Thanks for responding back! I'm participating in an at work group weight loss challenge and I have to weigh in and send in my weight, thank goodness it's BEFORE the cruise! Fully intend to enjoy myself!
Glad to hear confirmation from someone else that this is true. I thought that was the case but DH claims it isn't. Now I have proof
IIRC, the scales are those where you slide the weights across. You have to take the weight with a grain of salt - with the movement of the ship, you can weigh yourself twice in a few minutes and come out with a different weight if there's a lot of movement. I finally gave up and just was careful about my food selections, amount of food, and took the stairs. Wait a day or so after returning before re-weighing yourself as you may gain some water weight that you will lose after you've been back a bit. Only on our first cruise did I actually gain weight. Now we are careful about food, use the stairs and use the gym if we're not doing a lot of walking intensive port excursions and I don't gain anything and sometimes lose a bit.
