Empties... I'll let you enjoy the contents of the bottle...

btw... the exchange rate is $1 - $1.03 Canadian... you win...

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.............

no............:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Kathe, want to bring me some Canadian cash which I will trade (I mean exchange properly) for US cash? I need to think about what my cash expenditures will be. I was assuming I can pay for the hotel with my Visa and just deal with their exchange rate.

There will be lunch, dinner, breakfast, taxi expenses in Vancouver. Hmmmm....and probably money for trinkets in Victoria.

Regarding the upgrade...if it's as cheap as it was for the TA to upgrade from an 11 to a 9...no worries, I'v got you covered!

No problem Jackie. Just PM me with how much you think you'll need :thumbsup2

Don't worry Kathe...

I have 2 more cases of seltzer cans downstairs you can have... that'll cover your upgrade...:thumbsup2

I was using Europe really as a similar expanse. Over there in the US different States have all sorts of things to see, just like the countries here. So, lots of wonderful vacations without a cruise ship in sight!!!

Oh, that makes sense. :thumbsup2 Yes, you're exactly right! I want him to see lots of places. :goodvibes

So I was lazy today, didn't make it to work until 2:15, only worked 4.25 hours, but it was enough to get most of the way caught up on last week's chaos. And I now have 18 hours of banked time to set aside for emergencies. I have plenty of vacation for the cruises, but like having the extra banked because I never know when the school will call me to pick up Tyler early, or if one of us is sick, etc. :thumbsup2

I love Hawaii. I am trying to use my timeshare (not Disney) to spend two weeks there this Christmas. I think a transpacific cruise to Hawaii and back sounds lovely. But it might be when I can't go if it is in April or early May. I barely got it arranged to take DD out of school early for the TA. And next May she will be graduating middle school so I wouldn't,t be able to take her out early. Maybe I could talk my mom into coming up to visit and I could take off with you guys. We will have to wait for the announcement.

I had a uber crappy night sleeping last night....this is how it went:
asleep at 1130pm
awake at 210am
awake at 248am
awake at 323am
awake at 535am
alarm going off at 6am.

I did treat myself to a Starbucks Java Chip Frappachino this morning :rotfl: now sitting here counting the hours.

My manager is back today (was off all last week) and she asked me about those positions I put in for.....I said (again) that I would gladly stay w/ my account if they would let me work from home, but since they won't & my goal is to work from home....then I have to look elsewhere. Right now my car is slowly dying (both left & right front axels are broken, 1 door doesn't lock automatically, 1 door doesn't unlock automatically, 2 windows don't work (motors dead)...I think that's it ). Mom & Dad told me that they'll help me w/ getting another car IF they end up getting a payout from my dad's old company (Dad sued them years ago for wrongful termination & other issues).....hopefully this will be finished soon. We'll see what happens. I'll keep you informed....of course, if I win the lottery then this won't really matter :lmao:

I'm supposed to do a 5k around Lake Eola this Saturday, then heading out to Port Canaveral to meet Deborah, Ian, Keith & Olivia for dinner at Fishlips & to watch the Magic leave.

Found this on another DIS thread....

Just found this article. Has some very interesting predictions. From Travel on a Dream site (might be a travel agency). The link will not work, so here is the article:

More Ideas Regarding 2012 Cruises

Posted April 4, 2011 by ************** in 2012, Disney Cruise Line, Disney Dream, Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Galveston, Hawaii, New York City. Leave a Comment

We gave you some thoughts on what may happen with the Disney Cruise Line cruises for the remainder of 2012. Here are some additional ideas based on information that we have discovered or heard.

Disney Dream

We anticipate that the sailings for the Disney Dream will remain the same throughout the rest of 2012, alternating 3 night sailings on Thursdays and 4 night sailings on Sundays. The only exception to this will be over Thanksgiving week when they will likely have a 3 night sailing on Sunday and 4 night sailing on Wednesday so they aren’t in Port Canaveral on Thanksgiving Day.

Disney Magic

We anticipate the Disney Magic will call home during the summer of 2012 in New York City. The following cruises may be offered:

7 night cruises to Bermuda
7 night cruises to New England/Canada
7 night cruises to Florida & Bahamas
2 night cruises to nowhere
5 night cruises to Canada
8 night cruises to Florida & Bahamas
Repositioning to London for the Olympics

We feel they will either do 8 night, 5 night, 8 night, 5 night, 2 night or alternate the 7 night sailings. We don’t feel strongly about a repositioning to London, but include it because it has been mentioned by some.

In the Fall, the Disney Magic will call home to Galveston, Texas for the fall and winter. We don’t anticipate getting the schedule beyond 2012 though on Wednesday. The following cruises may be offered:

7 night cruises to Western Caribbean (Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Costa Maya)
5 night cruises to Key West and either Grand Cayman or Cozumel (possibly also Tampa)
Longer cruises further south in the Western Caribbean (Belize, Roatan) or Jamaica
8 night cruises to Florida & Bahamas

Of course there will be sailings from Port Canaveral to reposition the ship to NYC and then a repositioning from NYC to either Port Canaveral or Galveston (and if Port Canaveral then another one going to Galveston). We expect the repo to NYC would be in April and the repo to Galveston in early September.

Disney Wonder

We anticipate that the Disney Wonder will depart on April 29 for Hawaii on either a round trip sailing or repositioning sailing. If roundtrip, we expect the sailing to include 4 stops in Hawaii and a stop at Ensenada Mexico before returning to Los Angeles. If repositioning, we expect the sailing to include 3-4 stops in Hawaii and a stop in Victoria Canada, ending in Vancouver. We don’t expect that the Alaskan ports will be visited on this repositioning cruise. We are also seeing some evidence that the Wonder may not operate all of its Alaskan cruises out of Vancouver in 2012, but they will be going there again in 2012. We expect the same ports of call as in 2011.

We also expect another sailing to Hawaii in mid-September, again either as a repositioning or as a roundtrip sailing from Los Angeles.

We also anticipate more Pacific Coast sailings to include stops in Seattle, San Francisco and possibly Oregon as well, in addition to Mexican Riviera sailings. We don’t expect a Mexican Riviera sailing on a weekly basis for all of the Fall 2012. We also think there may be a number of short cruises between Vancouver and Seattle in 2012.

We have heard that there will be quite a few itineraries in 2012 so we don’t expect to see the same itineraries continually for a period of time (such as the Alaskan sailings in 2011). We expect to see a wide variety of offerings.

hmmmmmm......interesting possibilities! I want to go to Roatan!
