Refrigeration guys are here(yay!), health department inspector just walked in and I've got a bunch of employees coming in two hours to do the mad dash clean up and set up. I'm right now!

After this week I might actually be in the mood to plan WDW stuff more. The door really made me want to just slack off from it.

Had our end of the year choir picnic on Saturday...

I neglected to mention the year end pot-luck choir dinner to my wife. By the time she found out about it, we had other plans. I knew that if I went to the dinner, they would try to recruit me back into the chancel choir, so I decided to skip it this year.

An outdoor picnic does sound fun, though.

howdy folks!!

No time to get in here this morning. I had Jarrod's Kindergarten graduation this morning. It was very cute, they sang some songs and Jarrod actually looked more relaxed than at Christmas. At least this time the parents were more controlled! Everyone sat down and didn't try to jump up in front of anyone.

This school has a whole wing dedicated to the severely and profoundly disabled kids and as they were "graduating" from pre-k to k and from k to 1st you were really able to count your blessings. There were several kids who didn't appear to have any cognitive recognition and appeared to be unable to move on their own. It was really sad. But everyone clapped really hard for those kids (I think more for their parents than for the kids). It was kind of funny when one little girl who appeared to have severe CP, grabbed her "diploma" in a very jerky movement but managed to jam it right into her mouth! Everyone laughed because she looked so excited!!

Went to IHOP for breakfast and had stuffed french toast. Yummy!!

Beth...glad to see you even if you only have little slits for eyes!! We'll wave really big for you!! Oh and PITA swore she wouldn't do the Lower Gauley river because she is afraid of doing the class 4s. I think she knows that we will drown her!!

Oh, another PITA story...I was standing in line to buy the video of our trip when PITA walked up and said, "Oh good you are getting one, so I can just make a copy of your video." I spun around and very excitedly said, "Oooh great, if you want a copy then we can split the cost and each have a copy." She disgustedly declined and walked away

Hi y'all! Went out with Marc again and rode on his jet-ski. Very fun and boy does it have me itching to go on the water. I used to do it a ton as a kid!

John, I take it they are good at guilting people back into thing? I avoided a church for a while for the same reason though. I knew that if I went back, it would be back for good.

Lily, I hope you will enjoy getting your hairs done. I actually love it myself. Craig is still awesome and he just does a great job. He is almost like a trusted friend now more than just a stylist too!

Tara, that ceremony sounds like it was awesome to watch! I think that would just be a great one to attend. I lvoe watching little ones as it is anyway

Moment of Panic - - I could not find the YaYa home.....

Whew - glad that passed....

Have to share a funny phone call I got this morning.....phone rings - it's a gentleman asking for Chris - yesterday was his last day of exams so of course he's not here - slept at his friends house....I tell the caller I'm his mom can I take a message? Caller says "This is Mr Cash his history teacher" - so I'm thinking "omg Chris is supposed to be at school"...wrong - Mr Cash goes on to tell me what a bright boy I have although often difficult to motivate - he says "but I wanted to call and bust up Chris - I guess he didn't think I would read his entire essay - so please leave him a note that I called and ask him where he came up with the ship USS ZamZam because I've never heard of that one being in WW2. We were both laughing. He complimented Chris and the call ended on a good note.

Not much else going on here - I'm hoping to get some flowers planted today if the sun comes out - we're haing Alberto remnants right now - just rain.

work is going ok - I received an extremely condecending e-mail (as always the worst form of communication) this week so I decided intead of letting it ruin my day I would address it and move on. Basically the e-mail was pointing out an error I made in entering a service request - wrong format for purchase order # - it went on to say "what were you thinking - this is unacceptable" - so I thought about it - chose my words carefully and resonded that I was sorry that this sperson thought that my error ws intentiona but that in the furute I would prefer to be addressed in a more positive way. Case closed.

thanks to all of you for the kids words regarding my issues with Alyssa - I have decided that all I can do is enforce the house rules - It's not accomplishing anything for me to be stressing about her personal life and the decisions she is making - if asked I will give my opinion - otherwise I am out of it (ok - that being said it's probably going to take a while to adjust but that's my goal).

Lily, it is an absolutely beautiful day here as well! I was going to cut grass, but it is a wee bit too wet still for how long it is. I'll do that probably around lunch time

Peaches and champagne? Doesn't sound too bad either. I used to love the idea of mimosas though... figured it was safe to have that at breakfast (it has OJ afterall )

Paula What a funny call there! It sounds like his teacher may have a great sense of humor as well! Good for you with that e-mail though. Been there with work before. I even had a manager once tell me that she knew I didn't care but... I'd like to know the last time they made a mistake so we could get on them the same way they do their employees!
And good luck with the attitude with Alyssa! I do hope it works. Of course feel free to IM me anytime it gets tough. I'll play Alyssa for you if need be. However I am not entirely sure my IM is working 100% so if you message me and don't hear back at all, it's more likely to be that.

I suppose I should make the bed and fold the clothes that I have waiting. Then clean the kitchen and bathroom. Fun when you ignore things for a week or two
