Weather next week : (

We will be there next week as well. I can take a passing thunderstorm but when we were there last year it rained alot every evening. It was the week after the torrential rain so I was glad for that. I have found the love bugs to be most annoying at the pool. We were in the lazy river at BCV and they kept landing on us! But we will be at Disney so it will all be good!!

Even if you have rain, the rides still operate. The only time the rides shut down is if it's lightening.

I know b/c we rode that Dino/triceratops/spinning ride in AK about 4 times in a row while it rained and everyone else was taking cover. IMO, that's the best time to hit those busy rides, provided you don't have big ADRs soon after.

Don't worry too much yet. I know the stories of last year's May monsoons might be scaring you but that was very rare weather. This forecast hopefully will prove to be an afternoon shower that will thin out the crowds.

We are going to be there the week after, so I am lecturing to myself as much as you--don't pay attention to the forecast but have ponchos available for you and your stroller (if you are traveling with one).

As for the rain...well, FL it can be raining in the back of MK and not the front, it is just the way the weather is there! I wouldn't worry about it. Get some cheap ponchos (from Dollar tree or Walmart) and carry them along in your pocket/bag and be ready for a possible short shower daily. Now is the season of the quick afternoon showers. You will see the storm rolling in, just plan to be somewhere in the next 5-15 mins for when it hits and you will be all set. Have a great time...I know we are ready!!!

Sound advice! :thumbsup2 See you all in the parks!

I live an hour north of Tampa and we have had some very dry weather the past few weeks after an extremely wet (and very cold) winter and early spring. Toward the middle to end of May does begin our rainy season but bery rarely will a day be a total washout. Last May was a different story, but that was very rare and we are definitely in a dry pattern right now.

Be prepared for the worst (a spotty rain shower) and you will probably find that the weather, while HOT right now, will more than likely hold out for you. I would advise everyone to have ponchos handy just in case. We always take them.

Happy Trips Everyone,

Steph

We will be there the 19th so hoping for great weather as well. We live in Montana where it is DRY so with the humidity, we may be wanting a little rainshower. Just repeat this mantra: We are in Disney...We are in Disney...:)

Thanks everyone...and yes, do have the ponchos packed just in case. : )
