushroom Roquefort Sauce for dinner, then finished up the laundry while watching the Star Gate SG1 marathon on Sci Fi. I'm working today and tomorrow, then off on Monday, so we we're looking forward to another whole day together! I think we'll be going to a movie.

Sherry!! What a scare that phone call must have been!! And then to fall like that in your rush to get over there! Hope you aren't too stiff and sore today. How's that hand? Hope everything heals quickly for ya. Tsk, Tsk, I'm so sorry the neighbor felt it necessary to get the police involved. And for the cop to be such a turkey too. Boys will be boys--was what they were doing soooo bad? I bet it was just noisy and the neighbor ASSUMED destructive behavior and vandalism. Sheesh!!!

Tara, sorry you got up early for nothing yesterday. I'm so glad you're safe, though! Didn't like the reports of flooding and trees/wires down, etc, I was seeing on the news. Sorry to hear of the passing of your bowling league member, too.

Ah, Lily!! Good to hear from you again!! I missed what the cheese was about, but I think I figgered it out. It was a fundraiser....when you went back, the "cheese was still cheesing", so I think it must have been heating or being kept warm? Like maybe your fundraiser involved selling nachos and cheese?? Am I close?! So good of you to go back when you were already worn out from the day. Hope today is a super success and I'm so glad you'll be able to just go home when it's over, since you won't have the key, this time.

Happy belated Anniversary to Suzanne and Ed!!! Hope you had a nice little celebration to mark the occasion. Now what's this about Seacaucus smelling?? LOL!!!!

Sherry that is scary. Hope you feel better and that you are not in too much pain! (I thought of you this morning when i put on my 'round the house socks that I fell in the other day. since you said you fell the other day and I didn't want you to feel alone in the falling thing so I admitted my "skiing" injury!) However, seeing as how you have done it again....I'm going straight to take my socks off so I don't have any more skiing accidents!! Don't want to keep up with the Sherry's this weekend!! hehehe

Kids are up and screaming this morning. I think I might be coming down with Ethan's cold. I have a sore throat and generally feel yucky! It couldn't have anything to do with getting no sleep this week!!!!

Going to try and get some work done on my ieps this morning. So I'll be on the computer and will check back in later!!

Morning!

I have been so sore. This sucks. Hand is OK, just 2 small cuts, but they hurt, cuz they are on the bottom part of my palm, so I always hit them.
Some of the soreness, though, is also from attempting to ride Julian's bike Friday evening.

Beth, the kids were playing with construction barrels that are set up. Now, I'm not condoning what they did, they know better than to mess with city property, BUT, the old man getting in Jordan's face screaming at him.......THAT is what had me really ticked off. And then the cop was a jerk, so that made it worse.

Alan, congrats on 7K!!

Tara, I don't blame ya for not wanting to keep up with me. I've become very clumsy lately. Hope your not getting a cold.

After church we might go to the Milan Melon Festival. Depends on if it rains or not. I really don't want to get stuck in the rain. It poured all day yesterday.

Beth, you got it! Sorry Ya Yas! I don't always manage my communication very well. Our fundraiser is operating the concession stand at the local soccer games where all donations will go to American Cancer Society Relay for Life. The folks I work with have been fundraising for the event and we are entering our fourth year. Each year we have tried something different. Concession stand is new.


Alan, great that you could check in quickly, and congrats on your mothiness!

Tara, sorry to hear about your bowling league friend. Hope you get through all that paper work you’ve got going there. Stay healthy. School germies are going to be exchanged with the start of the season and you’ve gotta stay ahead…you’re the Mom and Teach. Get that chicken soup going.

Last night at the stand was a lot better than I would have expected in sales. Ernesto remnants stuck with us for most of the evening. Big seller was hot chocolate or coffee and if we had blankets I’m sure they would have sold too! DH is making ribs on the barbie for today. I don’t know what else we’ve got going.
