Hello everybody....
Vic: I'm sorry to hear about your work issues. Hope they subside soon so you can get back to the real stuff of life! Like Nascar discussions.
Jeff: I know this comment belongs on FB, but Mickey straws are great too!
Beth: Lots to catch up on.
1) I made those banana blueberry muffins from Self that you recommended. I haven't had any yet--saving my treat--but DOOD said they were delicious. 2) And I know what you mean by not having time to log things in one more place. I'm finding I much prefer SparkPeople.
3) I didn't realize you were doing a 1/2 next weekend. That's a great price, can't beat it! I'll be interested in hearing how you do, because I think all that XT and core work you've been doing are going to factor in on your race in good ways.
4) Another pound down. Fantastic!
5) In my dream world, DOOD and I have separate bedrooms. I know that strikes people as odd, but we have different sleep patterns and I rest much better without him. Not sure he feels the same way, and we only have 1 bedroom right now, so it's moot.
6) I'm sorry that your 3 miles were miserable, and hope you have a great Pump class to make up for it.
Chris: Can't add the the vroomy-vroomy discussion, but I wanted to say hi!
Vicky: How kind of you to say I've probably done a burpy. I might have attempted it, but I know I never looked so energetic. How slow can I go before it doesn't count as one, because I think of myself as moving in super-slow motion on these kinds of exercises. Like the 6 million dollar man. Except the $.99 version.

I hope you enjoy your run and that the rain holds off for you. Oh, and does your PT approve of this weigh-in?
Cindy: I've had weekends like that, where all my best intentions and plans are derailed by that first tortilla chip. Or M & M. Or brownie. Whatever it is, I understand the disappointment.

But look--you went running over the weekend AND you're back to tracking points. Both are good things and I know you'll think about why you hopped off the wagon (for just a little while, really) and that will help you in the future.
Tracey: First and most important,
I know you're celebrating tomorrow, but I hope today as everything you hope it will be, too!
Remember what I said about not trusting the numbers? That goes for numbers at places like Real Age. I'm always so happy when their numbers tell me things I want to hear, and devastated when they don't. So phooey on them. I'm working--and it's not as easy as I make it sound--on paying attention to my body and how strong I feel. That said, there ARE numbers to celebrate, including your 2 pound loss. That's because it's a number you're shooting for and not some calculation that is a "one size fits all" recommendation.
Wendy: I don't know how often you check in here, but I'm hoping you're feeling better.
Julie: Internet is now up, where are you?
Maria: Oh treatless one, how are you?
Mike: Did you fall victim of the evil HR machine? (Some may call it the elliptical.)
Amy: Did you solve your beer dilemma?
Jeanne: You're back from the Princess--feeling ready to be Lean and Mean?
As for me: Today's run was okay, thanks for the good wishes. Of course, it's gray and rainy, so that's probably why it wasn't as good as last week's. Much better than Saturday's and that's what matters. I also got my pills and pilates in. And because this is the "year of the biceps," I've been working on my push-ups. You're all going to laugh at me, and that's fine, but I'm STILL doing girly push-ups. *Sigh.* But at least I'm doing them, right?
