Im back from the ILs and just got finished cleaning up the house. How three people can mess up a house so badly in one day doing supposedly nothing is beyond me. Of course they leave ME to clean up the mess!

It was nice to see the family tonight but very tiring. I should have stayed home but my BIL, SIL, Nephews and Niece came in all the way from NC and my other BIL, SIL and Neices came in from across the state. We exchanged gifts with the kids and had a good time. The boys got a lot of neat things. I got a beautiful little silver flying angel thats about three inches across that has two hearts hanging down from it that say the boys names on them. It's supposed to be a christmas ornament but I have decided to leave it up all year. It's just too pretty and special and I LOVE angels.

My SIL got my dh so badly tonight it wasnt funny. Dh was lamenting at Thanksgiving about how when he was little the movers had lost his army men, their barracks and his dinosaurs so what does my SIL do but buy him army men, an army tent, and a dinosaur that winds up!!!! We were all hysterical!!! I still cannot believe she did that.

Kimmy it sounds like you are going to have one heck of a neato bedroom!!! You will have to post pictures when you are through with it. I can't wait to see it. Im glad you had a good Christmas but you are right sometimes it can just get too loud and too confusing with so many people around. I know it was like that tonight with us. I don't tolerate a lot of noise and confusion well anyway and put in the mix that Im tired and I dont feel well and it makes it that much worse. Im glad you were able to try and just concentrate on Cam. How is that sweet darling boy doing?? He is such a great kid. How is mom doing??

Welp I guess I better get something into my tummy and get my meds into me. I didnt want to take them at the inlaws because sometimes they melt early before I can get them totally down and it makes me kinda sick. Just didnt need to have that happen over there. Then it's to bed with me after I get the kids in bed. Another long day alone at the office tomorrow. Sweet Dreams Everyone.

Another mild day at work...went fast, was busy! But it started off really slow, so the new mgmt trainee and I were complaining that we were bored, lol! This new guy is AWESOME-I'm having lots of fun working with him!

Liz, watch out-you walk into a TDS with Bethie and you might add another yaya to the ranks, lol! I can vouch for that!!!

Karen, I'm driving down to cheetoh your coworker, and you can't stop me. She KNOWS you're sick and she leaves more work for you? What, does she want you in the hospital from the overwork so that she has to do all your work? GRRRR, I want to go talk some sense into her!!!

AAACCKKKKK, there's a scary commercial on during american chopper-celine dion, michael bolton, taylor dayne, oleta adams--all these dorky love songs during a testosterone show. Those sappy love songs and the Teutels DO NOT go together. EWWWWW. Don't get me wrong, I like love songs, but not this dreck.

I made buffalo wings tonight, and Kevin grabbed a few-we'll make a spicy food fan out of him yet! He can't live by buffalo shrimp alone, lol!

Lainey, I hear ya on 7 being sleeping in. Hoping to get to sleep until nine, but the opening mgr tomorrow has been really sick and I told her if she needed to swap shifts to get some more rest, to call me by 7:30...I'm betting the phone will ring. Uggh, sinus infections. My condolences-had my share of those.

Bethie, you didn't get enough snow last year and the year before that you're hunting more down? Shoveling three feet in Feb '03 cemented my move to Florida, lady!

SSB, sounds like we can have our own gimp around the world-I've got leg surgery lined up right after your back surgery...meet at wheelchair rental in Epcot on 1/28, lol?

Amanda can walk on (frozen) water...wow! Lucky you, take the hubby and enjoy the meal at cheesecake factory with those crazy yaya women!

Off to find some of my slippers. I know there's a box around here somewhere that has one of my dozen or so mickey slippers in it, and I need to warm up these cold popsicle toes of mine.

Jinkies .. looks like I have some catchin' up to do! We got back a few hours ago from my parents' house. They live a few hours away, and driving yesterday was terrible, so we stayed overnight. I'm still going through Kleenex like it's going out of style, unfortunately. At least I have another day before I have to go back to work.

Ok, I'm off to do some reading. Next post should have a more tomato-y flavor.

LOL!!! Yep, always lookin' for fresh blood.....I mean Ya Yas!! Visited your "old" store yesterday, Suzanne, and picked up that 65th Anniversary Fantasia snowglobe for 1/2 price. I've had my eye on it for a couple of months and was so happy to be able to get a deal on it! Loved the fleece tops for only $9.99, too!!!!

Barkley likes my fleece top too He likes to lie on clothing, Liz tells me. Soon as I laid it on the bed, he curled right up on it like I had laid it out just for him!!

And no, I didn't get my fill of snow over the last couple of years!! I must have a good dose of it every year or I don't feel like it's really winter! Last year was more ice than snow. Although that lovely storm in Feb. '03 was fantastic!! I had such a blast shoveling my car out from under something like 22 inches of it!!

We are going to meet up with Todd and Amanda tomorrow in Indianapolis for a visit at the Children's Museum! Amanda says she is not sure she likes the idea of being the only adult in the group..........I think we will be leaving the squirt guns, whoopie cushions and fake vomit at home this time

Not going to overstay my welcome on Liz's computer, so I'll just make this quick and say Hi ya'll, wish you were here too! We will try to stay out of trouble when we go to the city on Wednesday--not sure if that's possible knowing me and Liz....

Okies, I'm caught up on my reading now. Scott was impressed that you guys got through 5 pages while we were gone.
Christmas: Part 2 was very nice, apart from my interrupting it with sneezing every 2 minutes, and my mom forbidding me to touch anything. On the plus side, that did mean I got waited on - always a silver lining. On the drive over, our windshield wiper fluid shooter things froze up, so we had to stop to a) get winter fluid (d'oh!) and b) get hot water to unfreeze the lines. That and bad roads added about 45 minutes, making our trip 3-and-a-bit hours instead of 2. Not fun, but at least the ferrets were well-behaved in their carrier. I felt sorry for them being stuck in there, but they slept snuggled up the whole way. 'Tis a hard life for ferrets.
I'm definitely on board with the YaYa weight loss group. As I said, I think I finally 'cracked the code' as far as what I need to do to keep losing, but WDW and the holidays have derailed me. Anyway, I'm down 10 lbs since August (slow progress for this girl), and I have about 60ish to go. That would put me around 125 .. I can't remember when I weighed that honestly, so that may be too low. We'll see. In any case, I'm ready to cheer y'all on if you'll cheer for me.
All right, let's get out the ketchup bottle.

Liz, your SIL's name isn't Patricia, is it? Because she sounds a lot like my SIL. We haven't seen my husband's family in a long while because of something she started. Sorry you have to deal with that. I know it stinks. If you ever need to vent, feel free to AIM me. Have a great time with Beth!

Suzanne, glad everyone liked their pressies! Has the bike gotten it's official road test yet? Glad you didn't have to stay too late at work, either. Years ago, I found that sodas with nutrasweet used to trigger my migraines too, so I stopped drinking them. Earlier this year, when I got back into the weight loss thing, Scott and I did some experimenting and I found that it was only drinks with aspartame and acesulfame-potassium (sp?) that hit me, but drinks with only aspartame or Splenda didn't. I'm not sure if that a-potassium thing is used in the U.S., but I imagine it would be. Have you tried any diet sodas with Splenda? ( because we don't have those in Canada)

Karen, I'm glad you're starting to feel better. I hope you don't have to stay on the increased meds for too long, but I'm glad they're working for you. My husband and I are both working New Year's Eve night, and New Year's day night, so no plans here. At least we'll be making double time and a half.

Elaine, congrats on passing your weight loss goal! That's awesome! I'm going to be using you for inspiration.

Tara, I'm so glad to hear they didn't find anything too serious with your mom. I hope they can 'un-pinch' her nerve, if that is the problem. Those are lousy. Sorry she had a rough night at the hospital. I hope she's feeling all better soon.

JRKaren, $36 airfare is great! 8 inches of snow is less-great, though. Hope Mr. Snowblower fulfills his duties next time. Stay warm!

Beth, a hot toddy sounds like a good idea about now. I think my mom was a little surprised when I polished off the wine last night. I told her I was trying to disinfect myself from the inside out. Hope you and Liz are having a blast!

Amanda, hope your kids are feeling better now. Poor things, being sick over school holidays is no fun!

Nancy, you sound busy over the holidays. Hope you're having a great time. Of course, how could you not have a great time at a B&BW sale? I wish we had those here, but on the other hand if we did, I'd be broke and over-run with lotion.

Acccck I have been up since 4:00 AM coughing like an idiot. I am so very tired of this. I may have to bite the bullet and go to the pulmonologist and see if he can get this under better control for me. Now all I have to do is find the time to get there since I cant leave work to do it.

Suzanne would you please come down and cheeto my coworker?? I am still so mad over what she did and said. I know full well when she is off that I have to do her normal work and mine and I expect that but I didn't expect her to leave extra for me to do. Now when I go away she has nothing but her own job to do because she cannot do my job. I don't have that option so her leaving extra just bit my butt the wrong way.

Dh hopefully will go to the mall for me today. He heard about it big time about not going yesterday. He said he ran out of time. He had eight hours and nothing to do....how exactly did he run out of time I cant figure out. I just got mad because I do and do and do for everyone sick or not and when I want something it doesnt get done and there is always an excuse.

Caroline Im so sorry you are still feeling poorly. Im saying prayers that this gets over quickly for you. Im sorry you had such a nasty trip to your parents. Driving in that kind of weather has to be scary! Hehehehehe I like the disinfecting from the inside out. I will have to remember that one!

My SIL told me last night that my neices collect snowglobes so she gave me some ideas for gifts for them that they will like. Oooooooo fleece tops too?? JRKaren I hear from the news this morning that you are under a snow emergency. How are you holding up? Will you be able to get to work today? I hope your brother gets out there and snowblows for you so you don't have to shovel. It worries me you being out there shoveling in this kind of weather.

Well I guess I will jump in a warm shower and see if it helps the coughing. Today is going to be an interesting day. Thankfully we only have a couple of patients today so I can take my time doing stuff.

Good morning everyone!

It's another cold morning here in Boston. It's 12 degrees as I type right now, but it's supposed to be in the 40's and 50's later in the week. Go figure.

Karen, the storm was over by noontime yesterday. Trudged into work yesterday, and I trudged into work again today. When you live up here, you get used to dealing with the snow. Folks in our DC office kept on calling yesterday and they were surprised I was in--if there is three inches of snow in DC, the DC office gets the day off. We don't get off work unless there's like two feet of snow. Heck our DC office gets a day off if the president gets a hangnail.

Elaine, I hope that your sinus infection is getting better. I used to get those all the time when I was in my teens and twenties, and I know they aren't fun.

Suzanne made buffalo wings? Where I mine? I love buffalo wings (although I prefer the boneless kind--chicken on the bone is too much work).

SSB, you should definitely do an extended forecast before you go under the knife. How long do they expect the recovery to be? What will we do without the wit of the almighty SSB?

Beth, I'm sorry that you are with Liz right now. How unfortunate for you. I hope you survive.

Caroline, hope that your cold goes away real soon. It sure seems to be lingering on and on.

Well, that will do it for now. Time to get working. I got a lot of work to do.

Althought SSB, that weather sounds perfect to me!! I am really envious of my brother and SIL who are leaving today, to go to Orlando area to visit a friend for NYE.

I know what you mean about snow, and we don't even get that much JRKaren. I only have missed when we had a couple of feet and I couldn't get out of the driveway and with ice... but ice is a whole other evil than snow.

Gwenie is cuddled next to me being as sweet as can be... I love mornings like this

Just a quick good morning. I went to bed with a headache and woke up with one. Took some Aleve and hoping it kicks in soon.

The MRI went well, although they were running late, and the needles made Junior's shoulder very sore.

Ugh. I just called the pulmonologist's office and they say they cannot get me in today but can next week. Lotta help that will do. She said she would have him call me when he gets in and see if he can work me in today. I just dont want to let this go because it's not letting go of me. I am so wiped out and exhausted it isn't funny. I have done not thing one at work today besides make coffee and take the phones off service. I just dont have the get up and go to do anything. I cant be getting up at 4AM and then trying to work this way. Something has got to give.

Elaine Im so sorry you were up so late last night not being able to breathe. Poor kiddo. I hope this sinus infection goes away quickly for you. You are in my prayers sweetie.

Karen I have heard that before about the places in DC closing if it even snow showers there because they are just not used to it. Im glad you were able to get into work okay. Stay warm and stay safe. I heard it still wasnt supposed to be good up there for you today either.

Sherry I hope your headache goes away soon. Im sorry Junior had problems with the shots.
