We took Pal Mickey to the Magic Kingdom.......

This message is for Vellamint. Hi Diane, it's me Gina. I can't believe I seen you on these boards. (Great pictures!) Hope all is well. Say Hi to Rudy.

Renting Pal Mickey now is really hard for my fiance & I to understand. We were going to rent one before we bought ours, but they said it was a $50 deposit which you get back, & $8 per day, with one catch. He has to be back BY NOON... I really hope they don't plan to keep it this way for rentals!

It cost about 50.00 to buy, you leave the deposit then when its returned they deduct the rental fee from the deposit, if you decide to buy you can just keep it.

Funhouse8...Okay now you know my little secret...that I am obsessed with WDW....Say hello to the family!!!!

You return him at noon on the day AFTER you rent him. Mine went all around Epcot, then went to PI with me for the night and got returned the next day.

When he giggles, you're supposed to squeeze his hand and he'll tell you a story. It's hard to hear him unless you sit him up on your shoulder. If there are others in the group who want to hear his story, squeeze his hand again and he'll repeat it. If you squeeze his hand when he hasn't giggled, he'll tell a terrible joke (all his jokes were pretty bad).

That is how it was for me too. When you rent him, you rent him for 24 hours. Actually if you rent him first thing in the morning, you get him for over 24 hours.

You are charged the $50 deposit and your rental is taken from the deposit once you return him. If you actually decide to rent him for more than one day, the number of days you rent him will be deducted.

We took him to MK and found that the clip would slide off if you bent over. So we actually switched it around. We hooked the actually clip part on Mickey and where it just slides on to our fanny pack. That way Mickey didn't fall off as easy. The slide part was snug enough to stay put on a fanny pack strap.

We too found that he was hard to hear at times. But we did enjoy him. Since my DD is 16, we decided against purchasing. My DH had considered it originally, but changed his mind, especially after listening to the jokes all day. :p At one point he threatened to send him in to a lagoon for a swimming lesson.

Pal Mickey sounds really neat and we are definitely going to rent one when we go in August!! I just know my kids will love this!! :)

Diane, I can't tell you how excited I was to see your picture. You see I too am obsessed with Disney and my family thinks I'm nuts. It was nice to see I am in good company. I won't tell anyone, if you don't. Gina
P.s. I guess our addiction could be worst.
