I'm gonna do a very lame ketchup:
Liz...I'm so sorry about Aunt Helen...my dgma had lung cancer and it is a nasty thing...hugs!

Elaine...that suit is very cute...I decided this year I'm keeping the top i have and finding some boy board shorts to wear. I have such fat thighs that when I walk in a bathingsuit my thighs stick together (tmi I know but hey we are sistahs!!) So I decided I will get some boys trunks and call it a day!

Karen...sorry you are feeling yucky again..I hope it gets better.

JRK...your moms service sounded very nice..and the food sounded good too, and thanks to you I had to go out to dinner last night  You mentioned PFCHangs and we deicded we would go there for dinner.....well wouldn't yo know they didn't have any openings until 2010...so I settled for a mongolian bbq buffett place. It was good but it wasn't changs!

Hi Betty!! glad to see you around!

Kristy...what a lovely DH yo have!! and monolpoly to boot. Did he let you win?

Caroline...my carpal tunnel started inside my wrists...like in the joints. and like a dork they were hurting last night but I was so tired I fell into bed and forgot to put the wrist spints on . Oh watta dork I am!!

Hi to everyone else!!

It was the usual Pin Meet at the Palace Theater in Lorain. You recall. The one that you so kindly drove me to last year.
John, I am sorry I missed it. I looked over at the meet thread and the pin trader forum and did not see the announcement of the meet. Oh well. Glad you all had a good visit. Yes that office was certainly spectacular.

My ketchup is not going very well. I’m back at the pictures of Pistachio and Soda on page 219 and can’t seem to move past them. Caroline, they are cute things.

Liz, sorry about Greg’s Aunt. Being that she is recommended for hospice, I would guess that perhaps a nice comfy soft sweatshirt in a pretty color might be a good idea; what about books on tape/cd or some soothing music tape/cd. Not sure how she feels about reading, but listening might be an option.

Kristy, I just have to say that the siggie pic of Dakota is by far the best one so far! She is certainly looking like a happy gal.

Elaine, that suit will be so lovely on you! I like the color and the style. I am glad you found one.

Suzanne, I just LOVE your topper holder pic! Also love your house progress pics. DH wants to move down there and it is quite helpful to see how the building is done. I am thinking that we would do a bit smaller house as it will be the 2 of us with some extra space for visitors thrown in. Your digs will be magnificent for your growing family. Are you putting in any “soundproofing” between the walls? I was thinking of your music room and sound proofing. We did that up here in our house with all of our interior walls and basement as some of us need to sleep during the day as undisturbed as possible.

Betty, great to see you drop by. Time, yes, that elusive commodity. I understand. We are folks that find a way to fill most of what we are given and always looking for more.

Karen, hope you feel better after the prednisone is finally out of your system. Don’t go on that scale! That med is evil for weight gain and puffyness. Every now and then DH looks at a pic from his prednisone days. Oh my!--but the med did work for a time at least. You will get back down.

Sorry that I have not included everyone in this post. I love ya all…mean it!

I got so busy with the ketchup that I forgot to say waht I wanted to about my day!! Oh boy!

First, Ethan cut his first tooth Friday nght and his second Saturday morning!!! So he no longer a toothless wonder!! I hate that his cute little toothless grin is going to be leaving us!! oh well!

Second...so I go out to Ricks celebration yesterday. First, it was about 40 degrees with a windchill taking it into the low 30's. Second we were on top of Mt. Trashmore which is has about 100 steps to get to the top. (It is 80' by 600'feet.) It is the highest point in town that is not a building. here is a picture from the top of the hill
Virginia-Beach-VA-Lake-Trashmore-01-24-2002-02.jpg
So the wind that was whipping at the bottome of the hill was really whiping at the top. We became little popscicles standing up there.

But I digress. When I got to the park I took my keys and threw them into my purse with the bag of pictures I had taken to share. then I got the bright idea to leave my purse in the car and just take the pictures. So I gathered up the pictures, put my cell phone in my pocket and away I went!! Realizing at about 50 feet from my truck that I had just locked my keys inside my car!! I figure Rick was getting a big ole kick outta that!! He also had to be laughing at all these people who were struggling to get to the top of the hill when as a runner he could race up this hill and not be out of breath!!

Anyway, rick's mom brought the balloons and said a few words and then his best friend released them and the direction the picture is facing is the way the wind took the balloons. They went striaght to the afternoon sun! It really was a great tribute to Rick! We only stayed on the hill for about 20 minutes afterwards because we were so cold.

Anyway, now life will return to normal but without Rick physically being with us! Thank you for all the hugs and thoughts they have really meant a lot during this stressful time!!

ugh, now I have to clean house!! Back later!

Yesterday Greg and Randy were talking about going to see Aunt Helen. Both felt it would be a good idea and something that needed to be done. Of course Michele made it very well known that Greg SHOULD go and see her.
I was thinking/hoping this would be a nice time for Greg and Randy to do the brother thing....after all, Greg is Randy's only brother.....(her words to us in the past) and they never really do get to spend any time together at all. So, I figure out all the plans for the trip and call Randy to see who I am booking flights for and he says..."just Greg". Really not a big deal if there were a reason other than Michele is just a .....well you know. I am torn between feeling sorry for Randy or being really mad at him. He has not an ounce of self respect...too bad...so sad.....and I just don't get it. But hey.....so since it will be too hard for Randy to miss the girls for the very short time they will be gone....he won't be going.......which really trasnlates to Michele would not let him go. Again, I am reminded how important her family is and how unimportant Greg and Randy's families are. But yeah for me....this makes is so much easier to distance myself from them.......don't think I can take much more or their crap!!!

Sorry... I feel soo much better now. More later when I get myself into a better mood....think I am going to go and take a nice long bath!

Come out come out wherever you are Yayas.

JellyrollsKaren

Hi all. Well...I've spent most of my day at the urgent care center and pharmacy. Turns out I have a sinus infection. The doctor wrote me a script for z-pack and also wants me to take Mucinex.

Betty it's good to see you again!
Karen I hope you're feeling better this afternoon. We obviously skipped church too.
Suzanne I love your toppers holder. How did you make that work? I'm going to check out your house pics in a little bit.
Tara the picture from the hill is surreal. Happy to hear that the celebration went so well, except for the whole locking your keys in your truck.
 Nancy, Liz, JRKaren, Elaine, Kimmie, Caroline, Lily

I think it's time for a nap now.

Liz I feel angry with you. What kind of person would stop their dh/dw from seeing a loved one that wont be around much longer. That is just wrong on so many levels. And its to bad he is to PW to stand up to her. Sad, sad, sad.
We played Bunco last night. I tied with another for most games won so we split the winnings and called it a day. We had fun. We are now planning a baby shower for my best friend that is due in April. She has 2 boys (very naughty boys) and is now expecting a girl.

Tara sounds like a beautiful tribute
 Karen, JRKaren, Caroline, Lily, Kimmie, Nancy, Suzanne, Betty and everyone else who pops by.

Hi all, busy day and didn't expect it to be. We had church and the usual lunch with a group of friends after. Then we came home, shoveled the snow off the driveway and Luis said he wanted to go to the mall to get a hair cut and look for clothes. So we did that, and I wound up getting some more stuff for work. I think I am good now that I have 3 pairs of jeans and about 8 pairs of pants I can wear at work (still mostly black). I'm done with shirts for a while since I'll be wanting short sleeved again soon. We picked up Arby's on teh way home and now I am in bed warm and cozy with my laptop :)

going back a few pages now...

Stacy, glad that your DH is back at home. I always sleep better when Luis is around :)

Suzanne, that sounds like a pretty good deal for the table (especially one that looks that nice!) Oh and I did look at Lands End before, but they didn't have quite the style I was looking for.

I looked at that silly pic again and realized that the model looks really stupid with teh fan blowing, making the top go up more than it should. And I know she cannot be a size 8 and that is the smallest size that suit comes in!

Nancy, thanks for keeping up on the list for us :)

Betty, we do miss you around here, so we are glad whenever you can pop in! I agree, great group of people have come from this thread!

Karen, I do hope that as you take the diuretic, that the weight will come off quicky. I've never had it that bad, but I hate feeling puffy as well.

Bunches of tech jobs in Tampa??? That would be a DREAM come true for me!!!! Ahem... moving on...

Liz, I agree, it is always great to have a 2nd opinion while shopping. I honestly didn't even think my chest would've come close to fitting that one though. Oh well, guess not ;) I am way too picky when it comes to clothes. That's why I hate shopping. I have a tendency to put a LOT back. I admit though, I have recently found a great store for me with work clothes... NY & Company... great selection there of stuff I can wear. Just dropped another $80 there today :o

Suzanne, I haven't looked at *all* the pics yet (plan to in a few) but I loved all I saw!

Howdy JRKaren!

Caroline, a pound is a pound! Be happy for that! You have a mini??? I am so jealous... they are cute as can be!!
Oh the sundae, well we got the one on Friday at the restaurant (TGIFridays) but yes, I have made the mix and put good ice cream and hot fudge on top at other times.
The bathing suit came from a place called Swim N Sport. I looked up and the maker of mine is a Canadian one called "Christina" Never heard of that one before yesterday. But the store is basicially one of those swim suit only places. They had more much to choose from there!

Nancy, I hope you had a blast today!!!!!

LOL, Kim, I have dealt with many furbabies noses, paws, tails and whatever in the way of typing. It cracks me up when one of them tries ot climb on my laptop when I am in bed with it :p

Tara, good luck finding a decent bottom for your suit. I am big thighed here as well, and a lot of the boy shorts look awful on me :( I can imagine it would feel better if you find a pair that fits well. In the mean time, I'll just hide mine beneath the sarong I have :rolleyes1

SPeaking of join troubles, my wrist brace has been MIA all weekend... need to find it ASAP.

Lily, we are just glad to have you back (ketchups or not)

And Tara  That sounds like a wonderful day. Sorry about your keys though. Looks like it was a beautiful place to be as well.

Yuck, Kristy! I hope your meds hep you soon! Sinus infections are awful.

Deena, have fun planning the shower! They are fun to do!

Well, I need to go find that stupid wrist brace I have. Catch y'all later :)

Liz Im sorry your SIL is being the way she is and your BIL is letting her. I can understand why you don't want to spend time with them.

Tara what a beautiful picture. Im glad everything went as planned with the balloons going up and into the sunshine. Im really sorry you locked your keys in the truck though. I do bet Rick was laughing. He will always be with you sweetie, not in the physical sense but always in your heart and mind and he will always be looking down on you.

My dh is being a doll baby today. He is reworking and clearing out our bedroom and redoing my bed. I'm going back to try to sleep in our bedroom. I kinda had a mini breakdown today before church. I cried so hard in the kitchen that I think I scared dh a bit. I am just SO tired, physically, mentally, and emotionally. Not sleeping and sleeping on the couch is not doing me any good at all. I'm still trying to figure out how I'm going to tolerate dh's snoring but I have to at least try. If I have to get earplugs and a monitor for the kids room that I can keep right by my bed then so be it.....I have to be able to hear the kids should they need me or the smoke alarm etc..... I know I know Im paranoid. Dh promised me it would be finished tonight so that I can sleep in there tomorrow night. He just started on it a bit ago so it wont be ready for me tonight as it will take him into the wee hours to finish it. He says he will stay up until it's done. I thought that was very special of him and the fact that he wont let me help him at all. He wants me taking it easy today because I didnt sleep last night.

LOL ya'll sneated while I was typing and fixing dinner.

Kristy Im glad you found out what is wrong and were given something to make it better. Z-packs are a GOOD thing LOL. Im sorry you had to miss church but very glad you went to the doctor and found out what was wrong. I was worried about you. I actually did end up going to church and I actually even went to regular services. It was suggested that I go during Kids Church as they wanted me especially to hear the sermon. We had a guest pastor and he was WONDERFUL. Im glad they made me go because I did get a lot from the sermon today. The childrens ministry director actually took over my job at kids church so that I could go. I am getting a copy of the sermon on tape on Wednesday because I really want to be able to listen to this one over and over again. The message was very powerful especially when you are feeling helpless.

If I only had a brain....... Elaine I meant to tell you how much I like that suit and the coloring of it. It is very very pretty. You got it at Swim and Sport Shops?? I wonder if we still have them down here. I know we used to. Once I finally get down to my goal weight I want to go to a swimsuit shop and be fitted properly.

Evening, yayas!

The topper holder is the bud vase that comes in every new beetle. I didn't have to do anything special, but as soon as I saw I had a vase-I knew had a home for the toppers, lol.

I was going to ketchup, but now I have complete brain fry. I've been cleaning up the piles of papers. Neither one of us has been on top of the shredding and now that the whole world seems to be asking me to get their card, I've gotta step it up.

We went to the Rooms to Go Warehouse today. They had a hutch that was similar to our table, but blonder wood-oh well. I guess the 'pub height' table is starting to be the next wave-they had two of them, but boring ones with no expansion ability.

Then a nice Sonic lunch and grocery shopping. I've got to pack tonight and color my hair-lots o fun.

Elaine or anyone more experienced in posting pics, how do I rotate an image. I'm posting it, but it's obviously sideways! Can't have anyone thinking I still have Christmas toppers on display, lol!

Night, all...perhaps I'll check in later.

Suzanne

Karen, here's a link to the locations. Saw a couple that would be near you http://www.swimnsport.com/locations/index.htm

I do hope you get your rest soon... I am sure that will make all the difference in the world :)

Suzanne, I only rotate with the software I use when I resize. Imagestation has that option for you. If you go into "edit picture" (one of hte links on the side as you are adding in) you will see a scroll list where you can choose that option. PM me if that didn't make sense ;)

Thanks so much Elaine. There is one at Sawgrass Mills Mall which isn't too far from us and I love going there. Its one of those MEGA MALLS with everything and anything and tons of outlet stores.

Dh actually finished what he was doing in our room and I can sleep in there tonight!!! Woooooooooohoooooooooo!!!! He has some tweaking to do tomorrow but he is off and can do it. It's been a rather productive day actually. I had a cabinet in another room and put it in my kitchen so now I have more storage space out there. I have all my glass measuring cups....I have them in all sizes....on the shelf in the cabinet and it looks rather neat!!! Dh has been doing laundry for me and I did dinner and the dishwasher. It's just so nice that we work together on getting things done around here. He does so much without a complaint. Im pretty lucky because there are a lot of guys who wont or will whine and complain or have to be nagged. I ask dh and pretty much he does it or gets to it as soon as he can. He also does things on his own that he sees needs doing which is nice.

I like your swimsuit, Lainey! :)
Let's just say that my body has not been inflicted with the tortures of a swimsuit in over 3 years!

It's been snowing for the past 2 days - pretty slick roads.

What a nailbiter of a football game yesterday -- thought my Steelers were doomed more than once!! :earseek:

Any update on how Mandy is feeling?

Nancy - I have actually started falling asleep before DD gets home when she's back from college! I must be getting old..... ;)

:earseek: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :earboy2:
OMG!
I'm doing a reading ketchup and I made it to Liz's Pink bathbomb story. I gave my Boss some of that stuff at Christmas because I know she would appreciate a great realxing soak! Maybe I won't ever go back in there. Maybe I should retire now while I can. Have I already told you that I really LOVE my boss. She is the greatest. Oh my, oh no. (not to be confused with Ono)

Nothing like getting the HOLY CRAP scared out of you to make you not sleepy!!!!! I was going to bed a few minutes ago....was all snuggled in.....when there was someone banging at our door!!!! Dh and I went out and it was the POLICE!!!!! Apparently a man on the next street's alarm was going off. He has the same address as ours and same street number just different in that we are court and he is avenue. They were looking to talk to him. The policewoman appologized profusely but GEEZ check your addresses before you go slamming on someones door at 11:30 at night!!! I am WIDE AWAKE now.

Guess we all need to mail Lily some of those "Will Work For Food" signs......... ;)

Oh noooooooooo Lily you didn't. You better warn her ROFL!!!! You certainly will know if she actually got use from the gift you gave her because she will come in all pink....or whatever color bathbomb you got her ROFL!!!!!!

Good Evening, actually it is after 12 am so GOOD Morning Ya Yas !!

Nancy-- Thanks so much for the ya yas list, I printed it out

Liz--sorry you lost your 78 year old Japanese dinner goer with..

Caroline--We always request the Habatchi because the cook does a cute performance. Although the jokes never change, it's still fun.

Elaine--Me too, when Hubby is home I don't lock the door. It's funny cause our town is so safe, you could probably leave the house wide open for a week and not even the animals (squirrels, cats etc) would dare to venture in.

Karen--So Sorry you were startled like that. My car alarm went off one night at midnight and scared the heck out of me and I was wide awake for 2 hours or so after that.

Tara--I am glad everything went well. Sorry about the locking the keys in the car episode though.

ok I think I am all ketchuped !!
have a good day !!

I keep forgetting Monday is a holiday..DS has no school, post office is closed, i guess the bank will be too then..
