Hello all- coming for 9 days in June...we are considering flying in the night before our Disney stay, to fully utilize the water park option on check in day. How does this work exactly? Do they scan your MB, is there a "pass" that you are given? Assuming Bell services will hold our bags, as I'm certain we won't be getting into our rooms until afternoon. Thanks!

Once you are checked in the pass will just appear in your MDE. We went straight to the water park (did online check in) not knowing. CMs had us pull up our MDE and then showed us the tickets in our ticket section that they scanned. Everyone must be registered in the room to get the waterpark ticket.

You just scan into the water park tapstiles like you do at the regular parks. There’s nothing you have to do. The entitlements are listed in MDE. You’re just not seeing them now because they’re not loaded for 2026 resort stays yet.

If your resort reservation is on your MagicBand, you should be able to get into either Disney water park on that first day of your Disney resort stay.

Magic Bands don’t actually have anything on them. All they do is provide access to your MDE account.

That’s where the water park eligibility info would come in. If the MDE access is in the band, it would otherwise let the folks at the water park know.

Friend, I understand that you want to help, but you repeated a common point of misinformation that tends to confuse a lot of people. There is nothing “on” a MagicBand. You don’t even need one to tap in.

OP’s question was already answered and this just confused the issue unnecessarily.

I have a trip planned for October but don't see my water park tickets on MDE. I just see my AP in the ticket section. Is there something else I can show to get in on checkin day?

yes this is what we did, free pass was on our magic bands, no problem scanning in, and they had towels to use for free

Your free Water Park entitlement (Ticket) will appear in your MDE on your arrival (check-in day) at WDW. It will be listed, and displayed in the same area as your AP.

Are you doing online check-in and heading to TL or stopping by the resort first?

Dave

It will not show up in your MDE until you are checked in, as it is tied directly to your room reservation. They will not show up until check in day. You can show them on your phone, use your MB or room key.
