Oh wow, really? I was there from early morning until around 3 pm and it was really nice in both parks.
Magic Key evenings I suspect. The pictures on Reddit look terrible!

It's half marathon weekend. Would that make a difference in the evening crowds?Reports are that it’s taking between 90 and 120 minutes to get from either the parking garage or lot into Disneyland this evening. Cutting weekend hours was a genius move!
This is common in the evening. We also got dropped off inside instead of our usual which is on the street in front where we can just go to the escalator.
These seems to happen whenever they open sales for MK again.

That's what some folks on Reddit were saying, but knowing that runners get park passes, wouldn't Disney have reduced the number of available MK and general public reservations to make the total a manageable number? It's half marathon weekend. Would that make a difference in the evening crowds?

Some commenters said that it wasn't so bad inside Disneyland, that the big problem was DCA closing at 9:00 and the Esplanade being jammed with people trying to move over to DL with not all the entrance turnstiles being open.
Do you mean park passes for runners included with their race registration? Runners have to buy park tickets separately if they want to go after their race. Before I had an annual pass, I ran a few Disney half marathons where I'd drive down, run and then head home without ever going in the parksThat's what some folks on Reddit were saying, but knowing that runners get park passes, wouldn't Disney have reduced the number of available MK and general public reservations to make the total a manageable number?

The way the comment was worded, I thought it meant that park passes came with race registration. Perhaps the writer meant that many people who've come for the race weekend also purchased tickets to go to DL on Friday night. So Disney wouldn't have even had to adjust reservation allocations to account for them.Do you mean park passes for runners included with their race registration? But you did get to run through the parks, right? Right??Before I had an annual pass, I ran a few Disney half marathons where I'd drive down, run and then head home without ever going in the parks![]()

We are going next Saturday for just one day, and I've been watching wait times, which seem very low during the day.And once again, I was there during the day (left around 3 pm) and didn't find the parks crowded at all.
