Welcome to the WISH Biggest Loser 7 Challenge

Hi everyone! I haven't posted in awhile, but I'm still here! I've been trying to spend way less time at the computer and more on the treadmill. I do check in though, and try to keep up. The weight loss has been great, so it seems to be working. Congrats to everyone for hanging in there so long and thanks for being here! This contest is what's been keeping me motivated. I love games and I live for weigh-in day. My computer died this week but I should have a new one soon and I'll try to post on a regular basis.

Good luck tomorrow!

Hey guys, I just came home from TaeKwonDo class and we did alot of practicing for the tournament.

I actually wrote something different, then deleted it. No excuses right? I am a bit nervous, so i'll just leave it at that. Any and all WISHes for luck, I'll shamelessly ask for!;)

Way to go, Princess V!! :thumbsup2 You are going to do AWESOME at the tournament!!:cheer2:
TammyNC, so glad you have found a reliable IT place!! :badpc:
njmom, wonderful news to hear that you are on the mend!!

Vija,

Congratulations!

You are doing it! That new clippie looks so wonderful in your siggie. You wear it proudly. Don't get too used to it. I know you will be changing it in for the next level.

Don't worry about your tournament. You just bring that determination that you show here and you will do fantastically!

I got on the scale tonight, ugh. Unless a miracle happens in the a.m. I am going to have to really buckle in and stop this mess.

Losers, stay healthy, get healthy, get going!

You can do it! We can do it!

Hi Everyone, I will be your coach this coming week. I am a west coaster so I will try to post QOTD the night before or as early in the day as I can. I will try not to repeat anything but...

I will try to respond to as many posts as I can. If I miss your post I am not ignoring you, I just missed it somehow.

Friday's Question of the Day:

What is your favorite meal/food and how have you made it healthier, so it fits into your new way of eating?

Good Friday morning everyone. I am the same as last week which is okay with me. Exercise has been very little since my ankle and foot have been bothering me. TIme to get to the doctor and schedule my bunion surgery for June. It was starting to feel better and I was thinking I could put it off. NO I can't.

I have a busy weekend but the show at the local high school opens next weekend so we spend the weekend looking and finishing the costumes before they use them on Sunday night for the first time. I will be gone most of the weekend. Better start planning my food.

QOTD Thursday - What is your favorite day of the week and why?
I guess it would have to be Saturday when we have no where to go. Love to sit around and just do whatever I want.

Congrats Vija on the new clippie It looks good.

Thanks Tammy for hosting last week.

Welcome DisneyChrista for hosting this week.

QOTD Friday -What is your favorite meal/food and how have you made it healthier, so it fits into your new way of eating?

I love cereal and I have been making sure that I get a good cereal with the highest fiber possible and then add skim milk to it.

Have a great day everyone.

:cool1: :thumbsup2 Today I got my first compliment! I am so happy!:cool1: Someone at work was just passing me by and said "they could tell"!

I also get to change my clippie, I am going to go do that right now! I stepped on the scale today, and I was THRILLED!!!!! Since the beginning of my DH's biggest loser competition I have lost 12#, but overall, from my highest I have lost 30#!!!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

THat is a big accomplishment for me, as I have not been succesful at losing more that 25# on WISH in the past. I have only gotten there 1x before, and I fell off the wagon. and gained it all back and then some. I can't tell you how excited I am to FINALLY get to put the 30# clippie in my siggie! It's been years in the making.:cheer2: :yay: :dance3: :woohoo:

Can you tell I am happy?!!!!:yay:

You deserve to be happy, you are achieving great things!! You will do great during your tournament too...can't wait to hear all about it. The new clippied looks great! :cool1: :cheer2:

Thanks everyone for allowing me to coach last week, it was a lot of fun. Looking forward to your hosting this week disneychrista.

QOTD - Mexican by a landslide...I have stopped ordering the fried dishes, try to stick with something that comes with a lot of lettuce or order more if I need it and I break the chips into small pieces to make them last longer.

I wondered what that new shining BLING was! :cool1: Congrats, Vija. You are a different person these days, and it IS showing! Weigh to go!

I lost 0.4 pound of my almost 1 pound gain last week. At least it is down, right?? ::yes::

Thanks Tammy, for coaching. I didn't participate much because it is a busy time-home and school for me, but I did read every day....and welcome to disneychrista!

WTG on the loss this week, that is awesome!!!:cool1: :woohoo:

I am down the .5 that I gained last week...I am determined not to see that .5 back on me again!!

I'm down a little bit, but I still can't seem to break the 170 barrier! It's so frustrating. I'm planning on upping my exercise this week because I know I haven't done as much as I could.

QOTD Thursday: What is your favorite day of the week and why?
My favorite day of the week is Wednesday because DH is usually either off or doesn't have to go in to work til 2pm, so we get to spend time together while the kids are at school. We used to go out to breakfast every Wed. morning til I started this challenge!

QOTD Friday: What is your favorite meal/food and how have you made it healthier so it fits into your new way of eating?
Let's see, my favorite is Papa John's pizza, but you can't really make that healthier! I've only had it 3 times since the challenge started! Some of my favorite healthier meals that we make regularly are chicken ceasar wraps (grilled chicken strips, ceasar lite salad kit, shredded cheese in a tortilla), and BBQ made with ground turkey. I did WW enough in the past that we pretty much already had all our home meals tweaked! My problem was all the "extras" I was eating in addition to those meals that I've had to give up to get the weight to start coming off.

Thanks Tammy for being a wonderful coach!:thumbsup2

Welcome disneychrista to coaching this week! :welcome:

THANK YOU to all of you for your congratulations on the new clippie, and good wishes for the tournament. You guys really know how to make a girl smile! :goodvibes

Guess what? After a long time of maintaining, the scale budged, and it moved a lot! I am down 6.5#!!!!! WOW! That was a fun to see! It does feel good once that scale finally went in the downward trend. The perseverence payed off. Anyone else struggling with a plateau, I hear your pain and just want to say, hang on, it will move again.

Friday's Question of the Day:

What is your favorite meal/food and how have you made it healthier, so it fits into your new way of eating?

Well, I LOVE chips and McDonalds. What I did was stop all regualar chips and McDonalds for 100 days, my New Years resolution. I am 1/2 way there! 50 days!  I then started to eat baked chips and they satisfy my crunchy/salty needs. The Mcdonalds has been tougher. I have had a couple of days at Culvers, but for the most part I am just getting used to not going there. I have to extend the 100 days to May 1st, because that is the end of the other Biggest Loser competition I am in. We'll see after that what happens.

After 2 weeks of staying the same I am happy to report a loss of 4 pounds... I am now down 16 pounds and it a new set of number I have been trying to reach. Still a long way to go but I am happy that the scale is now moving down.:cool1: :cool1:

Thanks Tammy for being a wonderful coach!:thumbsup2

What an awesome week you had!!! WTG on the loss, that is such a motivator for me!!!:cheer2: :cheer2:

QOTD Friday: What is your favorite meal/food and how have you made it healthier so it fits into your new way of eating?

My favorite food does not lend itself to being made healthier so I just don't have it, and lo and behold, I have lived without it! We are doing more soups and I have been experimenting with dressings to try and go more low cal and still have something creamy and tasty.

Still stuck on my number but I saw the physical therapist yesterday who is helping me with my plantar fasciitis so I should be able to start some exercising this week. That should help push me off my spot and back into loss mode. I still feel that I can make my goal but it is going to take lots of work to do it.

Congrats Vija on your fab new clippie! And thanks Christa for being our coach this week.

Good luck to all the losers on weigh in today!

Hi guys. I love Fridays the best because it's WI day and the start of the weekend! I don't know what my favorite food is, but I love pizza, pasta, and Mexican. Mexican is rough because they bring those chips! We also have a theater style popcorn machine and I love that. A couple of times I've made myself a 100 calorie bag of Smart Pop and made the good stuff for everyone else. Not the same!

I was down 1.6 today, which is just perfect for me. :) It's been a bit of a challenging week in some ways. Both kids home from school on Monday, the younger one hasn't been in school all week. Fever and fatigue, now coughs and sniffles. He's not THAT sick right now, but the cough does not sound good. I was feverish and fatigued myself on Wednesday and did not feel up to running on Thursday. Not that I did nothing this week, it just didn't go as I'd expected.

QOTD Friday: What is your favorite meal/food and how have you made it healthier so it fits into your new way of eating?

I love ice cream, but Chocolate Ice Cream, especially, is like crack to me. I love it and once I start, it's hard not to go back for another bowl and sometimes even another. I can't really keep it in the house, especially the Edy's slow churned with chocolate flakes or brownies.....OK. Take a deep breath. I can't keep it in the house. I do have McDonald's ice cream once a week. Friday after school is our McDonald's treat day - the kids look forward to it and know that if it's not Friday, we're not getting McDonald's treats. But on Friday, I get a vanilla ice cream cone. It's 3 WW points, portion controlled, and I can't go back to the freezer to get a refill. :rotfl:

Hi everyone!

Down .5 this week. Not bad considering I was up 2 earlier in the week LOL!

Not really sure what to respond to the QOTD. I do like Mexican and have been making healthier fajitas. (Low fat torillas, Tyson chicken breast strips, onions and peppers fried in "pam", low fat cheese and sour cream. Definitely better then going to a Mexican place LOL!)

I haven't run or worked out since the Breast Cancer half Sunday. Going to try to hit the gym and the treadmill this afternoon. Have a Girl Scout event tomorrow that may not be entirely healthy. (The troops are making snacks from international countries) That's kind of my entire plan for the weekend!
