Morning everyone!!

First day of work after being so sick and my eldest has to start it off badly. Arrrrrrgh. Hopefully the rest of the day will go smoother. We shall see if I make it all day at work.

This is Todd's 'domain' but since a couple of individuals have asked about my Mom I wanted to let everyone know how she is doing. Today she will meet her hospice nurse for the first time. I will leave work and be there when she comes. Overall, Mom is going downhill. I think her immune system is down...she touched a cactus and now has blisters on her hands and fingers. She has a difficult time concentrating at times and gets confused easily. She is using her walker and cane more often. She is still able to stay by herself, but we check on her often. Very soon someone will need to be with her 24/7. This week my one brother is off work and next week my other brother is off work, they both know they have the responsibility to be with Mom some each day. My parents celebrated their 40th anniversary on Friday. Saturday we had a surprise dinner for them, well it was a surprise for my Mom. It was a true blessing to see them reach 40 years. You could tell Dad wasn't in the mood. First off he didn't even come in the door with my Mom. He came in for a minute or 2 and then went back outside. I had to make him come in for dinner. It was a very nice time.

Well, I will now give Todd his domain back I really do appreciate everyone's concern and prayers. Thanks for being a wonderful, caring group!

Last night Amanda started watched Trading Spaces or some other stuff so I took the oppurtunity to watch Star Wars II upstairs and the girls followed me up there and Amanda got a much needed break..She has been getting run down lately and hopefully she got some extra sleep last night...

Thanks for all the b-day wishes! We're going out to Red Lobster (all-you-can-eat shrimp! WOO HOO) for dinner with my mom and brother. Mom's b-day was on the 7th and we always celebrate our b-day's together.
