Week After Turkey Day Shenanigans

It was just underwhelming for me. Not a fan of simulation either, especially as I get older. Had to close my eyes on Star Tours last time. Mission Space almost killed me :crazy2:
I have a friend who has always claimed she gets motion sickness, so she always closes her eyes on rides like Soarin' and Mission Space, then feels even worse. I told her to just focus on something else, rather than then screen if that bothers her....look at her hands or feet...that way the brain still can comprehend the balance with the peripheral vision. It's working for her. And now, she is starting to be able to watch more of the screen, and only has to look away when it bothers her. IMPROVEMENT!!! She's really enjoying these kinds of rides now, where before, she only went on them with me cause she didn't want me to be disappointed...silly girl! I knew if she could get past this, she'd like them a lot more.

Try it...might not work for everyone, but it might....

I can't even sit on a swing without feeling sick, but 1 non drowsy Dramamine had me on every ride without any issues. Including star tours and the teacups. Woo!

I know! :worried: I can't believe I just admitted that on a Disney forum!
LOL! That was brave!!!!
It might be from the 2 1/2 hour wait and then the ride just felt very disappointing.
Well, yes. A long wait can have that effect too. If only I could have surveyed those that waited FIVE hours to see FEA today to test that theory. I love Soarin though. Odd because I can't handle dizzy rides, but am fine with thing like that.

Ok I just watched a video of Frozen Ever After and it's pretty adorable. I may need to reconsider our Epcot strategy

Epcot will be the trickiest by far! That is part of the reason we are going to hop there for EMH. We are still waiting to see if DS who we be 4 by the trip is going to be 40 inches or not. I'm guessing not (we are all shorties).

We are waiting to see if our little peanut makes it to 40" too. He's due for a growth spurt!

Let's talk electrical parade and wishes. Last year we watched from Liberty Square parade was great but couldn't see fireworks. Trying to decide where we should try to view from this year. My kiddos can't take staking out a spot for over an hour. What about the Train Depot? I wish they could watch Tinkerbelle fly overhead but I just don't think it's possible to get a spot in that area. Suggestions? Also I'm sure the park will be packed since there are so many party nights and we are going to stay for EMH (just hopping over for parade and fireworks, a few rides). If we did do the depot could we easily ride the train back into the park and not have to fight the outbound traffic down main street?

Train depot will be MOBBED, and I'm not sure they run the train at night. Frontier Land is pretty good for the parade, but the best fireworks views (minus Tinkerbell's flight) is back behind the castle by the entrance to 7Dwarfs. Shhhhh, don't tell anyone...it's a secret!

Thanks so much for the info. We will resume that plan then. We did end up walking to the carousel last year to see the fireworks so we were nearby. I wish we could have the castle as a backdrop as that is how I picture it in my head but it's not worth fighting the crowds. Anyway, Then when everyone has to vacate the park at least we will still be at the attractions! I so appreciate your help!

Try cowboy boots!
She had on some mini high heel shoes last year and just hit the mark for the barnstormer. She was devastated that she couldn't ride mine train. She just kept staring at it on the bridge to BoG and saying I want to ride that one!!

My 7 year old is 48 and 1/8" with tennis shoes right now. Here's hoping we aren't the rare family who gets asked to remove shoes to be measured lol. He is DYING to ride RNRC.

My 2.5 yo is exactly 35". Barnstormer here we come :crazy2:

Well... it's looking like we're going to drop the dining plan upgrade and stick with the quick service plan. We'll still do 3-4 ts meals, but everyone seems to like the idea of having more flexibility with the quick service options rather than rushing off to reservations all the time. And, tbh, we need to find a way to save some money. A room at ASMu came available for our dates today and I was tempted to switch but just couldn't bring myself to do it, so we have to cut from somewhere else. I'm hoping we can still do at least one "extra" thing from this list:
MVMCP
Star Wars dessert party
Early Morning Magic (assuming it's available)

My 7yo just hit 48", but it won't matter since she won't even ride 7dmt! lol Although, I'm hoping to convince her to try it this time.

I think it's crazy that AoA is considered a value at those prices - but I digress...

Not paying for that dining plan upgrade will be a great savings :) How will you decide which ADRs to keep? So tough!
