"...guess it really IS a 'jungle' out there..."
...The large crowd finally dispursed as we finished up with our fascination of
DaVine and, briefly stopping to purchase drinks, as it had become quite hot with the sun overhead, we manuevered our way towards
Kilimanjaro Safari, where we proceeded to wait almost an hour - decidely our longest queue-line wait throughout our entire trip and quite a difference from the mere 10-minute wait for
Kali River Rapids....
...my DH was feeling a bit like Dian Fosse and, having a sudden renewed interest in our 'distant-cousins', the apes, wanted to venture over to the walking trail, but my feet had other ideas and was having no part of it, so he took the boys to check out the gorillas while I sat to rest my tired tootsies and 'people-watched'. They soon emerged and we were all "AK'ed out" by this time....gee, it'd been almost 16 hours since my DS had played with his X-Box and he was beginning to go through sever 'withdrawal symptoms' ( eerie similar to those of a
typical 13-year-old, but with a tad more 'obnoxiousness' thrown in...). So, we headed for the exit, saying, once again, goodbye to AK and its lovely tree, dedicated to our wonderful furry and feathery friends...
....we went our separate ways here, at the bus depot - my DH and I to DTD and (you guessed it) my DS and David to the room [not much of a 'shocker' THERE...]...
...as you can imagine, DTD was very crowded! You'd think that all these folks would be doing the only RESPECTABLE thing TO do on December 26 - return their unwanted, unfitting, unflattering, incredibly tasteless and decidedly tacky Christmas gifts to all the malls! On second thought, perhaps they were doing just THAT
[ although I can't imagine anyone wanting to return a 'Disney' gift!]:
[...watch out for the WATER!!]
...we visited a few of the shops, of course, stopping at CARD SERVICES to add Disney Points to our Disney Rewards cards, all the while wistfully watching the adorable 3 and 4 year olds getting 'glammed up' and posing in front of the camera....its times like these that make me long for a DD - ALMOST! Before heading back to the DTD bus depot, I made my obligatory 'pit stop' at the Pin Station and, of course, at the Christmas store to purchase yet another Mickey ornament for my collection (refer to Christmas tree pic in 2nd Installment

! )...everything seemed to fall into place as the bus just was pulling up to the curb as we arrived at Station #2....
Time was of the essence as we sat on the cool, air-conditioned bus making its way to the Dolphin, first stopping at the Swan. We needed to remind my DS and David that we had ADR's for WCC at WL, and there would be much travel time needed to assure us of an arrival for our 8PM dinner. Apparently my DS had OTHER ideas - it was as if he was magically transformed into a Disney character of his own. Unfortunately, that character turned out to be STITCH - and NOT in one of his better moods....
