We want the Drama so we're bringing the Mama dec 2011 PTR

Bo, you have to actually get on your PTR more than "once in a while" in order to organize it. Just sayin.

:confused:I feel I should organize off the PTR, so when I actually do something on here, it has order and flows well. That being said, it is obvious I never should have been allowed to have a PTR. :sad2::laundy::sad2::surfweb:Geez! They just let anyone have one...that being said, I recognize that I am unfit to continue this PTR in a way to truly honor the mouse, therefore,
I, Bo, being of ridiculous mind and questionable body do hereby bequeath this PTR, lacking in detail, but full of potential, to Ty. Ty being My dearest sister, of equally ridiculous mind but rapidly shrinking body. The force be with you, :cheer2:

Serioulsy? It was bad enough when we were kids but once again I get your hand me downs? What if I want my own PTR? This one is old, I want the newest and coolest PTR, everybody has already seen this one.

Fine, I'll just bedazzle this one, jazz it up a bit and make it more my style.

Well at least you can come back and ad your 2sense to things you guys are going to do and keep your journal up to date!

:lmao:Looking forward to seeing you "bedazzling" your PTR!

Oh my gosh! You ladies are too funny. I followed you over from... I am not sure where from :upsidedow. I am all caught up and hope you don't mind me taggin along. :goodvibes

I have read in my passporter that tickets for MVMCP go on sale around the first of May. That means I am getting closer to being able to make some real plans.

In years past I have always planned MVMCP for a day that I would already be at MK, but then it dawned on me, since I don't buy the park hopper planning the party for an MK day is kind of a waste. So this years plan is to try and do MVMCP on an AK day, that park closes earlier than the others and then I can still go back to the resort for a nap and a freshen up before heading out to MK to get my jingle on. It's kind of like a one day park hopper. I am so smart. All I have to do is wait and see if they are offering MVMCP on my planned AK day, if not then Bo and I will have to do some rethinking and some rejuggling of our park days, now worries though this is all part of the process that makes it fun.

I have friends who go to Disney every other year, they book the trip and go. No ADR's, no park plans. no touring plans, no buckets list. How is that any fun?:confused3

I love the entire planning thing even though it stresses me till my eyes cross and they don't uncross until I step onto Disney property. I love laying awake at night wondering which decade of Pop Century our room will be in.

ADR's stresses me the most, one those are made I am good as gold, all we really want this year is Crystal Palace which I have never had any trouble getting, and Cinderellas Royal table. That is the one that has me stressed. I tried for 3 years to get an ADR there, finally last year I was able to nab one. I really hope I can get one this year. On the day I am allowed to make my ADR's I will actually request that day off work and set my alarm for 30 minutes before they open for calls. I will have the pot of coffee ready and my passporter with all my park days in front of me. At one minute to open I will dial the number and then start counting down from 60, 5, 4, 3, 2...this is when I hit "Call" the phone will ring and hopefully I won't be put on hold for too long.

I remember planning ADR's for my 09 trip. I over slept by 20 minutes and then when I called they said my wait time was 40 minutes, I have free long distance so for 40 minutes I listened to "Clang Clang Clang went the trolley." That stayed in my head for days. It would just start to fade and then something would happen to bring it back, like my husband would be cooking and the pots would clang as he was taking them out of the cuboard, that's all I needed to hear and then "Clang clang clang went the trolley" would start spinning in my head again.

I usually don't mind the music they play when I am on hold, last year I got to listen to there's a great big beautiful tomorrow for about 10 minutes.

At my store we have one of those CD displays and it goes through giving you a taste of each of the CD's like big band music and soothing music, there's this one that plays and each time I hear it it reminds me of the great movie ride at HS.

:lmao:Looking forward to seeing you "bedazzling" your PTR!

It's gonna take me a while to get into the swing of things, I hadn't really planned on doing a PTR this time so my natural PTR flow isn't it it's fullest right now, once I finish my TR that I have going I will be here all the time. YOu might even get sick of me.

Oh my gosh! You ladies are too funny. I followed you over from... I am not sure where from :upsidedow. I am all caught up and hope you don't mind me taggin along. :goodvibes
You and I are reading alot of the same PTR's. It's nice having you come over I would love to have you tag along, the trip is so far away it's great to have people to talk to and help pass the time.

Okay some people keep telling me to keep asking questions so I hope that you are one of them! Is it better to call and make the ADR's rather than giving them to the travel agent (not sure if I can do that though as I am "very controling" according to family) or doing them online? I need to get cracking on some places to chose, I have been watching your TR and a few others for ideas!

What a brilliant idea. If we decide to go to MVMCP... I may have to just copy that! Especially on an AK day where the hours are so short. :thumbsup2

Agreed! How is that any fun!!

Wait... :rotfl: you mean I am NOT the only one who does this?? AND LOVES IT??? My poor dh... he hates how often I think about my plans and how I try and suck him in. Just the other day, he told me.. "really, I am happy to go along with ANYTHING you plan... but you are stressing me out asking me what I think about these things all the time" :rotfl: ANYTHING???? Hmmm :rolleyes1

Yea, copy away. I don't know why I never thought of that before, I guess I'm getting smarter in my old age.

No you're not alone. I make everybody around me sick with Disney, and the sad things is I am already planning another trip before I even leave WDW so it's never ending. The only time they get to escape my constant Disney gibberish is when I am away on a Disney trip.

I hope you get the ADR's you want!!!

Oh gosh, me too. Bo has her heart set on CRT I would hate for her to miss out on that especially since it's her first time going to Disney.

Let's talk in code here now, you will know what I mean.;) I picked up some red bin items today.

I usually call because my internet is so slow, bu tI think even if I had fast internet I would still call, the CM's have always been really helpful and even made great suggestions to me at times, I just like being able to talk to someone who can answer all my questions then send me on my way with a "Have a magical day."

Thank you! Yeah I have fast internet, but I might have to call- I love getting advice to fill up these notebooks with:rotfl:!

I had to work yesterday. Our store hours on any Sunday are is 10-6. Corporate said they wanted to let their employees spend time with their families on Easter so they made the store hours 11-6. Woot woot! yeah! (that was sarcasm)

My Managers and front end sup's were awesome though. They brought in a huge Easter basket filled with candy, they also brought in little baskets and hid them in the store for the employees to find during their shift.

It was a slow day, I rang up maybe 15 people all day. One guy came in for a nose hair trimmer. Any other day I wouldn't give it a second thought, but running out on Easter sunday for a nose hair trimmer just struck me as funny.

Ally and I were the only ones on the front so we talked Disney all day. She has never been and so we plan to do a trip together in the future. This is how I keep the magic of Disney new for me. I seek out people who have never been and then I live Disney through their first timer eyes. I am always excited to bring a newbie to Disney, I was super excited when I brought my Mom but looking back that excitement was shared with also meeting up with my childhood best friend that I had not seen in 25 years, we had lost touch with eachother and then I found her on facebook, so naturally we had to plan our first meet up at Disney world. She liked Disney but was more excited to see me. I don't feel like the Disney magic was lost on her but I could tell she would not be a Disney fanatic. My mother however became the Disney fanatic on that trip and I wish I would have spent a little more time nurturing her Disney development.

So on this trip I will have my newbie sister and my kind of newbie mother. Mom knows what to expect and she is excited for that. Bo doesn't really know what she's in for, she just knows that it's going to be spectacular.

Anyway I have a list of things that I am excited for Bo and I to do at Disney this year. I wi8ll come back and post that list soon, I need to run some errands first.

:confused3 That sucks that you had to work! Oh, yes.... but I am forgetting you didn't have to work a full day. I am sure you relished your hour off.

:rotfl2: A nose hair trimmer? On Easter Sunday... that is funny! :rotfl:

OMG! I think I do this too. Course, I have only been able to rope my mom into going... but I am ALWAYS encouraging people around me to go...and secretly wanting to go with them.

I wish I would have spent a little more time nurturing her Disney development.

:rotfl: I love it. "nurturing her Disney development" If there is such a thing...I think that some of us have an overdeveloped side while others neglected to develop it at all.

those darn errands taking us away from dis.... ;) Hopefully you got your errands ran and are all set to post your list. :goodvibes

Joining in. I'm going to be there same time as yee :)

It stinks that you had to work on Easter! I did too (I had to help DH with the brakes), but at least your boss gave you a baskets! Mine gave me the key to pick up something for him to eat! And a whole hour off? They are VERY generous:lmao:!
