You are so bad though... no way am I sharing a room with 4 others... unless they are hot men

Drat - ok - who is gonna be my roomie???? I will have 2 hot men with me......:smooth:

Nancy - wonderful pics - lovely home!! Love that view!! :) I had a double oven stove until December - when the darn thing finally gave up the ghost! Well - it was over 43 years old.... had to go with a regular stove as I was too cheap to ante up the $2000.00 they now cost.....:(

Amanda & Todd - I hate snakes!!:(

Liz - how is that sunshine??:sunny:

Rose Mary - thanks so much for the card!!:Pinkbounc It was such a nice treat on an otherwise dreary day!!!!!::yes::

I have lots of paperwork to get done - and zero interest in doing it...:o

Sherry--thanks for taking the snow...:teeth: ..we were supposed to get 1-3 inches last night..

Pam--we hate snakes too...

Nancy--$2000 is a trip...:earseek: ..Maybe next house..

 You're welcome to all! Enjoy the green sparklies :teeth:
My mom couldn't believe I got the cards off so early  .

Don't want to be here to day, major sinus headache going on :( .

Off to try to get into the work mode! Hope everyone enjoys their day!

It is nice and sunny hear and I woke up to the sounds or birdies chirping!! How nice!! Today is gonna be a bit of a work day for me! I have some freelance stuff to get done and then off to bake a cheesecake for my dad! In return, he is making a nice big pot of spagehetti!! He makes the best sauce in the world. Not much going on, just kind of relaxing a quite a bit. I miss my Barko and my Greg somthing terrible!! I am even looking forward to seeing Ashly, Randy, Michele and Princess Satan on Saturday!!! I must be really homesick already!!!!!! Oh well, such is life. I think I may hit the beach tomorrow!!! Hope all is well with all of you! Have a great day and I will be checking back later!!!

:wave2: :wave2: :wave2: :wave2: :wave2: :wave2: :wave2:

::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo :::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

:wave2: Nancy thanks for sharing the pictures!!! How do you keep the cats from eating the pretty green plants?? Lily looks very comfy on her couch :) Ehhh...that's not messy. You should see my computer desk :teeth:

Amanda the glass top stove is good and bad. Good for the fact that you don't have drip pans, but cleaning it is still a pain...even water boiled over turns black. The eyes are always too hot for the task at hand..and it takes them forever to cool off. But in the end...it's still better than having drip pans  My favorite thing is the microwave over top of the stove.

Ick...y'all keep those snakes away...I'm terrified of them.

Rose Mary I hope your headache goes away. I still have mine from yesterday...finally took an Imitrex...ya want one? ;)

Pam....just shred the paperwork..it'll be done then :teeth:

:wave2: Elaine

Good thing I took today as vacation since I feel like crap. Gonna lay back down and watch four hours of Sense and Sensibility (BBC version)...then think about going to the school library. I have to write a research paper about the movie.

Okay...I want in on this stove discussion!
I am going to get a new stove top and was thinking about a flat one, but I'm not liking Kristy's thoughts on it :(
Cleaning drip pans doesn't bother me......bad heat distribution does....so should I stay with a regular coil stove?

Amanda, I like low maintence too, and the tiles really aren't that bad. I just wipe them off. Clean the grout once a year with grout cleaner and use a DRY rag it sweep the flour/sugar spills away.

Elaine.....I didn't show the messies ;) You notice you didn't see all the rooms.....none of my bedroom ;)
My mother was a SUPER neat-freak, so any little thing out of place was a mess and that's still the way I refer to it ;)

I don't want any snakes either!! But we do have them around here and the cats have managed to get one or two into the house over the years :earseek: Good thing DH was home, although I had to scoop up the dead one :(

Kristy....the cats don't eat the plants. Guess they know those kinds aren't good for them.....however, they have been know to knock them off the table. They like that table to sit on and look outside and be in the "jungle" ;)

Sorry, Todd!! $2000 for an oven! I had no idea!! Mine is 18 years old......guess I better start saving now to replace it.
But that's also the cost it is going to be to replace my flooring, so I guess it would be worth it to me.

Liz...enjoy that spaghetti...and cheesecake! And the sun. Ours left today, but is supposed to be back tomorrow.

Pam, most of us have two gorgeous men to share rooms with, so just how do you think that would all work? ;)
I want my own suite.....thank you very much :teeth: You are welcome to come visit and have pajama parties ::yes::

RM and Kristy, hope you feel better.
I need to go pack :hyper:

Hope everyone has a great day!!

Morning, Ya Yas!!! Just haven't been able to find time to post and today looks busy, too. Cold font moved in and I had to get the winter coat back out--boss still has the A/C on here at work to keep the computers cool. Wanna go to FL or Calif!! Ya'll can keep your snow, I'm done for this year. Ready for sunshine and short sleeves!!

Better get back to work before boss hears me tapping away on the keyboard. I need a silencer!!

I'm just going off of what Pam said...:jester:
I'd be lost without my microwave...
Can't believe I went 25 years without one..:earseek:
My mom's family room flooring & kitchen wallpaper are 35 years old..:earseek: Trying to talk her into changing it..:jester:

shhh--so Beth's boss doesn't hear us.:wave2:

Nancy glass stoves are REALLY bad for heat distribution. Turn one eye on...and the one behind it might as well be on. Then forget about keeping the glass cool when the oven is on. I have to turn alot of stuff to low instead of medium like on a coil stove. It'll boil over and then it turns to black gunk..and you have to use a special cleaner that's expensive. Next time I boil something over I'll take a picture ;)
Oh...and if you use cast iron for cooking....forget about using it on the glass. Big no no. That's the single reason my parents will never own a glass top stove.

Nancy - when you are talking about double ovens - are you talking about the stove/oven model? That's what we had - two ovens on top and the burners pulled out and there was a big store unit on the bottom. Absolutely loved it! Almost died when I priced the new models!!:earseek:

I got the new glass top stove like Kristy - and it is a pain inthe butt to have to watch your food - and learn to adjust to cooking at a lower temperature. And I usually have a swearing session while cleaning the top!:o

Stoves...love the flat top. Never had any problems with the boil over factor, we keep the exacto right there to clean it up. Our distribution of heat is good. that is why i'm able to burn everything equally!!! lol! I particularly like using it as junk area when not cooking!! actually, my mom does the cooking and she has never had any problems with it!

Love the pics of the houses. Mine is one big mess from top to bottom. We have so much crap that we can't seem to get rid of! Although, we are slowly but surely getting it done. Our bathroom is almost finished...painted it orchid and replacing all the wood fixtures with white porcelin. The sun room will be finished this week. The rest of hte house resembles a trash pit with all the piles of stuff...although I have to say that our house looks pretty good when you see what some of the houses on Clean Sweep look like.

Hi to all...I like the resort anything is fine with me. I'm not picky jsut as long as you leave a forwarding address for me! I tried to show my mom how to log into my account on the board so she can send you all updates when i have the baby. She said that lucky for me I should only be in the hosipital a day or two so I can do my own posting!! :hyper:

I'm at work right now, feeling very very pregnant. All I wanna do is go home, curl up on the couch, and go to sleep. Unfortunately that won't be happening until saturday!! heheh

Gotta run and remind my kids not to mess with a pregnant woman because we can be very grouchy!! hehehe

tara

ps. calling for a Nor'Easter for tomorrow. No wonder my head is feels like it is going to explode! I want to go on vacation!!wah!
tara

Hi all... busy morning here... hopefully this afternoon won't be soo bad!

Amanda, your kitchen sounds wonderful!!!! Well your dream kitchen that is! I would love to have some of that but in order to get enough room for all I need, we'd have to knock out part of the house... oh well. We had to get a larger bed... we had the queen for 3 years and I was tired of getting kicked around. I sleep so much better with all that space and no one bugging me ;)

Well Pammydoodles, how can I have my hot lovin' if you are there cramping my space ;)

Todd, $2K can be two trips if I do it right ;)

Rose Mary, I am impressed as well!!! I can't believe you found time to do them at all! I hope your head feels better soon!

What do you all think... I am guessing Liz would like to be hurt ;)

Kristy, enjoy your day!!! Oh shoot, a flat top is no better than a regular one then... well there went my dream. If water boiling makes a mess I'd be in trouble!

Well Nancy, you do a great job of hiding the messes there. You'd probably die if you came to my house... it looks like a tornado hit it compared to yours!

YAY!!! Pajama parties at Nancy's!!!

Bethie, good to see you check in again. Try not to work too hard ;)

25 years without a microwave???? I think we've *had* one for 27 year of my life ;)

Okay now you really have me wanting to NOT get a flat top stove!

Oh my goodness Pam... that sounds like one heck of a machine there!!! I would like a double oven but am too cheap to buy one... you know just the range on top and the two ovens beneath. Plus I'd lose storage space.

Hi Tara

I really need to get back to work now... I've been doing this off and on for way too long!

Pam...I have double oven.....oven over oven....stove a separate unit.
You guys have about talked me out of the flat stove top ;)
I will do a little more reseach and talk to someone at the store.....but I think it might just be a coil stove for me (cheaper too ;) ).

:wave2: Hi Tara......hope you get rest soon!

LOL...Elaine sneated...they have about got you talked out of a stove too? ;)

Okay...I have only had a microwave for the last 18 years.....this house has been it! :teeth: You do the math!

got to go get some stuff done and then will be back.....for those of you in the YCE...names will be out in a couple of hours. I'm closing it down now :hyper:

Elaine--$2000 can do 4 of us a disney trip & a gatlinburg trip...if we drive..:teeth:

We have a smooth surface cook top and I really like it. Its pretty easy to keep clean and the only part of my surfce that gets hot the the burner that is turned on. Its looks so nice on our counter.
Liz your in trouble!!::yes:: You forgot to take me in your suitcase. And now your making ressies for mine (where is the 1 eyebrow lifting guy when you need him?)!!
I actually made a ps today for June 7, lol. It feels odd making a lunch ressie 90 days out when I normally dont know when I want to have lunch everyday.
I love the pics of everyones houses. I although I was intrigued by baby stuff at Elaines (but then it was explained ;) ). Nancy I bet your house is in a gorgous area. I love rural settings, Im not a city girl. Plus I love Washington anyway. I have only been there one time but I wanted to stay.
Rose Mary thanks for the card. I wish I was better at sending out stuff because I always enjoy it when I get stuff.

Okay ladies... Clay and Will are in now... :p it's not perfect, but got a last minute phone call while I was working on them this morning... hafta dash out the door, so will make'em purtier later, but hopefully this will give you a little something to look at for today anyway. :bounce:

Hi Liz!

Ack... gotta go... hair appt. got moved from Friday to two hours from now. I am such a dork... like I can really get ready and get there in two hours.. time for the little black car to fly! :p

Have a good day YaYas!!

....who agrees that Kimmie is SUCH A DORK??!?!?!?:teeth: (BTW ~ LOV-O-O-O-O-VE the new pic in your siggie!)

Wow! :earseek: Everyone's pics are great! It is fun to see what everyone's done with their places. I may try to share ours too. Not sure if it will get published though. So much going on right these moments.

DH just called me to see if I could squeeze him in to see our doc. Now I'm thinking--fat chance. But amazingly if he gets there right now she will see him as she just had a cancellation. Oh the luck of it all. He is driving from work and feeling "flu-like" and with his history, I am hoping that it is just that...flu.

So, I know I will be ministering to some sort of sickie when I get home and DS gets tooth extraction on Thursday p.m....more sickies to deal with.

I'm tellin' ya the fun just never ends.

So, I've read all, but my kechup will be so lame. Liz did it for me. Yeah.

Next pj party is at Nancy's I hear! I get the rocking chair on the back deck! I love rocking chairs. (Nancy, if you don't have one I'll bring my own.)

Later YaYas!...

Work has slowed down a little here, so I figured I'd pop in quickly.

Yep Nancy, talked me out of a flat top stove. I don't mind as they are more expensive to get. Although they are usually the ones with a double oven. I guess I don't need that. I saw that Sears was having 1 year same as cash... I might have to go get me a stove ;)

Todd & Amanda :teeth: Not getting in the middle of that argument ;)

although I will say Amanda makes really good cookies :p

Deena, I never thought of lunch that way before... but very true! I never know what I am having today but I still make PSs months in advance... kind of strange now that I think of it.

Kimmie, very nice sig there :hyper: I see enough Will so I am happy!!! Don't be such a stranger either.

Kimmar, I can't say that she is a dork because she has Will in her sig ;)

Lily, I do hope your DH is feeling better soon and that nothing is seriously wrong
