WDW in February or March?

Early February (before President's Day weekend) is really nice. The weather is usually great (better than home in PA, but maybe not warm enough for some to swim). The parks are not crowded and neither are the resorts. It is a really nice time for those who cannot handle the summer heat and crowds and can travel during the school year.

March was radically different because we traveled around St. Patrick's Day and it was the middle of spring break. Very, very crowded everywhere including the resort (CR). We did not get into our room until after 6:00 pm; we arrived at the hotel at 2:00. The weather was really nice on our trip; sunny, but chilly at night (a light jacket would suffice). IMHO - not the best time for a first WDW trip. We still had a great time, but the crowds were a bit overwhelming at times. We made the best of it, but prefer the slower seasons.

I did late February one year and LOVED the weather. We're hoping to go back again during this period. I was happy with shorts/t-shirt and sweatshirt for evenings or early morning.

My husband was comfortable in Jeans/Tshirt

I'm from NJ, so high 60's to mid 70's is perfect walking weather for us!

I went down in late March with my sister for 2 years now, and we easily did the pool each time, but this year there were days that got pretty darn warm..got into the 80's! (we didn't do the parks, just the pool and DTD...and the pool bar!)

I've very excited to go back in Feb - low crowds, comfortable weather. It's easily a favorite time for me to go.

I've done Feb/March/June/July/November...the week before Thanksgiving would be my next fave time to go.

Last two March trips have been really bad for us....cold actually snowed a little! People were not prepared for cold snap and buying beach towels to wrap up in, no sweatshirt to be found in AK, all sold out! Cast member told me hadn't been that cold in 20+ years - figures when I was there, trying to escape the PA cold March!

We've gone 3 times in March usually around the same week. Once was Easter time and they really don't decorate for that but we had a brunch at Epcot and the girls got Easter baskets in our room. Weather is nice and comfortable. Not too humid yet and the crowds weren't too bad even though it was spring break time. The only thing was that our value resorts were noisy because of the cheerleader competition going on and there were a lot of baseball events too. In March in Epcot they have the flowered topiary up which is really neat to see. We are going in November this time to see the X Mas decor.

I was at the World Feb 1 -4 this year. A cool front was hanging around so the weather was in upper 60's. One day was sunny and warm (t shirts and jeans) but most days were either long sleeves or double up long and short sleeves. In the evening we were fine throwing a fleece on. No need for long johns at all, but I'm from Chicago so Feb in Chicago is pretty bitter. We had a complete downpour of rain ALL day on one day, so the change of clothes we put in the locker came in very handy!

We did hit the hot tub one night (it was an adults only trip) and really enjoyed it.

Even though Superbowl was Feb 1 and I was anticipating higher crowds during my trip it was very much like the light crowds I experienced in the first week of Sept. Almost everything was a walk on or a very short wait.

I would chose February to go back again if I can't get there in November or December that is (the sooner the better).

Done early Feb 2x, and last week of Feb, and First week of Mar( Also Oct :goodvibes) All around we loved Oct best for the weather and activities.

But, we much preferred the end of Feb to begin. The begin was always colder and more crowded. We found Pres weeks crowds were gone by late Feb and begin of Mar crowds were low. Until mid Mar when spring breakers come. So my choice, is last week of Feb or First week of march all around, better chance of weather, and i believe the park hours were better then. Early feb there was alot of 7pm closings, except Epcot
