Tara, right click on the pic you cannot see. Copy the properties address and post them into the web address place. It should take you to the pic you can't see here. That's what I did.

Elaine, I like the idea of the new digs.

Good night Ya Yas!

do you know how hard it is to find the right click on a mouse with no right or left??? :rotfl: I had to look at the mouse for a bit to figure out which was the right and which was the left. I finally figured out I had to push the ctrl key and then click...macs are funny like that!!

gorgeous picture of your daughter Betty!!

I like the idea of going to Castaway Cay also. I've got my bags packed!!!

John...I may have to take a side trip if we have time. It's just such a long trip for me for one day and then to go to work. But i will keep that in mind!!

okay, i'm really going to bed now. I swear!!

Morning, everybody!

So, I've been telling everyone to send their rain my way, right? We get rain and it happens that we can't get the fridge and freezer connected because we can't get water into the system. (The compressors are on the roof). Nail biter for sure!

Tara, Sounds like a lot of fun-I would have held PITA under, too. I also would have ticked her off with comments like "Duh, you're on the water, you WILL get wet"

John, ex and a bunch of friends went on the Youghegieny in Ohiopyle. I took a pass-didn't think my wrists could take it. Saw some great pictures, though!

Lily, awwww at your nephew!

Sherry, enjoy the silence-with four, I'm sure there's not much of it!

Okay, gotta gather up my petty cash receipts for the boss. It'll be a nice check :yay:

Suzanne

Good morning everyone! Not sure what I am up to today. In a while I will be calling my sweetie, Marc and seeing when he wants to get together. He is visiting his parents this week so I know I can catch him at some point. Oh for anyone wondering, Marc is a dear friend that I've known since HS. He currently lives in the DC area. He was the one who I had as Man of Honor at my wedding :)

LOL, Tara, I didn't say nekkid... just shirtless ;) I'll tell Luis you are excited though :teeth:

For some reason I can't get moving today... need to check the weather to see when is a good day to kill weeds. I love my life :p

Good morning to you Lily :)

Suzanne, we'll just duct tape you to the boat. That way no worries on if you fly out or not ;)

Did any of y'all see this thread?

Seriously, what is the point of that ring tone?

dang!!! oh well!! And just so he knows the guides all had on swim shirts of some kind (you know the hug really tight and show off their 6 packs)...unfortunately tho, the guides do wear life vests so it is a little difficult to see their abs!! altho we did get to see his plumber's side! :lmao: At one point we got hung up between two rocks and he was getting us unstuck and he jumped in, but when he came out his swim trunks sank a little and well, we saw a very nice lunar eclipse for the rest of the trip!! :rotfl:

I didn't listen to the ring tone but I heard about it on tv. Yeah, lets just give kids another way to not pay attention in class. I'm sure that is what we really want!!!

Oh, I didn't tell ya'll about the tree fire we had at camp friday night. Someone came up to our campsite sometime after midnight and told us there was a tree on fire. Ryan grabbed a shovel, a bucket, and a fire extinguisher out of his truck (not sure what he does for a living but I don't think it is a fire fighter) and ran down and began to put the fire out. Apparently the fire had been smoldering in the tree for a while before it started showing flames. The fire dept. was called and the camp guides came out and helped to get things squared away but primarily Ryan had taken care of it. He was our hero!!

But once the group was sober the next day we figured out who had done it and what we think happened. The group next to us (part of our group but not "part" of our group if you know waht I mean) were smokers and we think they had gone into the woods because they didn't want to walk so far to the rr and had probably thrown down a cig. and that smoldered until it caught fire. We don't think it was our camp fire because our embers would have had to weave around a bunch of trees before it got to the tree that was burning and people reported hearing people down in that area. So that was our big excitment friday night!!!

off to babysit...um I mean teach my cherubs!!

I realized I have been very slack about ketching up...so please forgive me!!

Let's see what I can rmemeber without having to look back..

Elaine...your door looks very nice now. Dark colors are a bear to work with. The dark mango we used took a coat of primer and two full coats and three in some places. You could see all the missed spots very easily and it drove me nuts. I would still be working on it if mom hadn't stopped me. We are planing to put pictures and such up so we decided to make sure that any place that doesn't meet MY standards (apparently it looks fine to the rest of the world) will get a picture over it!!

Suzanne...sorry about all the rain messing up your freezer and such. You know, becareful what you wish for!! I saw you got to leave your husband at the inlaws the other day. That's quite a trick!! I think we just had another food make and take place open up around here. I heard something advertised on the radio and I thought it was the place I already knew about but then they gave a different address. So I may have to see what they have.

Lily...that dvd and slide show sounds really cool!!! That's a lot of work that will be truly appreciated in the end!!!

Nancy...how's Vegas??? I know they say what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas...but did you know they say the same thing about West Virginia!! :woohoo:

Sherry...woohoo on no children...sounds like a good time for mom and dad to share some quiet time!! or did you get rid of him too so you could really enjoy your peace and quiet?? hehehe

okay, gonna work, I swear!! I have an entire classroom to pack up and I need to get going!!!

tara

Hi all!

Tara - although I am totally water-phobic I loved your trip report!!! Count me in for camp crew - I'll keep the camp fire going and the beverages cold while the rest of you ride the rapids!!
Betty - the pic of your daughter was beautiful - the color of the dress looked so nice on her!!
Alan - outdoor movie - sounds like fun - we've done that at campgrounds before.
Suzanne - to answer your question Alyssa will be living at URI - it's about 45 minutes away.

Last weekend - not so great - well we did go to a Confirmation party on Saturday night - very nice good food - etc. However the night went downhill fast. Our DD decided to go out when we got home- said she was going to a 10pm movie. Would not tell us with who saying "the list is too long" - we didn't even know who picked her up - car drove up - she ran out. Keep in mind she now has a 1am curfew on weekends - mom-radar woke me up at 12:30 "you have a kid due in soon - better sleep lightly so you can hear the door" - well 1am came and went - as did 1:30 - 2:00.....by 2:30 I woke my husband and we called her cell. Got voice mail (insert here that in my mind there are only 3 answers to this dilemma - 1. they got into a car accident and she lying in a ditch somewhere 2. seh went to the movies with all guys and she's lying in a ditch somewhere 3. she knows her curfew and is ignoring it. She calls back says she's a a friends house and is coming home now (like that's ok). Needless to say I got about 2 hours sleep and had to be up for work at 7am on Sunday. When her father confronted her about this on Sunday she argues with him and then didn't talk to us for the rest of the day. The thing that bothers me the most is that this is a complete change of personality for her. Makes me mad and breaks my heart at the same time.
so.....thanks for listening....

Chris has exams this week - done on Friday....

 Lily, Sherry, Elaine, Todd....and all!!

I did forget to mention how beautiful your daughter looked when I saw the pic yesterday, Betty. ::yes::

Lily, I'm glad to see you rock :thumbsup2 We never doubted it. ;)

Bah, silly little healthy looking kids. Who needs a 6 pack? I have a whole keg abdomen :)

I thought the saying was "What happens in West Virginia stays in the family" :confused3

Oh come on, cut me some slack y'all. I live in Alabama and it isn't often I can pick on someone else

Paula, I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties with your daughter  but at least she was safe. Of course, once you know she is safe, then you want to hurt her ;)

Alan...we'll cut you some slack!! I actually have living relatives and dead relatives in WV.

 bump from page 2

Morning Ya Yas!

It's still morning isn't it?

Tara, oops, you have a Mac? I don't speak Mac. I might be able to turn on the power button, but that's it. Only a couple more days. Yippee for you!

Sherry, hope you are having a good time today. Don't miss them too much.

Paula, good luck dealing with an adult returning-home college student. They are so used to following their own rules they forget that they are living in a co-op environment when they return to the nest.

Suzanne, glad you got the needed rain, but oh my on the fridge and freezer connect.

Alan

Really? :stitch2:

Just finished my lunch. a pbj sandwich!! Nothing says mommy like a pbj!! :lmao: well, those and those baggy pleated jeans!!

I got more packing done. but I swear this room looks worse now than it did when I started!! I can't seem to get very far ahead in the cleaning process. Clean one thing and mess something else up

back to work!!
tara

Well howdy to you too! :wave2:

Okay, boring stuff. We went shopping last night for both freezers and a bed.

I 'spect I'm actually going to go out and buy them tonight.

dang...the place is quieter than a church mouse!!

well, I got home from work at 7 (have to do extra time so I don't have to work next monday), had dinner, got Jarrod home from his dad  , hung a mirror on the freshly painted wall, and put the kids to bed. Finally some dis time!!

Oh well, I guess since no one is home I'll go to bed!!

Have a great night all!!
tara

Dang server busy stuff.

What's this? Alan buying a freezer bed? I like to sleep when it's cold, but I don't think that cold.

G'nite Tara, feels good to be done with something. The mirror up is great progress. Kids in bed too. Sleep well.

Watched a pretty 2 point buck trying to not get run over in the street just a bit ago. He made it across. Whew!

Hi y'all... I know TERRIBLE Ya Ya here.

Marc and I talked at about 10 am and decided to go do lunch and then a movie. So I rushed to get ready and met him for lunch at California Pizza Kitchen. I decided that pineapple, orange juice and a bit of grenadine was a very good mix! I need to have that at home more often! Good food. Saw The DaVinci Code. Will now read the book!

Oh and tomorrow I am going out with Marc to play on his jet-ski to play on the waterway up north. Should be a fun way to spend the afternoon. Should be nice weather for it too!

I missed saying before Suzanne about the freezer & fridge. I do hope you can get that hooked up soon!

Tara, that is terrible about the fire. I hate it when people are that careless. Glad it was taken care of. Oh and I totally understand about your standards. I totally expect the colors I picked for the other rooms to take two solid coats of paint. This one took FIVE! Red is impossible. It isn't perfect, but it will do. If not, I will sand it down a wee bit and repaint later :rolleyes1

Paula  Hang in there with Alyssa. I hope things really will work out for y'all soon with that. And best wishes to Chris!
Btw, tag you're it ;)

Alan, but that is why we love you! I get tired of doing the same W.VA jokes, so you're at least a good target for those kind of things! Good luck with the shopping. I do hope it goes well :)

Lily, I love this smilie :stitch2:
So cute!!!!! I don't speak Mac very well either. at least not anymore :(

I think that's it... so sorry I wasn't around much. I hopefully will be here some tomorrow morning but not so much in the afternoon :)

see y'all tomorrow!

Tara - Your fire story reminds me of the first time that I went white water rafting in WV. I nearly torched the state. We were setting up camp and somehow I was left to my own devices to start the campfire. I cleared the leaves from around the fire ring. There were plenty because it was late spring and there were lots of leftovers from the previous autumn. Well, as fate would have it, my fire found its way out of the ring and started the very dry leaves on fire. I had a shovel and started trying to stamp out the fire. The couple in the very next campsite (who were with our group) didn't come help me despite my calls for help. Idiots. Fortunately I had a gallon of water handy and between that and the shovel, I managed to stop the wildfire from spreading.

After that, the raft trip seemed somehow anticlimatic.

Morning!

Boys got home around 8'ish last night. They had a fun time.

Tara, Junior was home on Monday, but yesterday I had the whole house to myself. :teeth

Elaine, sounds like you had a nice day yesterday. :)

Today I get my hairs done.

Morning all! sorry to have been MIA for a bit--my busy world, ya know. Had our end of the year choir picnic on Saturday and I'm thinking maybe I should not have gone. Too much grass pollen out there this time of year and I'm feeling it. I just hate it when my allergies decide to leak out of my eyes! Just one, this time--it's a wee bit swollen and weeping. Driving me nuts!!! Stuffy head and sore throat, too. But, I've been worse, so I just keep on keeping on.

No time for a real ketchup, headed in to work then to the dinner prep place and then one last choir practice tonight before we're off for the summer.

Gotta say, though, I loved your trip report, Tara!! I think a Ya Ya rafting/camping trip would be a riot!! Promise PITA won't be there, tho'?!
Laine, enjoy your visit with Marc! Always great to spend time with good friends.
Suzanne, hope you get that freezer and fridge hooked up OK. How frustrating!!
Paula, sending big   It's a tough adjustment on both sides. Also keeping Chris in my prayers.
Lily, hope the workplace doesn't become overwhelming now that your coworker has moved on. Glad to hear the deer made it!
Sherry, hope you really got to enjoy the peace and quiet while the boys were away. Good to have the family back under one roof, though, I know.
Alan--Mr. Freeze??!! :earseek:
Hope Nancy is having a great time and winning pots of $$!!

Gotta scram--have a wonderful day, everyone! :grouphug:

What does it matter. Don't all wives become ice princesses in bed at some point anyway? :duck:

Actually, my own lovely spouse :flower3: was seriously feeling blah when I got home (no, not BECAUSE I came home!) so I decided to stick around the house (after a necessary DQ run for blizzards) and have a goof-off night.

I will probably get the freezer tonight while she is in choir practice. Believe me, I am more useful shopping than singing :teeth:

Good morning, y'all!
