Welcome to the WISH Biggest Loser 7 Challenge

QOTD Wednesday - What are some things that you are thankful for today? You can list one thing or multiple things.

I am thankful that I finally started to take time for me and do something about my weight.

That is a great one!!!:cool1:

QOTD Wednesday - What are some things that you are thankful for today? You can list one thing or multiple things.
That I have lost 16 pounds since I hurt my back. That I'm going to Disneyland soon. That my daughter got a grant for college. That all the cats are healthy. Really thankful for the DIS boards.

I have my phone interview tomorrow with the school in Nasvhille. I wasn't too nervous until I started reading all these threads on the community board about how many schools are laying off teachers. I'm praying it goes well.

I hope your interview went well!

QOTD Wednesday - What are some things that you are thankful for today? You can list one thing or multiple things.

Today I am thankful that the day is almost over. I have a scratchy throat and sinus headache and really want to go home for a hot steamy shower! Today I'm also thankful that I bought groceries yesterday so I don't have to do it today.
And of course, everyday I am thankful for DH and my DD's. Right now, I'm thankful that my 2 DD's get along and that they are excited about starting to share a room, so I might get a library/craft room again :yay:

Tuesday QOTD: What was the last movie you watched?
Well, we tried to go see Paul Blart Mall Cop on Sat. night, but it was sold out and the theater was packed. We ended up renting Birds in America. We thought it would be good because it had Mattew Perry, but it was horrible! To top it off, it was rated R for "brief sexual innuendo" or something like that, and it turned out to border on pornographic! DD12 is probably scarred for life! No more rated R movies for us!

Wednesday QOTD: What are some things you are thankful for today?
1. Tomorrow is payday!
2. We are going to the Doorway to Dreams event tomorrow night! (Unfortunately it's a dessert thing, I'm hoping there's some type of healthy choice!)
3. We are finally getting rid of Comcast this weekend! We are getting Dish Network installed Friday afternoon. (We've been wanting to switch for a long time, and I finally bit the bullet and called.)
4. Everyone in the house is happy and healthy!

I'm hoping I can be good tomorrow. I know we're having pizza for dinner in the car on the way to Schaumburg. I'm going grocery shopping tomorrow, so I need to remember to pick up some apple slices to snack on in the car so I don't overdo it on the bad stuff! Of course it would have to be the night before weigh-in!

I think the interview went well. I find out within a week if I move onto the next round.

I'm just glad today is over. I think I caught whatever stomach virus has laid half my students low, and I'm getting ready to take a nap.

I am thankfull that I switched jobs

I am thankfull for a wonderful, loving husband and 2 healthy children

I am thankfull for romance books!

I am thankfull for the Biggest Loser competition at DH's work. I really needed that kick in the but

I am doing pretty good. I got off of work early and went to the gym to exercise. I spent 2 hours there!:faint: I first did warm up/cardio on the treadmill, then I did a complete round on the weight machines, then I worked on my push up position, crunches, and finished off on working on my TaeKwonDo form for the upcoming competition. I couldn't believe the time went by so fast. Now, I feel like this...:laundy:

Did anyone get the new biggest loser book? I went to our local store and they didn't have it.

Hi everyone -

I just wanted to check back in. I've been down with Bronchitis for 3 weeks. Ended up have to do a series of antibiotics, steroid injections and use an inhaler twice a day. I'm feeling a lot better -so thank you all for the kind words. I was told that steriods will cause a temporary weight gain so I'm trying to just work the program and not beat myself up.

So QOTD:

I am thankful for my health - I've never taken nearly this long to recover from an illness. I will try not to take it for granted anymore.
I am thankful we have health insurance so that I could get the medical care I needed.
I am thankful for my DH & Kids and the fact that my teenager still tells me things and wants to spend time with me.
I am SO Thankful that the economic situation for our family is stable.
I'm thankful that thin mints are only 1 pt each if you don't eat too many.

Good luck with the interview process - I hope things work out for you.

QOTD Wednesday - What are some things that you are thankful for today? You can list one thing or multiple things.

I am thankful for my DH and DS.
I am thankful for my sweet dog and cat who are good companions to us all.
I am thankful that I get to go to both Disneyland and DisneyWorld this year.
I have lots of other reasons to be thankful but those are three that come to mind.
And I would like to be thankful to move out of my maintain mode after three weeks . . . ;)

Good Thursday Morning (I think it is Thursday I thought yesterday was Thursday so what do I know)

njmom take care of yourself. I have taken steroids and they should help.

QOTD
I am thankful that I have a job that for the most part I love

I have a great dh for almost 31 years

I have 2 great ds's who seem to be taking charge of their lives and becoming responsible young men.

Have a great day everyone.

There are so many people sick right now, take care of yourself and try to get in plenty of liquids. You can't control what the meds might do so don't let it get you down. Hope you are back up to full speed real soon!!:cool1:

How is everyone doing? It is Thursday and close to WI day.

I think I may have another week of maintaining if not gaining. I have been in a stall now and I'm ready to break through it. I know I've got to make two changes, lower my calories and up my exercise. So, I say it and know it, now I just have to do it.

I got my FIL back up and running with his computer yesterday so that pressure is off the shoulders, he can do payroll, etc. today. DD is feeling much better after a day of resting yesterday and held down everything she ate, so that is another positive thing going into today.

I have another busy day on schedule but I think of it as this...if I'm busy, my mind isn't on eating;) .

I hope everyone has a great day!!!

QOTD Thursday - What is your favorite day of the week and why?

I have to say mine is Sunday. I love our afternoons when we are spending time together as a family. It is our afternoon to rest and relax which is always needed too.:thumbsup2

QOTD-Sunday - What are 5 things that make you smile??
1. My son's smile after a long day at work
2. disney pictures
3. memories of our wdw trips, and my son's adorable interactions with the characters.
4. puppies
5. babies and happy toddlers

QOTD Monday - If you could hire someone to do one thing for you what would it be??
A housekeeper, for sure. Then I'd have more time to dis.

Here's an easy snack for 4 pts, if anybody gets cravings for fresh chocolate cake.

Microwave Cake in a cup

A microwave safe cup, 12 ounces or around that.
Cooking spray

Ingredients:
2 tablespoons flour
1 &1/2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
2 teaspoons cocoa powder
A pinch of salt
2 tablespoons skim milk
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 teaspoon oil
Spray your cup with cooking spray, just enough to coat the cup. In a bowl(I mixed it in the cup), mix together all your ingredients and stir well. Now pour this batter into your cup.
Put the cup in the microwave and cook it on full power for 60 seconds. Depending on the power of your microwave, and your altitude (go figure) you may have to cook the cake longer. Only cook in additional 15 second intervals, because an overcooked cake is no good, and it's even worse because you're microwaving it.
Once your cake is finished, it should be nice and fluffy. Now to serve it.

Take a plate and a butter knife, and gently turn your cup over, letting the cake slide out of the cup. Guide it with soft presses of the butter knife, and once it's out, set the cup aside to be washed.

*This one doesn't boil up out of the mug.
this sounds awesome

QOTD Monday - If you could hire someone to do one thing for you what would it be??

I would hire someone to clean my venetian blinds! They are always dirty and dusty! And I have them in almost every window!!!!
if they are the plastic kind, someone told me to use the bathroom cleaner scrubbing bubbles type, and put them in the tub, spray them and in a few minutes just rinse them and they come out awesome. I have 12 windows with them, and it is a daunting task, but that makes it easy.

QOTD Tuesday - What was the last movie you watched? It could be at home or at the theater.
Snow buddies last night.
QOTD Wednesday - What are some things that you are thankful for today? You can list one thing or multiple things.
My son; my job and co-workers who always let me leave in time to pick up my son; paid time off which is why I'm just relaxing at the computer with my coffee today; my extended family, though we have our dysfunctionalities(if that's a word), they are awesome and supportive, and i don't know how I would survive without their help.

I have to say mine is Sunday. I love our afternoons when we are spending time together as a family. It is our afternoon to rest and relax which is always needed too.:thumbsup2
Saturday's are my favorite, the work week is over, and we usually just relax in pj's in the morning, and get moving around noon and do something fun.

We are heading up to new hampshire and are going to attempt skiing tomorrow. My son never has, and I haven't skiied in 9 years. I weighed in early, and am up .4, which is great for the week I had. My weekends have been bad, and it continues into the beginning of the week, and then I usually have a couple days where eat real good, and minimize the gain. I am consistently exercising, and that makes a huge difference for me.

Tammy- Thanks for being our coach. I loved your qotd's, and reading all the posts this week. You've had a busy week. That computer problem would absolutely drive me crazy. 3 hours on the phone is insane. I'm glad your daughter is feeling better today.

Have a great, losing weekend everyone!

QOTD Thursday - What is your favorite day of the week and why?

Hang in there, after maintaining for many weeks in a row, the scale finally budged. I can see how it was almost a "test" to see if I would keep going or throw in the towel. The body was just readjusting and now we are in weight loss mode again!

QOTD: Well, for the most part I would say Sat. or Sun. Depends if I am on call, and depends what we have going. Usually one of the days we are busy, and the other is the relaxing day. My favorite is the relaxing day!:thumbsup2

QOTD -- What is your favorite day of the week and why?

Friday! It's the start of the week-end, I get to work in my son's 4th grade class -- someone is always doing or saying something to make me smile -- and even though I might be in the office working, as far as clients are concerned, I am not, so I can get things done before the week-end. I  Fridays!

Thanks, Tammy, for being our coach this week. It is a big job, especially with computer issues to boot!

Have fun skiing...DH took DS last week for the 1st true time and he loved it, hope it is as much fun as you remember.

After I found a wonderful computer place here in town, they determined it wasn't the mother board, was able to repair the machine, installed a new hard drive and had it back to me yesterday. I told them next time something went wrong, I was unplugging the thing and bringing it directly to them. I would never waste the time on the phone again like that, especially since I think they were in a nut shell, trying to get me to purchase a new computer when FIL didn't need it.

Yes, thank you for the reminder...I'm definitly not giving in to the thoughts, I will press through;) .

Thanks everyone, it has been a pleasure this week. I would have liked to have been on a little more during the day but it is the way life goes. I'm just thankful that I was able to get FIL back up and running, have to keep them happy:thumbsup2 .

QOTD Thursday - What is your favorite day of the week and why?
That would have to be Friday. Knowing I have two whole days that I don't have to get up at 4:50 am for work. And Friday is my WW day and even if I haven't had a great week, I still look forward to my meetings.

QOTD Wednesday - What are some things that you are thankful for today? You can list one thing or multiple things
For my DH who I have been with for 25 years.

My Family.

That DH and I were able to take the 15 day Panama Cruise and really thankful for all the wonderful friends that we made that I know will be for a lifetime.

And this one is not great for the eating plan, but Bottomless Mimosa's at Saddle Ranch Chop House. (good thing we don't go very often)

:cool1: :thumbsup2 Today I got my first compliment! I am so happy!:cool1: Someone at work was just passing me by and said "they could tell"!

I also get to change my clippie, I am going to go do that right now! I stepped on the scale today, and I was THRILLED!!!!! Since the beginning of my DH's biggest loser competition I have lost 12#, but overall, from my highest I have lost 30#!!!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

THat is a big accomplishment for me, as I have not been succesful at losing more that 25# on WISH in the past. I have only gotten there 1x before, and I fell off the wagon. and gained it all back and then some. I can't tell you how excited I am to FINALLY get to put the 30# clippie in my siggie! It's been years in the making.:cheer2: :yay: :dance3: :woohoo:

Can you tell I am happy?!!!!:yay:
