LOL, I do that with my car still... as I was visiting friends in Sandusky last week, my car rolled over to 20,000 miles. Only three years old too

went bowling then got the kids and went to my school to work for a bit and then stopped by McD for dinner and took the kids to the park to play on the toys. They've both had their baths now and are having a night time snack. I'm figuring to have them both in bed in about an hour!! yippee! then I can go to bed! Gotta hit the class again tomorrow to get some more stuff done.

sherry was domesticated today and went to germany to get a cake and now will deliver to John who, conincidentally, prefers to put miles on own ride and has decided to only stop in to visit us trivial folks.

Took a spill coming into the kitchen from the garage. Slid and fell and my back hit right on the corner of the wall/door.

Lunches are made, backpacks are packed, and as soon as this last load gets into the dryer, I'm heading to bed.

Morning!

First day of school today. Man, I really got used to sleeping in.........this sucks.

Tara, not sore, thankfully. Have a killer headache, though.

Good morning everyone! Signed off early last night for no good reason.

Actually I was kind of annoyed last night.

Luis' grandmother died on Monday. Luis' brother called us last night wondering if we had his mom's cell phone (she is currently in PR). That's how we found out. His brother then accused me of not bothering to tell Luis since Luis hadn't heard of it. Well that would only work if his family bothered to call.

His mom called an hour or so after that, I am assuming only after Luis' brother had called her. I'm mad and hurt that Luis gets treated like that by his family. He's at the point when he really talks to them next, he will ask if they want him to show up for Thanksgiving. Since about his 2nd year of school, they've had less and less to do with him. I just cannot believe a mother would treat her own son the way she does.

He's hurt that they won't give me the time of day as well. That part I don't care about as much, but only that it hurts him. I just have no idea how any parent can be so insensitive and uncaring but try to blame the bad relationship on Luis since he doesn't call weekly like he used to.

I suppose if they hadn't verbally trashed our house and stopped really listening to him on the phone, he would want to call more.

Grrr... some people have no idea what it takes to be a family! It goes *BOTH* ways and he haven't done squat since he left for school.

Heading back to bed for another couple of hours of sleep, but I had to drop the boys off.

Elaine, I'm so sorry for the passing of Luis' grandmother and the insensitive family. Was his GM in PR? Will he go there for the funeral? I can relate to insensitive family members, but mine are not that bad.

TC, very cool pictures. That bike was bigger than you when you were 7!

Sherry, I'm with you. Getting up early bites. Especially when you're wound up from work and don't go to sleep until 2am! I think when your youngest is in middle school, it should be every man fend for himself!

Gay cabana boys? Well, at least they'd decorate the cabana nice! Something about the massages with no strings attached sounds pretty good to me!

Tara, Good luck with getting the school stuff set up. One of my employees spent about 50 hours on her room-and then last week they told her they were moving her to a portable!

I'm pretty sure the funeral was either yesterday or today, so no, Luis will not be going. Kind of hard to when they don't tell you even when it is Though truthfully, given flights to PR (cost) I don't think either of the state side grandchildren would have been expected. His mom will be returning Saturday to DC area. I forgot to ask if Luis' dad went or not too. So yes, his GM was in PR... I can't recall but I believe she was still living in the SW corner near Mayagüez. I'm pretty sure that side of the family still lives there.

I did get my morning run in after finishing up the plaster patching, and soon I'll do some stomach stuff and hit the shower before heading to my eye doc appt.

Boys are all off. Only 1 bus was late, so that was good. Julian's bus came a different way this year, so his was a close call.
