Week After Turkey Day Shenanigans

I tried to coordinate 2 reservation drops today and neither person was able to pick them up. CRAZY. I did several last fall with no issues and they got them within seconds. I'm thinking that TP ADR finder is to blame, which is good for those using it right?

I did a successful lunch BOG tranfer this week. I was so happy they were able to snag it! :yay:

Well... it's looking like we're going to drop the dining plan upgrade and stick with the quick service plan. We'll still do 3-4 ts meals, but everyone seems to like the idea of having more flexibility with the quick service options rather than rushing off to reservations all the time. And, tbh, we need to find a way to save some money. A room at ASMu came available for our dates today and I was tempted to switch but just couldn't bring myself to do it, so we have to cut from somewhere else. I'm hoping we can still do at least one "extra" thing from this list:
MVMCP
Star Wars dessert party
Early Morning Magic (assuming it's available

That's a tough list to choose from. I'd probably choose MVMCP. It seems like you'd get the most bang for your buck there.

I still can't decide which resorts to stay in either. My wallet says go moderate, but my bucket list says go Poly...

If you can swing poly do it!

However you may never go back to moderate once you go deluxe so that is something to consider for future trips ;)

My 7yo just hit 48", but it won't matter since she won't even ride 7dmt! lol Although, I'm hoping to convince her to try it this time.
We aren't doing any dining plan bc we are staying for a conference and the dining plan isn't available. The hotel rate for the conference more than makes up for not being able to get any dining plan. I have made several TS ADR but try to limit them because they do take so much time out of your day.

We didn't do MVMCP last year bc DD was only 2 and I just couldn't see the cost benefit/sanity of going. I haven't gotten our tickets but really want to go this year.

Also she still is only 36" and not sure she will be tall enough for mine train this year either. lol

Do a split! That's what I'm doing! I actually wanted to do Poly but the location just can't be beat at Beach Club, so I ended up there. I've already been there with work and loved it so it would have been nice to try something new, but I just couldn't pull myself away from the convenience!

Amen to that!
It may be due to the time of day for the exchange.

Maybe it is due to the time of day for the exchange. It still takes TP finder time to find it, send out the notification, said person to log on, search for it and snag it. If the person you were transferring with was already on and waiting it was probably just bad luck. :(

I enjoyed my stay at BC last year, but I think I'm okay with not going back. I wish they had better quick service. I never got to try Hurricane Hanna's because it was always closed by the time I was looking for something. We got really tired of flatbread pizza and Caesar salad. lol It's ridiculous that a deluxe resort has such awful quick service! We did enjoy breakfast at Cape May though, and I liked the lunch we had at Beaches & Cream.

I tried random times and evening too, nada. I felt really bad!

Ok y'all inspired me to measure DS3.5...coming in at 39.25" tall this morning. More milk in his future :D

Is that barefoot or with shoes? My DS is only 38" barefoot. I know he will be stoked to do 7DMT as he could only do barnstormer last year. But still I hope he magically grows so he can do splash mountain etc. Last year he was most bummed about Test Track. Little boys and race cars. He did LOVE tomorrowland speedway though. I know it will be magical no matter what. He is just fearless. Would love for him to ride some big boy rides. Only time will tell.

Good point...it was barefoot!

I do need to do a split stay, since I have a room only for Friday night. I can't decide where to stay for either!

Has anyone eaten at California Grill for dinner during the fireworks? I was able to snag an ADR for 9 on a MVMCP night when the Holiday Wishes Fireworks are scheduled for 930. We will be traveling with a 3 year old thats wild but pretty well behaved. She will LOVE the fireworks. Just curious on everyones thoughts!!

I just tried to coordinate my first reservation drop and it didn't work either. :( I feel awful even though I know there isn't anything I can do.

Yes, not at Christmastime, but during the normal FW. They seated us in the small room that did not have a view of the FW, but timed our dinner order so that we could get up and go into bar area and watch from there. When we returned, they brought our food...great experience, great food....loved everything about it!

We're doing the same thing, but with an earlier reservation, so that we can relax and enjoy our meal and hopefully be just finishing up before the FW start this time.

There is a balcony that all dinner guests can go to right outside the main dining room if they don't have a window table or have an earlier dinner.

9 is kinda late for DD but thought that MAYBE if we show up a little early that we can hopefully get a table and eat before the fireworks. That was the only time that I could get on the 180 day mark.

Yes! I wonder why it isn't working as easily as it used to. What a bummer.
