Don't be alarmed, the doctor doesn't want to take any chances. It's precautionary that they have him scheduled quickly. I will be sending prayers, positive thoughts and pixie dust from me and John that your DH John is just perfect! We know he is already, but I'm talking about healthwise. You'll both be in my thoughts.

A visit to Monet's Gardens was such a beautiful and moving experience.

We also went to la orangerie in Paris to see the water lilies (click on the virtual visit, then Salle 1 or Salle 2, then click and drag the image). Imagine oval rooms built to display panoramic paintings that engulf you.

Then a visit to my all time favorite museum, Musee d'Orsay. Just can't get enough of the Impressionism and Post-Impressionism galleries.

In London, we went to the Courtauld Gallery. (Click on any of the images.) A lovely gathering of artwork assembled from private collections.

He's up to about $550 and still going. Yesterday when we picked up a prescription from the psychiatrist's office, he asked if anybody there would like to buy any (we had some spares in the car), and the receptionist made a copy of the order form to pass around the office, so I hope that drums up a few sales. I even asked when I got my oil change yesterday! We'll be hitting more streets in my neighborhood this weekend. His dad says he should be able to get a couple hundred in sales with his co-workers and family. Tyler SOOOOOO wants to be the top seller in his pack to win the prize that a guy in the scout office is giving! It's an inflatable 2-person rowboat.

Right friends. We could do with prayers at this end at the moment please.

John has to have a brain scan tomorrow. He went to the doctor's on Tuesday as he has been having growing pressure in his head. The doctor doesn't think it will be anything bad as he also did some tests and John doesn't have other symptons, but the fact that they have got him in so quickly is a bit worrying!! Things don't work that way over here.

We are due to fly out in 6 weeks, so having the scan early is good as far as that is concerned - if nothing is found that is!

We are worried of course, but not looking at the negative implications if possible!!!

Oh my gosh, Marilyn, how scary! I'm so sorry you're both going through this and fully believe it will turn out not to be anything bed. I think the reason they got him in quickly is just precautionary, since it's the brain. Major hugs and prayers will be heading your way. Please give John a hug from me and one from Tyler too.

Other than South Western part of Spain - no idea. We start and end in Madrid, but Mom & Dad are doing the itinerary. Can't wait to have some REAL sangria & tapas

You'll have a great time. In southwest Spain, we stayed at beachfront properties in Marbella (1 week) and Cadiz (four nights).

Be sure to have some paella -- it's the best.

That would be special. What would be great is to not tell the kids and then get back on the ship after they were all sad.

Oh wouldn't that be priceless.....you would have to have the camera ready....OK so now you have to book the B2B with me and Marilyn and Kathe and maybe some others, I can't remember. Here's a hint......the both cruises are less than the PC crusie. Yea, check it out. And you have almost a year to pay it off and you still get half off deposits right now......so book it online.

And I really feel for the people who have to. Even though my family isn't in my city, I'm lucky and his dad is the one who gets those calls 2 days a week, so at least I have help. I feel horrible for those who have no contact with the other parent and have no family support.

You're so right Holly.....sharing like you do only gives you half of the burden and responsibility. Thank goodness you have Tyler's dad in the picture. It could be so much worse if you were doing this completely alone. Also, it gives you some time for yourself to recharge so you can always be ready when you're with Tyler. That's perfect.

Hi Monica, I've missed you the past couple of days. It was crazy waiting for quotes and prices and deposits and choices. I was on about six different threads reading everything......it was crazy this week. I'm glad all that's settled. Now we start planning.

Angel and I are doing FE gifts from the Original Champagne Girl and her Co-conspiritor sidekick.....they will naturally be themed......for the Tortola cruise. It should be a LOT of fun! I'm getting excited coz we only have ten more months until we cruise again. YEAH!!!!

Are you getting excited about Spain and seeing the family again? Is Lisa and family going too? That would be great if you could all be together again, having fun.

And it gives his dad a break too. If we were both in the same house, we'd both be insane by now. When Tyler was suspended 2 weeks ago, his stepmom stayed home with him on Thursday and his dad stayed home on Friday, and he told me that on Friday Tyler was in time-out continually all day because he was just so out of control. That makes for a very exhausting day.
