We want the Drama so we're bringing the Mama dec 2011 PTR

I was so proud of Bo that day, she handled that limey hiest like a pro, I wouldn't be surprised if she ran back there for a few solo Limey hiests, actually Bo, you should take Mom with you, just incase they catch on to you, Mom could never run as fast as you, they'll focus on her while you make your clean get away, hopefully they won't be able to maker her talk. I doubt she would rat you out.

Really??? "hopefully they won't be able to make her talk?" the trick is to get her to stop! :rotfl2:but while she's telling them tales of our childhood...I could make a clean getaway. it would be just like mom to sacrifice her own freedom for mine...ours...naturally we'll bust her out for Disney!

Really??? "hopefully they won't be able to make her talk?" the trick is to get her to stop!
I totally quoted this and posted a few days ago, where did it go?:confused

The thing is Mom gets our names wrong all the time, she goes down the list of all the names of her girls until she gets it right, um Bo, no I mean Lola oh shoot I mean Ty."
so you might get out of there still with no talk about you and then again she might turn in Lola who is clueless to everything about the limey hiests.

So....I did not fall off the face of the earth, although there are days I wish that were possible...."STOP the world! I want to get off!" That being said, Ty and I were discussing disney earlier, naturally, what else would we discuss? it occurred to us there could be a glitch in our plans to vacation at the happiest place on earth. I know! how could this be possible? I won't bore you with the gorey details ... but I will tell you Ty has come up with a brilliant plan. It's called "operation waverly" look for it on our trip report coming to a computer near you December 2011.
I saw that kermit has a spot outside the chinese theater...you can bet your buckles I'll be all over that! I love, love, love Kermit. I love frogs in general, but Kermit was my first love. completely platonic of course. (does saying that make it less believable? hmmm.)
I think I need a bigger suitcase! (ooohhhh...random thoughts, ouch!
I was working last weekend, have the grandbabies this weekend...doubt I'll get much more disney stuff done.

So....I did not fall off the face of the earth, although there are days I wish that were possible...."STOP the world! I want to get off!"
Once the ride is in motion there is no stopping it. Please keep all arms inside the ride vehicle at all times.

It's brilliant, we might need to video that and youtube it.:lmao: "Operation Waverly." I'm so brilliant I sometimes scare myself.:rolleyes1

Kiss them babies for me and squeeze them till their eyes bulge, well not really, just huggem good for me.

Bo has always had a flare for dramatics. Fun dramatics, like operation Waverly. Yes it was my idea to do this, but Bo gave it the name. Everything has a name or code or something with Bo.

One year I needed her to pick up my kids from their Bio Dads in Mi. I couldn't get there early enough in order to get them from Cheboygan (coming from Pa) and still make it to my Dads suprise party on time, so Bo made the 6 hour round trip drive for me. I got a phone call from her that morning. "The puppies are in the pen, I repeat the puppies are in the pen."

I was like "Whaaaat?"

"I have your kids."

"Oooooh."

Then there was the time I was to pick up a Kermit shirt for her, the thing was they only had 2 left when I told her about it and it would be a few days before I could make it back to that store. It was a cute shirt too, Kermit wearing glasses. So of course Bo named it operation "green" or something like that. On the big day I called her.

Ty: "Commencing with operation Green."

Bo: "God Speed."

The tension was high as I crossed over into enemey lines, it wasn't easy finding the green man, I had to wade through racks and racks of clearance merchandise then.....

Ty: "The geek is wearing the glasses, I repeat, the geek is wearing the glasses."

Bo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Never a dull moment with Bo as my sister. I wonder how many missions we will find ourselves on while at Disney.

Now onto my Disney planning. Of course operation Waverly has been added, I have lots of work to do there in order for that to be successful, I will admit the backfire rate on this particular mission is very high but I am up for the challenge.

I have been scouring the codes and discount forum weekly but I don't expect anything to be released until July, that's if Disney even decides to put something out for the general public, I am hoping for free dining, just because I got it the past 2 years doesn't mean I am guaranteed to have it this year, with that in mind I have started a list of snacks I will bring from home to help keep the food costs down at Disney, I have also been going over the menus and trying to come up with a meal budget. My problem is it all looks so good, I want it all.

I have shirt ideas going through my head, I painted alot of shirts for my last trip, I'm not sure if I want to do that again or if I just want to do maybe one for the Christmas party, I've been talking with BO about that.

I have made my list of things I need to get for the trip, like a park bag and new crocs, I love my black wooly crocs but they make a squeak noise when I walk now. They are still good shoes, just loud. So the question is do I buy another black pair, black goes with everything or should I get a brown pair now?

And last for right now but certainly not least in anyway, Bo and I have been discussing a crazy day, a no holds barred type day. We have a few ideas, one of them is to dress funky or wear wigs or something, I would appreciate any feedback, ideas here are always welcomed. I am sure once we come up with an idea Bo will give it a code name.

I'm subbing in! Coming back to read it later tonight when the kid gets to bedpopcorn::!

Hey I came back and to read and just finished- yeah my 6 year old thinks that Friday means no bedtime all of a sudden? Don't know where he got that from (DH), but I will break it!
Anyway, you guys are so funny! And I love that you have it all planned! We are going in Dec. too (18-23). I have been planning it and trying to ask for tips so people that have been there start mumbling things like remember to bring snacks because it's allowed, wear comfy shoes and simple stuff like that...I mean they all know me and I'm a planner! Then they ask when we are leaving (a real quote from a soccer mom at practice "Your not going until December and you made me think of things now?") REALLY she's been there I haven't she should know!!!!
But I'm going to be coming here to help keep me organized- I'm a planner, but I'm a planner like Ty- lots of messy craziness that only looks organized to the trained eye that way no one else knows what we have up our sleeve!
I actually need Ty in my home with DH for an hour- I keep getting things like does DS really need an autograph book? Do we really have to eat at the parks? And so on! I am sure though that you might have met your match with him!
But this is great! I am a little curious though on some things... how do you know when Fantasmic is? And going on last years EMH and times is that usually accurate or semi accurate?:confused3 It's our first time so I hope that Ty writes all she knows and Bo adds all she's researched! popcorn::

Oh no! Don't ask non-dissers tips for WDW. You'll usually end up with a similar comment. I mentioned to a girl the other day that I was so excited my ADR day was coming up. She asked when I was going and then looked at me like I was insane for the rest of the day.:rotfl:

I mentioned that we were planning a trip to a guest in my line at work a few weeks ago and she started lecturing me and insisting that we needed to buy 10 day non-expiring park hoppers because they own a vacation home down there and that's what they do so they can use the leftover days next time. People on disboards understand that everyone tours in different ways and not every tip works for every person.

You'll have to wait for December hours to be released to be sure of Fantasmic!. October was just release a few weeks ago.

Thanks for coming over and reading.

I am totally with you when it comes to early planning. Yes I may seem a little unorganized....to other people but there is a method to plan, eventually the scribbled numbers on a crumbled up piece of paper will make it into my planning binder but for right now it's where I need it to be.

I remember my very first trip to WDW, it was in April of 06, my DH and 2 kids. I didn't know any better and didn't make hard core plans, I jotted points of interest down but that was it, I had the DDP but didn't use all my TS credits, I thought I could make ADR's while I was down there, I did have a few before I went and I only made them because the birnbaum book said it would be a good idea and that was at like 30ish days out. I wished I had known then what I know now.

My 2nd, 3rd and 4th trips though there was no stopping me.

Your question about Fantasmic...I am going boy last years calendar, I've done it that way in the past, it's not 100% accurate, I have had to tweak things before when the times were released for my actual dates. But if I have a Disney trip in the works I have got to be planning the whole time, I don't have the patience to wait for the park hours and extras to be released:lmao:
I at least this way have a tentative idea of what I'm going to be doing and when.

Yes! your DS really needs an autograph book, you can tell your DH I said so!;) We didn't do autographs our first time, and by we I mean me, I really regretted it so I made it a priority my 2nd time, I had several different colors of 4x6 paper and a small clipboard, each time I would see a character I would pull out a piece that color coordinated with the character for them to sign, then I would put that autograph in the back of the stack. I am a scrapbooker, so once I got home I already had their signature on pretty paper and then I would add my pic with the character on another sheet of paper, so basically I had the signature with the picture all in a 7x7 album. I will try and post a few pictures for you later so you can see what I'm talking about.

I love when people come through my line and we can talk Disney, usually it's somebody paying with a Disney Visa and that's the ice breaker. "OOOh:goodvibes Disney, saving up points? Do you have a trip planned? Awesome, where are you staying?" I have met a few Diser's too, noby that knew of me though, but we did have some favorite TR authors in common and we discussed their TR. :lmao: one of my asscociates thought we wee discussing a book we had both read about Disney, I had to tell her no just discussing somebodys disney trip, talk about getting wierd looks,
 "People actually write about their vacations and worse yet, you actually read it?"

You'll have to wait for December hours to be released to be sure of Fantasmic!. October was just release a few weeks ago.

I am waiting for Decembers release, then the super duper really awesome planning can start, I can switch for my pencil for a pen and make things a little more permanent.

Especially because I am CONSTANTLY changing what we (meaning I) really want to do!

Yeah I like your idea, I was thinking of a real autograph book- but I love the idea of having the autograph with the picture! Some people have the characters sign a print out paper of with the characters picture on it, but how do you know which ones you will see? :confused3 So I might do your idea!

I am waiting for Decembers release, then the super duper really awesome planning can start, I can switch for my pencil for a pen and make things a little more permanent.
Oh goody, so maybe I will do this then!

By the way, you ladies are so funny, I can't wait for more!

thank you, it's be nice if Bo ever got on here and posted some though. This is really her PTR and I am doing all the work.

Do you hear that Bo, slacker! I am doing all the work. I suppose you'e going to want me to carry you on my shoulders at Disney World too;)
just kidding, you know I love you, come back soon, I miss you, even though I talk to you every day on the phone, I still need you here too.

So anyway, here's a page from of my autograph album, it's a 7x7.
scrap002.jpg

I wanted to have a premade page for each character but like you said, you don't know if you'll even see them so that's why I just brought colored card stock, it worked out great in the end.

Thank you! I like it! I think I will borrow your idea! And it turned out really good too!

PS- Bo I hope that you are feeling well and everything is fine!

Hey, hey! I am right here and can totally hear you! and so you know, if you offered to carry me, I would most certainly take you up on it.

I like your autograph book, the picture really helped, one thing I learned, through my research, is that the characters prefer the big fat markers. it is easier for them to sign with them.
Have been going through my packing list...having a master list helps, what to buy, what to pack, how many to pack...and WHEN to pack it...some stuff you need right up til the last minute! Crazy, I go through it in my mind before I go to bed, like a check off list.
Because this is also my first trip I don't feel I have any real words of wisdom, It's best to rely on Ty for that, but I do have an unending source of enthusiasm, random disney thoughts, and a willingness to try! I love, love love to laugh, the kinda laugh that makes your eyes water and your belly hurt.
I'm hoping to check out some behind the scenes type stuff while we there, the gardens, and how disney is going green especially. TY agreed to go with me. She's a good egg, not sure if the mama will want to go...s'pose it depends on the weather. That being said I feel a little guilty that I told Ty there was no way I was standing with her in a 2 hour line for some teen stars autograph. (I am such a stinker...I"ll wait with you Ty) we'll see if she reads that.eeeewwww, I shoulda put that in "fine print"

Bo, have you found your bag yet that you are planning to use in WDW?

I have not purchased one yet but I have found a really cute one at a outdoor store. I think it is called Mountain Co. It's probably just a Canadian store though :) Bag looks a lot like the one you were looking for though. :goodvibes

Sure borrow away, I borrowed the idea of just bringing card stock for the characters to sign from somebody else on the Dis.

Bo is just fine, she's playing in her garden.:goodvibes

Uuummm no! I probably will not offer to carry you at Disney, I'm not as nice as I used to be;). Remember when we were stuck in that line for 2 hours on black friday and I told you that should I parish first you could eat my flesh for nourishment? Those days are over, partly because you don't eat meat now...duh, but mostly because I have gotten stingy in my old age, however should I find a tic tac in my pocket and we are both on the brink of starvation I will over to split it with you.

Have I ever shown you my autograph book from Disney? I thought I used it to entice you once.

Yea I agree the big fat sharpies are the best, the ones that click open and closed that way you don't have to deal with lids. If you ever look close at Mickeys gloves their's ink stains on them, at least the mickey I saw did, I saw him twice too, once he was dressed up for Christmas, the other was just his every day clothes.

I have a small suitcase that I toss things for the trip into through out my whole planning season, travel shampoo, bodywash etc...etc... of course come the actual packing time I have like 10 bottles of everything and have to narrow it down for the trip but at least alot of the stuff is all in one place. I ave quite a little collection of Disney doodads just waiting for repacking.

I did buy the baggalinni, but am not opposed to looking for more, that's a great idea to look at outdoor world and what not.

I'm on the phone with TY, she says "hi guys" we're discussing our wardrobe. she just told me about "jeggings!" WTH? I am not wearing jeggings!:headache: she better not wear them either. she can wear the skinny jeans, I can not, I need the boot cut.lol, now she's telling me about her disney extreme exercise regime...sounds good, if yall are there in december look for the girls lunge walking up to the castle, seriously though, I do need to increase my endurance.
I feel the need to organize my "pre trip report" maybe a rough draft to work from...this skipping all over the place is driving me insane. this is why I organize.
