Well, it's 5:30... the sun will be up soon and I am still awake. I just wrote a very long journal entry trying to put my thoughts into words. I have cried alot.

I also kind of figured out that maybe they didn't want me at the service anyway...

So... I'll be back later - hold down the fort for me...

Ugghh! :headache: I wrote a long post and my internet connection went out for a bit, so I lost it. I haven't had that happen for a long time, could be the icy conditions.

Anyway, the point of that post was that I'm dragging myself out to work this morning, when I usually use Saturdays to catch up on my sleep and be lazy all day napping on and off. As much as I'd rather be home in bed, I'd never turn down the chance for extra hours, so off I go! I just keep repeating "Disney World, Disney World, Disney World" and I have no complaints about working on the weekend! ;) I have to book by 12/20 to get the book 4 get 3 nights free, so I plan on doing that soon!

I expect to be to work by 10am and will probably work until it's time to pick Tyler up from his dad's. :thumbsup2 Then he can help me put up our outside Christmas decorations and finish the inside. :goodvibes Have a great day everybody!

There's a big bright beautiful tomorrow, shining at the end of everyday. There's a big bright beautiful tomorrow, and tomorrow's just a day away!

Man has a dream, and that's the start. He follows his dream with mind and heart. And when it becomes a reality, it's a dream come true, for you and me!

Oh, there's a big bright beautiful tomorrow, shining at the end of everyday! There's a bit bright beautiful tomorrow, just a dream away! (and Nan).

So, not much going on at Eastwood manor today. All of our shoping was done last night. This morning I'm taking the car to be washed and have the air topped up in the tires.

Then it's off to Costco for me.

I'm going by myself. Sukie has elected to stay in, because he's working tonight.

I have no big plans for the day. I have no work to do this weekend for a nice change.

I'll probably just settle down to some game playing after Costco. Pity none of you are on PS3, we could meet up.

The meeting with HR and the insurance broker did not happen on Friday. That will happen on Monday, then I have to make up my mind as to which way unfair overcharge we will go with.

It has nothing to do with California. It has to do with the IRS and the DOMA laws that were passed ... because we all know how utterly evil Sukie and I are, and that we are the real reason that marriages break up.

Oh well, it's nice to know that there are complete strangers out there, husband wives who can now respond to the question , "Why did you get divorced?" ... "It was Ian and Sukie. The sanctity of our marriage was so impacted that we just could not stay together anymore. Our marriage fell apart because Ian and Sukie were happy and so we came to doubt our own marriage. Those two destroyed our marriage."

Thanks Shannon...

Hi Angie!!!

How's life on the road??? Are you at DL yet???

We are still a little north of DL. Lst night we went to Solvang for dinner with friends we have not seen in over 20 years. After dinner they visited awhile in the MH and DrHug got to jam a bit.....just like the old days. Fun! We will head to Anaheim today. If we get set up early enough we will head over to DL, if not tomorrow for sure!:woohoo:

We are so sorry you are hurting. Wish we could say/do something that would help, but all we have to give you is :grouphug:  and we are sending lots of those. :grouphug:   :grouphug:

:grouphug: so sorry Michelle, so sorry :grouphug:

You are mourning your Dad as he was as well as who you wanted him to be.

You are mourning for the family that never was and still is not.

His choice to leave has impacted everyone of you.

So sorry

I am glad the journaling and crying happened and hope you continue to let it happen whenever the need arises.

Oh my gosh, I just fell in love! I just tried the ice cream I brought home from Cold Stone Creamery last night. It's called "Tall, Dark and Minty" and is dark chocolate peppermint ice cream with oreo cookies mixed in. Holy cow it's awesome! :cloud9:

OH NO! And there's a Cold Stone less than a mile from my house! I think I eat more ice cream in DECEMBER than any other time of the year...just because Peppermint is so readily available.

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: for all my pals who need one or more of these.

Found this photo...it will serve to illustrate just how much sister Di and I look alike. (The lady in the photo is my Aunt Laura, who is still alive and kicking at 85....wish we had HER genes)

:cheer2: CONGRATS MOLLY!:cheer2:

My first on stage performance (as opposed to all the 'off stage' performances I gave at home) was also as a senior citizen. It was way fun to do and I got an 'A' in drama class that semester.

Finally safe and home.

The car is clean. The tires are filled. I've been to Costco.

My AK Mickey Antenna topper is gone again! Yep, this time it was pinched in Costco. Maybe somebody needed a stocking stuffer.

I went to Costco to buy my donations for my team's charitable giving.

I discussed it with my team. My team really liked the idea. I stressed that this was me speaking as a civilian and not their boss. I let them choose to whom we donated. The only thing I shared were my feelings that there are "feel good" charities and fringe charities. Value judgements made about the deserving poor and the undeserving poor, and for me value judgements are removed from the act of giving.

The team decided on a shelter for women how have escaped domestic violence and a shelter for teenage boys who are recovering from alcohol and drug abuse.

The sorts of things they needed were toothbrushes, toothpaste, socks, deodorant, really simple, basic stuff, because in most cases these are people who have left home with only the clothes on their backs.

I was able to get big packs of things at Costco. I also bought a 9 pack of little teddy bears for the women's shelter. At least some kids might be able to get a little something.

Then I come out to the car and my antenna topper is gone. Oh, well. Tis the season.

Creepy, isn't it?

Ian, I've only had one atenna topper 'take a walk'. It was in the city parking garage while I was at jury duty. Well, at least it wasn't our CARS that were taken, eh?

Which one was it? I can't use any of mine now with the new car, so if I've got the one you 'lost', I'd be glad to send it to you. OR.....you could just race down to WDW to shop for a new one...would you need me to help you?

It was the pith helmet Mickey. Now I have an excuse for a trip to WDW!

Hi All....doing a fly by....cleaning, decorating, packing.....getting ready for hohoho and my trip out of town on Tuesday. Very busy.

I just want to hug Michelle and tell you that those who hurt you the most actually love you the most because they're giving up their own karma to help you gain yours. That's always helped me through hard times and I believe it. You're a good person sweetie and we love you. Many hugs.

Michelle, I haven't gotten caught up on the thread but I do get that your father has passed. I am so sorry to hear it. I wish you peace.

Since this is what you signed up for, it is a good solution. :thumbsup2 If Mama Nan was working full time she might not have known about this until too late to make a difference or if she knew, she might not have had time or energy to make a difference.

See, you are doing good stuff for all the kids! :cheer2:

CONGRATS TO MY BFF
MISS MOLLY!!!!:cutie:

:cheer2:

thanks

Nan... I couldn't ask for a better family!!!

:grouphug: (besides... can you just IMAGINE the dinner conversations we have??? Much more interesting than those "other people"...)

I know that the other siblings I have (the ones that my mother really did have...) are having their own issues... but as the baby of the family and the one they think caused more problems than they think I did... I think that they are the ones who make more of it than it is... (if that made any sense... )

And I owe you a big one dear sis... Your call tonight brought a bit of warmth into my icy (for real) existence... At least I have electricity otherwise I would have been giving you a blow by blow of the goings on at the emergency shelter...

And by the way... is this really cut peoples heads off Saturday??? I missed the memo... Royal Mail...

only cutting off Ian's head. I think he is baiting me to make him a scrap book

Nope working on Speed Racers this weekend.

::yes::, we had planned on taking a cruise when Wilson turned 5 (we decided this when molly turned 5 2+ years before him) so when we actually made it to that year his school wasn't giving us off his week for break, so we had to move it to Xmas, hence the birthday cake at Xmas...

& is this saying something about pushing???

It's not THAT day yet... ;)

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=zxZrhtLecu8

::yes:: pusing that was it...not it's a conversation we have to have off line to have me explain it...;)

:cheer2: CONGRATS MOLLY!:cheer2:

I'll let her know, she is really excited and wants a grey wig. She will ham it up for sure :thumbsup2

Well, I actually got a mess of errands taken care of today. Now my hips are aching so I may have to medicate (ibuprofen or vodka?) tonight. Did finally fill my perscription so I can start my weekly dose of bone medicine. Got supplies for the office grab bag (Banfi and Dove dark chocolates) and some stockings and stuffers for my fellow assistants from the dollar store. Got 'desk supplies' like mini emory board, nail clipper, Tide stick, purse size Kleenex pack, hand sanitizer, some chocolates and a small double-sided picture frame. Was hoping to find a small sewing/repair kit thingie...my look at Target or Walmart tomorrow. But the BEST thing was a small (airplaine size) bottle of Jack Daniels. I'm well know for the comment "This isn't anything that four fingers of Jack Daniels wouldn't cure." So it's the perfect thing to include. :thumbsup2

Had to stop at Cold Stone when I was all done.....BLAME HOLLY! :lmao: Had the smallest serving of the dark chocolate peppermint and it was yummy, that's for sure.

Finished up another round of Christmas cards and will drop them at the post office tomorrow. Speaking of cards....THANK YOU MARILYN~YOU ROCK! Received cards from Holly & Tyler, Lisa & Darrel, and Mr & Mrs Woody too! So far, all cards received are from DIS pals. :grouphug:

Wonder if there's a good holiday movie on tonight...I need some couch time!

.....later kids.....
