Well....I may not need that double oven if shep is no longer eating cookies He is only saying that because there are 8 boxes of gs cookies in the pantry. One other thing I want for my kitchen is one of the warmer drawers.....can you see the cost increasing?????

LOL Amanda, I'll tell you how bad it is today... I've been looking off and on at them for a while but really wanted the 0% financing for a whole year before I bought one. Glad you guys mentioned it because I would have not looked at them.

Oh Nancy - it's not bad - but I was spoiled by Old Granny - and won't ever be content with any replacement - now the flat top does have its advantages - no messy spills to clean under the burners, etc.

It just takes some getting used to cooking on the surface. I have a Kenmore.

Well all... this talk made me go to Sears and pick out a new range... I will be getting an Amana coil top with a HUGE 5.22 cubic foot oven. It has all I need and it was on sale too

It is a drawer in the wall that keeps your food warm while you bake other things.

Elaine...I can see the bonus check dwindling away

Nancy...I have a hammock that is still in the box. A cheap one, but I haven't found where I want it yet...too many snakes in the area I was thinking.

The baby that I watch has bronchitis. He'll be back on Thurs. and he has to have breathing treatments every 4 hours, so I'll be giving him some when he's here. Poor guy. He almost stopped breathing just before getting to the dr.'s office yesterday.

LOL, Amanda... actually the bonus check will pay for it upfront, but I'll have resaved this in a few months. We've been talking about getting both, but Luis has been a bit goofy about replacing our icky cruddy appliances! So now I will have a range that has a window through the door, coils that aren't crooked and it will have a timer!! ANd maybe, just maybe our dishes will be clean the first time So yeah, I've been budgeting for these this year in my mind anyway

Sherry, I was so close to getting a flat top until I heard how much it costs to replace a broken top... I knwo how clutzy I am and how heavy my all clad pans are... Coil works just fine for me that and I can do my wok w/o worrying

Sorry to hear about the poor baby I hope he feels better soon and the breathing treatments help.

Yay... I'm not a dork after all... I made it for the haircut in time. Bangs are trimmed so I can now see again. Yay!

Glad ya like Will, E. Will looks okay, but Clay is too tiny... need to work on that. I ran out of time.

Weighing in on stove tops... we have a flat top and love it. The secret for us was FLAT heavy bottomed cookware. With the right cookware, it's wonderful, without... it's a PITA. Thin, cheapy cookware wobbles and bobbles and things won't cook evenly... bleh. With our heavier stuff though, it's wonderful!

We have a Frigidaire. Got it at Lowes for $300 something. I looked around quite a bit and it was one of the most reasonable ones.
Sherry so sad about that baby boy-hope he is better soon.

OK, took DS to K-Mart to look for Yu-Gi-OH cards . He was upset they didn't have what he was looking for. Wanted to go somewhere else but, just did not feel up to it. Thanks for the well wishes for this darn headache to go away. We picked up some chinese for dinner. (Wish I had gone to Pam's for lasagna
