I am so aggravated right now. We parked our stroller and came back after a 30 min break and it was gone. We looked all over the park for yhree hours thinking that a cast member maybe moved it. Nope. We even stayed until ten mins after midnight and did our own sweep of the park looking for our stroller and it's gone. I'm thankful that I had our wallets and tickets with me, but all of our jackets were in the stroller. I'm really upset about it. I know it's just a stroller, but it still ticks me off. Beware watch your belongings at the parks.

So sorry that happened to you. Unfortunately, stroller/diaper bag theft is a very real problem in the parks. Your warning is a very good reminder to everyone to keep a close eye on your belongings and to keep all valuables with you. Were you able to report this to security and the police?

I reported it to two security guards and they both assured me that my stroller was definitely in the park somewhere and someone had not taken it because that doesn't happen at Disney. It was really aggravating because he wasn't taking me seriously . I knew it wasn't anywhere in the area or in the park for that matter as I has searched for several hours for it

Please report this to DLR security officially -- you can go to City Hall to start -- and file a police report, too. This is important -- theft at DLR is real and shouldn't be ignored. A friend of ours, who happens to be a police officer, had his stroller stolen at DL. It was later found, in possession of the thief, who was in the process of loading said stroller with stolen diaper bags. While DLR isn't exactly crime ridden, theft like this isn't rare (there are "guests" who visit the parks with nothing but the intention to steal what they can and get out quickly -- this is from the security officers who helped our friend). All thefts at DLR need to be reported so that security and management can know what's going on.

I will in the morning. They told us they couldn't do anything until morning bevaube they round up all the forgotten strollers at night and then we could be sure ours was missing. This just really sucks and I feel like security was just yeah, yeah, ok and blowing me off. My best hope is that someone grabbed it thinking it was theirs and just stuck it somewhere when they realized it wasn't.

That is not true. Read it on the WDW boards when someone left valuable merchandise which was just purchased in the stroller. Makes me so sick when I read these posts. A reminder to all to not leave anything valuable in a stroller. Can't believe the security guard said "that it doesn't happen at Disney".o_O>:(

A good reason to use one of the rental strollers. The only time I 'lost' a stroller it was a rental and they simply gave me another one. I know they aren't the 'best', but better than having to buy a new stroller (which you'll probably have to do now anyway).

That's terrible. I'd be very unhappy with that response as well.

Um what?! Yes that does happen at Disneyland! I've seen many stories and know people personally who have had their strollers stolen!

Sorry about your stroller! I really hope you find it, and the jackets that were left in them! Please make sure you report it! Hopefully it was a mixup and someone grabbed the wrong one and brings it back (I've heard of that happening too).

What color/type of stroller and any sort of identifying marks on it that would make it stand out? We will be at DCA today and would be willing to keep an eye out for you. I know that it might not do much, but I’m more than happy to help out anyway I can. Sorry you had to deal with this :(

If it had been a scooter, then that would have been my MIL stealing somebody else's Deckerts scooter on Sunday around lunch time near the Blue Bayou. It was an accident, but my MIL wasn't paying attention and didn't look to see that the number on the scooter she was taking was the same as the one that was issued to her. So the person whose scooter she took was apparently in tears and looking all over New Orleans Square for it. Deckerts called MIL and they sorted it out and arranged for MIL & the other person to meet up so MIL could give that person their scooter back.

It was pretty horrible. My MIL thought it was funny. DH, kids, & I gave her an earful.

I'm so sorry about your stroller. That really really sucks! Strollers aren't cheap!

Thank you. We are heading to DCA today also, as soon as I can get everyone up and going. My stroller is a Chicco. It is grey with teal lining and lime green on the sides. Thanks for keeping a look out .that is very kind of you.

Sorry to hear that. We've been going since 1990 to both DLR and WDW and used strollers with 3 kids and never had anything stolen. It takes a lot of chutzpah to steal a stroller knowing that there are cameras all over the place.

Here's a few tricks. First, use old strollers. Now, I know that may not be possible if it's your first kid. But by our third kid, we were still using the same stroller. Second, litter that baby with napkins, straws, old sippie cups in the top cupholders, and other junk. Even thieves won't touch it!

Ugh, saying it doesn't happen at Disney is utter bull.
Have you checked the local CraigsList to see if it's up there already?

Too late now but hiding one of the Tile trackers is a helpful thing, but won't help you now but might help somebody else.

I’m 100% sure he was taking you seriously. I also know that probably statistically most of the guests they encounter in a day who lose their stroller are going to find it again. A Chicco with jackets in it isn’t going to get much money for a thief. So it was probably either moved really well by a CM or taken by accident by someone with the same stroller, and they’ll notice overnight and then hopefully return it.

But Disney isn’t going to help you panic about theft.

It can easily be explained if caught by saying you thought it was yours.

We’ve had theft 1.5 times. The first time was a new pirate hat which was hidden under my brother’s old ratty sweatshirt. (So much for making the stroller look unattractive)

The other time was a free balloon carefully taken off the handle of the stroller. If it had popped there wind have been remnants. Nor did they untie it. They literally took the balloon from the ribbon plastic holder thing. Bizarre.

And then after seeing what squirrels get up to in strollers, we left NOTHING in the stroller. And put tags etc on the stroller to help make it obvious that it’s “not yours”. AND we would park it backwards to make it more awkward to pulll put. Many people with fancier strollers will use a bike lock and put it through the two back wheels. It’s rwally awkward to push a stroller on it’s two front wheels if trying to steal it. But a CM can still move it.

We’ve been done with strollers since late 2009 or early 2010, so it bums me out that people still leave things in their stroller.

But if I were a thief, man, I would have had a petunia picklebottom diaper bag (that I couldn’t afford since our extra was going to Disney) so easily... The things people leave...

I would report those security guards to guest services via email or via DM on Twitter. That they would even think “that doesn’t happen at Disneyland” about anything means they aren’t competently doing their jobs.

This happened to my friend and it turned up the next day with her brand new sweatshirt still in the basket. Someone took it thinking it was theirs. Definitely check back a few more times.
