Elaine...sorry to hear about Luis' gm. That sucks that his family is like that. I can't imagine giving up my sons like that! (although...I might go for it this morning  )

Suzanne... 50 hours and then have to move....I'd kill somene and then refuse to move my stuff!!! I found out yesterday that some of the stuff I moved out has come back to my room. They weren't supposed to go with the person I thought. So now i have to store more stuff. I'm going to be asking the powers that be to let me box some of this crap up and send it to the warehouse! (then it will never be seen or heard from again!! :teeth: )

Alan...glad all the critters are getting along well. Are the kids enjoying their new school?

Sherry...speaking of school...man getting 4 kids on to buses in the morning must be a nightmare! I'm dreading just one right now!!

Kimmar...howdy! you better watch out or elaine's gonna come after you to get her boys back!!!

back later!

...well I'VE got the soap bar and I'm NOT afraid to use it.....they been known to put eyes out..... :rolleyes1

Kimmar, touch the guy and you get hurt. Remember I do wrestle... I don't share cabana boys... ever :p

Sherry, glad you got the boys off okay. I'm sure that is nerve wracking to do again. I was out running this morning and saw some kids and their moms waiting on the buses :)

Wow, I think Tara likes me! Standing up for me :teeth:

no slobbering I swear ;)

Got back from my eye doc. New contacts are toast so we are back to the older ones for me. My eyes just deposited too much protein nad couldn't keep them clear. Good thing is these are much cheaper!!!

Going to lunch with Luis, and then will clean up the house.

Elaine - Sorry to hear about Luis' GM as well. Families can be so mean to each other. We had a similar situation when Sue's aunt passed away. She found out about her passing and called the local funeral home only to find that the memorial service was happening at that moment. I guess that because Sue wasn't a blood relative, that they didn't feel that it was important to let her know.

And I had a similar problem with contact lenses that you described. I finally gave up and went back to glasses fulltime.

Sherry - I'm still waiting for that cake. :moped:

Hi Ya Yas!
Sorry I've been out of touch these couple.

JRKaren, been thinking of you getting all that moving stuff. Glad you were able to come up for air for a bit at least.

Kimmar, love love those pics you put up and that movie. I can't wait to see the real thing in Oct! Glad yor trip was stellar!

Oh, Tara, good ketchup. Thanks. Hope they let you box up then. Sorry about the Jar/Dad thing.

Suzanne, I hope all went ok at SS.

Sherry, Ouch. Cake, Mmmmmm!

Elaine, so sorry about Luis' GM. The family thing--sorry about all that too. How's that go, we can't pick our families but we can sure pick our friends. You have a great circle of friends, and families are what they are sometimes.

TC, love your pics project. What a rewarding thing. Hope you aren't missing too much of the finally nicer weather. Yankee Peddler soon too!
:dance3:
Alan, glad to hear the critters are managing.

Had a day off Tuesday for house repair things I had to baby sit. Took Mom to breakfast first though. We enjoyed that. Stopped at the doc office to see what arrangement can be made on my meds. Stil working on that one. Managing to get in my exercise time this week as I should. I'm glad of that. Those pounds I found everyone else was losing are starting to melt.
:yay: :yay:

Hi folks! Just back from bookkeeping--enjoyed sleeping in this morning and will again tomorrow before I work the late shift at the store. Been enoying the beautiful weather the last couple of days, too, since the humidity went down a bit.

TC, really enjoyed those pix from your youth. Reminded me of some of mine, so I finally got up the energy to search 'em out.

kimmar, so kind of you to offer to bathe those filthy creatures!! :rotfl: Loved the video and can't wait to see the "production" in person.

OUCH!! Sherry, so sorry to hear about your fall!! Hope your head is feeling better now too. Getting back to the old routine, now, huh? So how did everybody's first day back go? And were you able to sneak in a little nap before they all got home?

Oh, Tara!! Not you, too? I think you've had more than your share of injuries this summer! Sounds like you just might be safer back at school! Hope you are feeling better and are able to get everything sorted out with the boxes, stuff, and storage. You are working a new position, this year, aren't you? Getting excited about it?? :teeth:

Elaine, what a PITA of a way to find out about Luis' GM! I'm so sorry you both have to deal with family like that. Glad it worked out that you can go back to the cheaper contacts, too. Any savings is good--especially with a WDW trip coming soon!!

Hey, Suzanne! Booked my next session and ordered 2 of both the berry cobbler and the pretzel crusted chicken. :thumbsup2 Please tell me that the beef filets in mushroom roquefort sauce is good, cuz I ordered 2 of those, too! We ran out of the prepared stuff in the freezer and Dave was complaining there was nothing in the house to eat!! LOL!! Methinks he's forgotten how to cook already, cuz there's stuff in the freezer, it's just not in little foil pans with directions on top!!

Alan, it's good to hear that Mickey has been accepted by the 4-legged members of the family. And to echo one of the other sistahs--how are the girls liking their new school?

Whew!! I was afraid you got buried when the boss came back, Lily! Glad you were able to get a day off, even if it was to babysit the repair work. Hope the meds get worked out and you get some relief there. Nice to have breakfast with Mom--where did you go? (I've been hung up on IHOP and their stuffed french toast, lately  )And good for you starting to melt those pounds!!

The 12-year old nephew of our pastor could use some prayers, if ya'll could find a minute. He and his family have been visiting from Florida and he had a terrible accident over the weekend. Out on his rollerblades, decided it would be cool to skate down a rather steep driveway--picked up so much speed, he couldn't stop, literally "flew" across a street and plowed smack into the front of a house. Shattered his femur in 7 places and spent most of Sat. night in surgery. Got an update last night and they still don't know yet if he's damaged the growth plates, but the poor kid is in terrible pain and screams every time they try to even help him sit up. He won't let his mother leave him, either, so she's been at the hospital round the clock since Saturday. He won't be allowed to go home until he can use a wheelchair and even then, he will be out of school for a minimum of 3 months.

Looks like it's about time to change the laundry loads and get dinner started. Hope everyone has a great evening! Mad, mad love and :grouphug:

Popping in for a quick "Howdy Do" before the evening begins.

Bethie, prayers for that poor little guy. Ouch doesn't even begin to describe it! The beef filets are really good-I'm allergic to bleu cheese, so I've had them without the sauce. Between Ed and I, we made 4-does that tell you something? :rotfl: The pretzel chicken-make it in nuggets!

Lainey, that is so awful. Please let Luis know we're thinking of him. Good that you can still wear contacts-and cheaper, too.

Sherry, didya get that nap?

Alan, no masks on my masseuses, but usually a massage means more than just a massage, lol! That's why I've got one of those big honkin percussive massagers.

Tara, they haven't made her move-yet. She's the nice one who does whatever's asked of her, but this time she will pull the seniority card. Is that warehouse where they stored the Ark? :lmao:

Kimmar, watch it with that soap. If you drop it, you may suffer the fate of many a klutzy yaya and injure yourself!

Lily, yay, the boss is back and you could take the day off to babysit repairmen! Was breakfast with Mom good?

So I went back to bed. I woke up at 11:25 and needed to be at the Chamber at noon! Yikes! No time to iron, so I grabbed a pair of pants out of the closet that had been hanging there, taunting me with the price tag still on them. They fit!! :dance3: Nothing better than walking in to a meeting with brand new, one size smaller pants on! Then when I got to work, my assistant noticed that I'd lost weight! Woohoo!

Time to get working...

Suzanne

...I'll take my chances..... :rolleyes1 ....besides, I could always make one of THEM bend over and git it......

Not while Suzanne is running around with that big ol' massager, they won't!

Congrats on the noticed weight loss Suzanne. :thumbsup2

Beth, I am sorry to hear about the young man's accident and hope he recovers quickly.

The girls are enjoying their new school. The school day ends at 1:30 but they stay until 3:30 on Tuesday and Thursday for elective classes such as PE, art, and choir.

Y'all have a great evening and please try not to hurt yourselves!

I'm exhausted. Between running around this morning, having to get a few more last minute school supplies, making dinner and cleaning up, I'm pooped. :faint:
And, no, to those that asked, I never did get a nap. Methinks I'll be hitting the bed early tonight. ::yes::

I also spoke too soon about not being sore from my fall. :rolleyes1 I have a bruise on my back and it hurts like heck whenever I sit back. :rolleyes1

Beth, all the boys had good first day's. :) Ouch about the pastor's nephew. He'll be in my prayers.

Suzanne, yay for the assistant noticing the weight loss. :woohoo:

Lily, sounds like a good day off. Where'd you go for b-fast? Except for the rain today, its been great weather.

Elaine, glad to hear you can still wear contacts, and that they are cheaper. :yay:

John, oops, been to busy to get that cake to you. I'll have to UPS it. :teeth:

Tara, only 2 ride the bus. They got rid of the HS bussing when the levy failed. :furious: I have writer's cramp from filling out all the paperwork the boys brought home. I hate that part!!

Alan, glad to hear the girls are enjoying the new school. :)

Gonna hit the shower and then relax and watch some TV for a bit.

...only cold water left....me and the cabana boys used up all the hot water.... :teeth:

Cold water will do! :teeth:

Here is an uninvited guest at Jonathan's party. :teeth:

quick pop in, gotta head to bed so I can work tomorrow...

yep the ark is there...along with a few critters that didn't make it out (those are the ones that are now extinct!

yep new job this year. i hope I like it. I'll be teaching science and english to students with emotional disturbances and learning disabilities!!

yep probably safer at work than at home...but at work I tend to stand on rolly chairs to get things out of cabinets! :teeth:

tomorrow is 8 hours of lesson planning, strategy making, and general bs. should be fun!

going to bed now!!
tara

(oh and good thoughts to the little boy with the broken leg!)

Morning!!

Not going anywhere today, other than taking the boys to and from school. Feel like staying home. :teeth:

Gonna start roundin' up the troops!

Morning all! Luis is off to Cleveland today to do a conversion of some sort. He has to do testing tonight, the conversion tomorrow and more testing on Sunday. He did sucker someone from Columbus to go help him tomorrow. Yeah I could've gone, but he figured I'd be bored and Cleveland is not a fun place to visit for me ;)

John, that is rotten that Sue didn't get called either! Some people have no sense of what is right in the world I guess.

As for the contacts. My current pair do not do that to me. We switched since I have some dry eyes. I guess the more water based they are, the better for me. These new ones with "hydraclear" and have half the water content just don't cut it. Was fun to try new ones out though.

Lily, you are so right! I have a great circle of friends and I do have good family with part of mine. I just hoped that Luis' family would be better than my dad's was so we could have a larger family to work with. Oh well. Good luck getting the meds all straightened out

Bethie, hope you got to enjoy another day fo sleeping in! I'm so jealous of you though. We don't have an IHOP near by us at all :( I will keep the boy in my prayers though. That sounds so terrible!!!

Woo hoo on the weight loss, Suzanne! I have noticed that wearin a new size really does show off the new figure more! Enjoy wearing those pants!

Early day for the girls there, Alan! Though that is interesting how they do the electives. I suppose that really makes it no difference than what we had in school :)

Sherry, I do hope that your back feels better soon. Yuck on that! I hope you got a good nights rest last night!
That pic is adorable, though! How cute is that!

Tara, good luck getting ready for school

I have lots of sanding to do today here... I hope to have the room painted and put back by the time Luis gets home!

Morning, all!

Just a quick drive by. When I walked in the door at work yesterday, my reservations looked like a nice, EASY morning. In the course of 4 hours, it went to fully booked and I called in some more employees. I'm heading in early to get it all ready. Krispy Krack better have a nice vat of coffee, because I'm gonna need it!

Yes, knowing something is smaller than what you were wearing is really good. :teeth: I haven't changed anything but what I eat. We hardly eat out-we just eat the food from work. Trust me, that's better than a lot of the stuff we'd eat out!

Lainey, trying new contacts is fun? Dunno about that one. Although my only experience was to try colored contacts. Optometrist put a green one in, turned around and couldn't tell which eye he'd put it in. Same with the lilac. My whole family has blue/hazel eyes, and this threw the doc for a loop, lol.

Sherry, I'm with you, yet again. Getting up early is a pain. C'mon Sunday and not getting up at 6:30! Nice guest at the party!

Kimmar, that's okay, you should probably take that cold shower after seeing Capt Jack live and in the flesh. :teeth: LYMI

I'm getting a rep at work-as the music trivia queen. Ends up two coworkers were looking for particular songs, didn't know who did them or the names. Have both on the iPod.

Hey now!!! (I did see the smilie). You could have come to the Nordonia vs Amherst football game this evening. I wonder if anyone from Amherst is going to travel this far east to see the game. :rolleyes1

And you could have shared some of the German chocolate cake that Sherry is going to deliver :moped: any minute now.

It's going to be a quiet day at work today. Seems that the annual department golf outting is today and there are only a handful of us who aren't taking the day off. I plan to get a lot done. No interruptions.

As long as I'm here, does anyone want a ride to Indy on September 2nd for the DISmeet at the Loon Lake Lodge? I'm willing to pickup any hitchhikers along the way. I know that Elaine has other plans, but I thought I would extend the offer to those of you who might just be sitting around on Labor Day weekend with nothing better to do than to make the 10 hour roundtrip to Indy to have a late lunch / early dinner with other DISney crazies.

.....:earseek::eek:....I would have screamed 'bloody-murder' if I had seen this....:faint:

Suzanne, I do like trying new contacts, though it is annoying when they are the only ones you have to wear and you don't like them. Much happier to be back where I was. I tried colored contacts as well. I tried the green ones and my eyes looked less green with them in :rotfl:
Since I have light eyes, the only ones I liked were the ones with tints to them. Too cheap to buy them anymore though ;)

John, I had thought about being able to stop in and say hi... bad thing is I would have had no car. I'd just be stuck at the Hilton (wherever that one is) with a pool and hoping for wireless. So I'm here at home prepping to paint a room instead ;)

I do hope you get a good crowd for the Indy meet though. I would be there in a heart beat you know, if I didn't have a trip to NJ planned :)

Kimmar, I meant to ask... they do have him on a schedule so I can try to see him in Oct right?
