We Invite You to Relax as the Dining Room Proudly Presents a TR! *The End 12/24 Pg44*

Oh LL, you will do great in clinical! What type of program are you doing? Are you doing nursing courses, med tech? I know you are in school, but I didn't know what for.

Everyone is really nervous when they start any type of clinical rotation. Being nervous helps you think and learn better. And practice. Practice taking BP's on Marc.

Any questions....please feel free to ask! Good Luck!

Hey Leslie!

I'm FINALLY caught up! :woohoo:

I only went through the chapter links, so I'm not up to speed with comments and banter and such, but I wanted you to know I'm reading.

:flower3:

No worries!!! You are going to do great with your clinicals!!! No doubts about that!

Not to worry Leslie! Good luck with everything. We'll all be here ready and waiting for another update when you get the chance :goodvibes

I just read your last update - it sounds like a wonderful finish to the day at AK and yummy food and swimming! How sweet of Marc to go to DTD for you both! :cutie:

Henry is of age where he might be terrorized by It's Tough to Be A Bug and I still find your game hilarious! :lmao:

Best of luck with the clinicals! I hope you enjoy it all, I know you'll do great!

I completely understand, LL! How exciting that you bought scrubs, a blood pressure cuff, and a stethoscope!!! Will we get to see the scrubs you bought? Do you feel all "Grey's Anatomy" in them?

LOL! Love this comment CP!! I wonder what LL will do if she comes across a "crabby" patient. Probably give them a "Pffft"!

You take your time LL, we all seem to go through the DIS-posting snags!

Good luck with Clinicals!!
Thank you!

No worries, we'll wait for you! :goodvibes Hope things settle down for you soon......

Best of everything to you in all of your classes. We're proud of your goals and of every accomplishment along the way to getting there.
Thank you. I have a tentative date for my last class, May 19th then add the 160 hour internship and hopefully I will be done by mid July. WOO HOO!

Best of luck with your clinicals. I am sure you will do wonderfully. Looking forward to reading more when you have time to post again.
Thank you!!

Love your trip report!

I am a fellow 'bandster' got mine in November 2008. I've been to Disney two times since I got it, I can totally relate to your 'stuck' episodes. Can't wait to read about the rest of your trip!
Bandsters Unite! :lmao: Thanks for reading along!

Hey Leslie! Good luck with your clinicals. Don't worry about the TR - we will wait patiently for you to have time. Patiently, but anxiously!
I am going to try to do an update this afternoon. *Fingers crossed*

Leslie, I'm so super excited for you to take the next steps with your training!! I think you will really love it, and can't wait for you to come back and tell us how it is going!
I hope I love it. I'm nervous but I think it's because I'm just in a funk where school in concerned.

I am going for Clinical Medical Assisting. I'm nervous. I'm sure I will do fine but I'm in panic mode lately. I'm just in the Clinical classes to start, 5 more classes and then the internship.

Thanks!! Glad you have caught up!

But are they Disney scrubs? ;)

Good luck, hon!
If you can't believe it...no Disney scrubs. They Disney styles were just not fitting right! Boo!! Oh well, I'm sure there will be Disney scrubs in my future!

I'm glad you find my game funny, I was afraid I would come off very mean. :rotfl2:

I will have to do Pffffts inside my head I think!! :lmao:

My computer at home is pretty much D-E-A-D. Bah! Stupid old computer. We really need to invest in a new one but we've been focusing on paying debts off so it will have to wait a bit. Thanks for having patience with me in my slow updates!

Friday September 10th.

Before we had fallen asleep we had decided that today was going to be a pool day. Yayaya! I was very much looking forward to just relaxing! What this means for you though is a very boring update. :lmao:

If I remember correctly, we didn't sleep in too much. Once I wake up, I'm awake and ready to get the show on the road. Which explains why I've been studying at 6:30AM on the weekends the last few weeks.

We got dressed and headed to the main Ol' Man River pool. We found a table, in the shade. I must be in the shade, I am not a sun worshipper. Once we were settled at our table, I decided to walk around and take some pictures.

While I was walking, I ran into Leisa, Maroo & LeeAnn again! I sat with them for a bit and chatted. It was very nice, except for the creepy birds stalking our table! Eeek!

We parted ways and I figured that I should really get back to Marc. I had been gone for over 30 minutes and I had left our table by saying, "I'm just going to get some shots of the pool". Oops.

Our hidden table.

Marc was reading and didn't seem too concerned with my long walk. If you look closely in the picture above you can see his head peeking out and his little bald spot. Shhhh, don't tell him I said that. ;)

I was "patiently" waiting for the pool bar to open at 11 but it was taking forever. I had plans to drink my lunch! We read, we swam, we switched tables because there was a lot of slide traffic near our table.

FINALLY the bar was open!

Hello my lovely.

I know we must have eaten something for lunch but I have no pictures of it. Hmmm. I think I went to the gift shop and bought some snacky things and that is what we ate. I must have thought they weren't interesting enough to take pictures of.

We had a great time just relaxing by the pool but I was ready for a nap. We packed up and headed back to the room. Our room hadn't been cleaned yet, no biggie. I took a shower and then while Marc was taking a shower I spotted the lady. She did a quick bed making and repleneshed our coffee supplies for Marc. I had just asked her for the coffee supplies by her cart but she insisted in coming in and making our beds fresh for us. She assured me I would sleep better if she did. She was really nice and we chatted while she made the beds though I felt guilty just sitting there!

Soon enough, it was nap time. I think we slept for about 90 minutes. It was wonderful!

We woke up and headed to Downtown Disney. We were lucky enough to board the slowest boat EVER. Our captain was an older lady, and she drove that boat so freaking slow! She also was very chatty. She didn't stop talking the entire way. We were both over our captain lady. She was very by the book and snapped at the other captains on the docks if they were not doing things right. Finally after the longest boat ride ever we arrived at DTD.

We had a reservation at Fulton's. We had made this last minute because I knew they had soup, so we thought it would be a good meal.

WRONG.

While the food was good, I got so miserably stuck on the stupid crackers and dip that I couldn't eat anything.

Evil Crackers.

I eat crackers all the time at home but for some reason I was stuck on these ones. That is the most frustrating thing about the band, really.

Crab & Lobster Bisque.

This wasn't good. It was too much like tomato and I wasn't expecting that from the description.

I will admit. I lost it at Fulton's. I was pissed that we were spending money on food that I couldn't eat. I was sick twice and I was just over the WHOLE food thing.

Bread & Pomegranate Lemonade.

We also had orderd the conch fritters.
DSC00604.jpg

These were delicious! Of course we didn't eat them until we were back in the room because I made us leave because I was so miserable. All my relaxing from the day had been ruined by the stress of dinner.

I don't honestly know if I would go back to Fulton's. Their menu offerings are just okay. I love me some seafood but I think I can get better at home but then again...I didn't eat a whole lot either. So take that recommendation how you will.

We walked around DTD for a bit...or I should say, I stomped around DTD while Marc walked. We found Haunted Mansion Life so we bought that, which brought me a little out of my funk.

With our dismal dinner and just conch fritters for later we decided to get some food to go from you guessed it...Wolfgang Puck Express. Marc had to convince me to get food. I was just going to skip eating dinner but he insisted I get something since we hadn't had a real meal all day. Marc got the alfredo and I got the roast chicken and mashed potatoes. Luckily by the time we got back to the room, I was able to eat. I think the more I get worked up about being sick, the less I can eat until I chill.

It wasn't an exciting day but it was a good day and just what we needed...minus the whole dinner thing.

Coming up...
A Very Early Rope Drop.

I love pool days!! :goodvibes Especially when frozen drinks make an appearance ;)
Okay what was with your old lady captain and your longest boat ride ever?!! :sail: And then she was correcting the others on the docks? Ughhhh Imagine how they all must feel to work with her every day :sad2:
Sorry your food at Fulton's wasn't that great....the soup did look kind of eh but the fritters looked good...I haven't had those in ages!!
Glad you were able to take a nice nap and bounce back after the not so fun afternoon  Cute that your mousekeeper wanted to make your bed so that you would sleep better :) That is one thing you don't get with DVC is the mousekeeping but I don't miss it....

Tracy

Speaking of long boat rides.....let me tell you a story. We were staying at the Poly and the plan was to go back to the resort and watch Wishes from our room balcony since we had a Theme Park view. Well, wouldn't you know it we got the WORST boat driver of life. He took his sweet time from MK to GF then to Poly. I could've killed him. First we stopped at GF to let off some passengers. Then, because he took so long untying the darn boat, the electrical water pageant was going through and he couldn't move the boat. I literally had 5 minutes before the fireworks started!!! And we had left with 30 minutes to spare!!! Finally after white knuckling the whole ride, we disembarked just as the fireworks were starting. I swear it was like my worst nightmare coming true. I SPRINTED to our room to catch the last few minutes of Wishes. My mom couldn't run so Bubba stayed behind to walk with her. Since it was nighttime, my mom got confused and couldn't find our room. They of course eventually found the room but it was a terrible situation. All because of that stupid boat captain!!!!

Loving your panoramic shots! Wish we had a collection of all resorts and rides, how cool would that be?! Now that should be a new goal.:thumbsup2

Is that a pina colada and strawberry blend? If so, amazing! My fav is at rainforest, instead of using a pina colada and putting the strawberry puree in the bottom, its a strawberry daquiri but made with malibu coconut rum..so good!!

I'm so sorry about your bad meals! Well...good meals, but bad timing with your band, I so so SO hope they go much better on your trip with jen, now that you've had more practice at what to stay away from!

A pool day is the perfect way to take a break from the parks!
POR's pool looks so relaxing. Definitely want to stay there one day.

I agree with you, LL... WHY do they wait 'til 11am to open the bar?? It's vacation. Pina coladas at 10am are perfectly reasonable!

So sorry you didn't have a great Fulton's experience.

Your pool pics look lovely - what a nice atmosphere - and so uncrowded!!

Great relaxing update!! Glad you had such a great morning just enjoying the pool and taking time to just stop and smell the roses!!! YAY!!! Frozen drinks look good!!!

UGHHH to eating problems....I can see how that could easily ruin a day quickly! Glad you were able to get some food later and enjoy it!!!!!

YAY for Haunted Mansion life...the game you will be buying me in January!! ;)

Can't wait for another update!

Nice update LL. Well, all except for the evil crackers. Ughhhhh I can just feel your frustration on the eating thing. Especially the fact that you are spending a lot of money to eat a nice meal and then you can't eat. That has got to be frustrating beyond belief.

You got some really lovely pictures of the pool and I'm so glad you had a nice pool day. That drink looked delish. And here's to a nice afternoon nap. It all sounds great!

I hope your clinicals are going well!

I'm glad you enjoyed your time at the pool on Ol' Man Island. Sounds like a nice, relaxing time was had. So sorry to hear about your experience at Fulton's. :sad1:
