You mean a nice male masseuse named Fabio? hahaha.:laughing::laughing:

Not Fabio... too much hair...

Deb - take the flowers & clips with you to the store (like Michaels) - they can probably give you ideas as to how to put them together

that's a good idea.. you need either fabric glue or something that will glue fabric to metal. Try Joann crafts also - since they are more fabric.

I think I beat you to sleep last night.. but not by much...

I'm still gonna try to make my chowder... maybe today. I'm gonna watch it not snow. and then just stuff around the house I guess...

Jan... I never have to sign in every day. Up at the top where it says to sign in (upper right side...) I sign in at that box and then click the box where it says to stay logged in. Then I always check in from one of my email notifications - or you can just open the disboards main page and then go to your CP from there.

:scratchin hmmmm.....
when I use Tom's computer I type www.disboards.com in the box and up comes that stupid lightblue and white page. What is the address to the disboards main page? I thought that is what I was using.

......going in from an e-mail may just be the trick I need.
I have MY threads saved on my phone so reading them there is convenient and I can adjust the bookmark to be able to sign in on the page where I left off.

It may be the meds keeping you awake and then the mind kicks in with everything going on....especially when you have two big cruises coming up soon.

Definitely talk to your doctor on the 27th, in the meantime.....sit and write everything on your mind....make lists or do journal entries....just before you go to bed everynight. Try to put it on paper and leave it there. Then you have a list and you'll deal with it later. It frees up your mind so maybe you can sleep.

Good Luck sweetie, I will be thinking about you. I know me and Michelle stay up late a lot, but we sleep during the daytime too. You have a job instead. You can't afford to not sleep at night.

::yes:: I like that LIST MAKING idea. Makes good sense!! Then, if you keep the list, a pen and flashlight by the bed, if you think of something else, you can write it down and leave it all there on paper for morning. :thumbsup2

I got my pink hair flowers and pink hair clips in the mail yesterday. Now I have to put them together...chiffon and ribbon. I have to go to a craft store and see what they have available. I don't love the flowers. The ones I initially picked out were a lot nicer, but they didn't correspond with me so I worried about doing business with them. At least these are the right color pink and they were very affordable and they are here.

Three plusses--that's good!

Do you have HOBBY LOBBY nearby? I like them A LOT!

I stay signed in all the time and get email notifications. But I click on "favorites" after I'm finished and save it. The next time I go back, I pull down my favorites list and just click on it. It takes me right back to where I left off.

That works for my phone and the lap top I use but when I am on Tom's comptuer I don't save websites. Maybe I should, but I work there pretty much only for work, so I think that the page I have saved would be way out of date by the next time I try that computer for DISing.

:woohoo: Happy Weekend!! :yay:

OK so I went to Michaels and brought the flower and hair clip with me. They told me to use a spray glue for fabrics. I tried it and it works beautifully. So how do they look:

Looks great Deb!!

SURE... Monica gets all the credit... and I'm not even ON this ship with you!!!!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Yea, you're just chopped liver......hahaha.

NO, you told me about the glue and the wax paper, etc.

Monica told me to bring the materials in with me and to go to Michaels. They picked out the glue that I should use and it works great.

Thanks Shell too!!!!

Hope everyone's Monday started out well.....I'm back to the old grind at the computer today :lmao:

I'm gonna try to clean the bathroom today... :rotfl2:

Now that everybody told me what to get to glue the hair clips onto the flowers....what do you suggest I use to get the glue off of my hands now? It's Elmers bonding glue in an aresol spray. I put a paper towel over my hand to hold the flower while I sprayed it, but it went through the paper towel. Next time I'll wear latex gloves, but what do I do now? I already called Michael's. They said soap and hot water......yea, like I didn't try that already and nail polish remover. It helps only a little. Rubbing it off works better but it's a slow and hard process. Any ideas?

I finished about half of all the flowers that I need to get done. It's really simple and easy and dries in about an hour. I did 45 and I'm going to do 100 total. I expect to have leftovers for the little girls in the kids club. I always make extra for them and they love them. They get so excited when we bring them in for them.

Deb... try vaseline. coat the area with it... let it soak in for a few minutes and then see if you can peel the glue off with that. Then use dish detergent to wash off the vaseline. (dawn works good if you have it... )

Thanks Shell. I will have to try it, but first I have to buy some vaseline. I don't have any in the house. I do have dawn, so that works.

Kaylee's plans for tonight just fell through, so I'm off to pick her up at her hotel once I get off work.

:cool1::banana::yay::woohoo::dance3::cheer2:

Just sittin here doing some work while wearing my neck brace... nothing new.. just sometime I get tired of holding up my head... Did you know your head weighs as much as a bowling ball? I always sucked at bowling anyway...:rotfl:

by the way.. I need to make a sequin cover for this collar... at least I'd feel much better wearing it!!!
