Tracey: Whoa, you've had a whirlwind of action in your life. I think I'd look at the mountain of laundry and just go clothes shopping.

I'm so glad you're finding SparkPeople useful, too. I have a question for you--I tend to go a little high on the carbs, as recommended for runners. Sometimes over the range.

And my fiber is consistently higher, as I would expect from my veggie diet. Both make me feel better, although I'm willing to admit it might be psychological. Do you adjust their recommendations for your very active lifestyle as well?
Congrats on your 8.3 miles, especially because you talked yourself into it AND took the hilly route. That's determination. I'm so glad you're doing Girls on the Run again this year. I know how much you value it--as do we all--and I love the stories. I cannot, just cannot, imagine being a young girl in this environment. It was rough enough when I was growing up. They cannot have enough role models and healthy-body images in their lives. In my own life, I'm definitely in need of such things too, so I'll check out Armstrong's blog. (I admit, I don't spend a lot of time at RW. Just read the mag.)
Vicky: WTG with the medicine ball WO. Now, THAT brings back bad junior-high memories.

Is that something you do with/because of your PT? I admire that you can get your menu planning done midweek and shopping on Friday. We shop every day (pedestrian shopping, so I kind of have to do it every day because there's a limit to what I can carry). What it does is create an excuse for me not to plan. I'd happily plan, though, if DOOD cooked. Hah. Like you, I am by nature a microwaver.

to its inventor.
Oh, and you're definitely have scale shock. In a good way. You've been really stepping it up!
Julie: Vicky's post reminded me. Toned arms are sooo sexy.
Amy: Great RR. That whole medal thing is frustrating and you came up with a simple, yet elegant answer to the marathoners choosing the 1/2. (I don't blame them at all, just agree they should get the temporary medals.) I never laugh at the need for a mylar blanket. 50 degrees and rain and wind can be bone-chilling cold!

Plus, at DOOD's first race, it was cold and rainy and windy (Fargo marathon) and he suffered a mild case of hypothermia. We didn't know enough about things then, and he refused a blanket at the finish. So yay for taking care of your body's needs.
Also yay for the no shin pain! That's great news. And I don't think I knew--probably forgot--you were doing the 5K with Delena. That's something to be very, very proud of. Beyond the time, of course. I'm thinking of the Girls on the Run connection. Delena is growing up with an awesome role model in you.
Finally, selfishly, yes, I'm glad you're going into maintenance for a while. Mostly because we can hear more from you.
Beth: That's fabulous! You still lost weight--and kept up with your WOs--on an incredibly stressful week. Double dipping works. I can only imagine how tough those early mornings are, but you've got the results in several areas to show for them. Oh, and didn't I see on your team thread you worked out EVERY day in February? Wowsa!
Chris, Maria, Vic, Julie, Wendy, Mike, Cindy, Jeff, and Stacie (I know you lurk) and other LMers I missed: Hope you're having a great day!
As for me: DOOD's on spring break, so he's using the opportunity to take extra-long WOs. Which means I am, too. It also means he wants to eat out and nosh more, which isn't quite as good news. So this week will be a bit of a mental challenge in the eating area, and I'm glad that I know I'm on track for a solid loss to reinforce my faltering willpower. Planning popcorn and a DVD tonight--delayed from the other day, when I went to bed early.
Today, we went to the gym to run because of the wind chill here. Bleh. I'm still doing SRs and for some reason I find them more intolerable than LRs on the TM?

I think it's because I find LRs to sap my will to dislike anything or to think in general.

Then it was Pilates and some strength training here at home--much more pleasant doing free weights here--before taking my pills! Yay for me! I think it's a 5 star day!
Must sign off for now. DOOD's either giving me the stink eye or his "come hither" look. Hard to tell.
