Week After Turkey Day Shenanigans

We bought memory maker for the first time this visit. We have a group of 13 so I think it will be worth it. I didn't know that I would be the only one who could download the photos though. Guess I will be organizing things after the trip too
We didn't do the Memory Maker last year. We only really had pictures on there from the meet and greets. I ended up buying 3 pictures because they were so much better quality than what I had and ended up spending almost half the cost of the memory maker!! But I also forgot my camera and only had iPhone pics.

Speaking of MM, we've never found it to be that cost effective. We have found that we find more problems with it after we return from our vacation. We just rely on our trusty phones and cameras to do the job.

We have never tried to do anything fancy. Just download the hundreds of photos and enjoy! The ride photos are some of our favorites from our last trip. DD's expression on ToT is priceless!

I need to talk to DH about it for sure - I meant to purchase a few ride photos since it was our kids' first trip but never did. I could never leave my camera home, she's like my 3rd child haha. And DH always plays the "we've spent so much money on photography equipment why would you pay someone else to take pictures" card. Men

We did have a scare last year when half of our photos disappeared. Tech did recover them, though it took days for them to work it out. They could see them on their end, so I had confirmation that they were still there, but it was kind of a frustrating experience. The only trouble we seem to have with Disney is tech related.....

Well, that AK EMH puts a wrench in my plans on the 28th. Hopefully that doesn't increase crowds too much, as we planned for AK that morning. Oh well, we've never actually taken advantage of EMH, so I guess we will just get up extra early!

WIsh they would also update closing hours for AK and HS for our week - and schedule the night time activities...

For some reason that just doesn't bother me at all. All I need to know right now is which park I'll be at on which day. The actual touring plan while we're there will be settled much later. Also, I know AK hours will be extended and there will be a night show. I also am confident there will be fireworks at HS, which means it'll likely be open later than 7 as it is currently scheduled. I guess I'm just not focusing at all on the actual park hours because I know those will change, especially the closing times. I'm so glad they put F! on the schedule though, so we at least know it'll be there (though I never doubted it). Anyway, all in due time... :)

We've gotten MM every year except for this most recent trip. Before it didn't include the ride pictures and we still thought it was worth it. If you want an individual picture that they take it is $15 each so you really don't need to get that many good photos to make the money worth it. When we buy it, we stop at as many of the photographers as possible to make it worth it. We end up taking pictures in spots we never would have thought to stop at. I think one trip we ended up with over 200 pictures just the 2 of us. We would do poses on Space Mountain and ended up with some hilarious pictures. With the Christmas decorations, we definitely think its worth it too to get great shots in front of the castle all lit up :)

Yes, that would be the primary thing we need. I didn't look at the updates calendars yet, but anything else beside AK hours and events, and STar
award at HS is not going to change much in my schedule.

I'm a little late responding but we did not do MM last year. While it was tempting our kids were just too young for it to be worth it. They didn't ride any of the big rides bc they weren't tall enough and I didn't really needs pics of me riding TOT. Haha. Also since we had free dining we did 90% of our character greets at meals. Now if they did photography in those events I would be all over it. However since I was carting my own camera anyway it wasn't much of a deal for us. I did however individually purchase a beautiful shot of my son hugging Minnie in Epcot. It was better than my shots and I had it put on a canvas. Also my little one was a little unsure of the characters last year. Hoping he enjoys it more this year. He was only 12 months last year so it will be a huge difference now. He loves all the characters on tv. Fingers crossed!

Ok I just watched a video of Frozen Ever After and it's pretty adorable. I may need to reconsider our Epcot strategy

I hope the craziness dies down a little by the time we are there. It will be a must for fast pass. I might be the only person who could care less about Soarin, so it won't bother me to miss that. But the boys like Test Track, so we will have to figure out the best time for the least amount of wait there.

we all like soarin and test track, so we need to do those for sure. I think it's going to take 2 mornings at epcot to be able to do all 3 big ones without wasting a ton of time in lines though, which would be a big bummer for the toddler. Blah. Can't wait to see how it all plays out in the next few months before we have to make FP selections!

Yeah, right now we are only planning on afternoon/evening at Epcot after spending the morning in AK. Not planning to use any PF at AK, as our only real goals there are safari, EE, and Lion King with a QS at Flame Tree BBQ, and maybe a character meet or two, then hop over to Epcot. Will be interesting for sure.

I thought my DH and I were the only ones who didn't like Soarin!!! Glad we are not alone.

Did you see that on YouTube? I know with my nieces this will be a must ride no matter what!
