google a bigger one... or get 2...

I'd get one for the little green furry butt... but he thinks it would be a bachelor pad and well, you know... I don't want the police raiding my office to stop the parties... It's bad enough he already has an account at Carm's Pizza... :rolleyes1

speaking of my office... I've found 1/2 the floor...

Welcome to the Magnifcent Deck 7 Crew, we're a very friendly gang we have the secret deck and are closer to Topsiders and Cove Cafe! Apart from our first cruise we have always been on 7, usually in a Cat 7 but this time because of booking later we are in 7104.

Ann

Our first(4 night) cruise we were on Deck 7 in a Navigator Verandah room and did like the convenience of being close to Beach Blanket. Last time we were in a 5. right at the back of the ship, and still walked up the stairs every time. It did get easier over the week!!!:lmao:

Happy Pride Day everyone,

I decided to keep Sukie company at the parade while he took photos. There were over 250 floats/entrants in the parade and over a half a million people. Most of them drunk from what I could seen.

I am even more exhausted and tired and achy than a day at the parks.

It was fun in a way. Sukie took lots of photos for his paper and lots of people fussed over him, because "Out and Proud in Chicago" has been screening all week on PBS.

We went to to party at the paper's office. All I wanted to do was sit down and have a cold drink. It was not to be, more people fussing over Sukie. One very drunk young man became very enamored and would not leave Sukie alone. I'm afraid I was a bit rude to the young man, tapped his shoulder and said, "Excuse me but perhaps you're too drunk to have noticed the wedding ring?"

Actually, wasn't jealous sort at all he just caught me at a bad time, I was cranky hot, tired. I was annoyed that we couldn't just sit quietly and have a cold drink.

The young man then started to complement Sukie on his hair. I said, "It isn't real you know. It's a toupee. At night he keeps it on the night stand next to the bed."

"You shouldn't say such horrible things!" He said.

"I don't think it's horrible at al." I replied. "After all, like the toupee well enought to buy it for him!"

From there it only got worse. More people huddling around, one who apparently wanted to know what day and time Sukie and I were on TV so they could catch our show.

We ended up leaving. I never did get to sit down for very long or finish my cold drink.

Sounds an utter nightmare to be honest. I have got to the age where I don't go to things I presume will be difficult or will certainly leave early. Life is too short to spend it that way!!! Good on you for supporting Sukie though, and sometimes we do have to do that for our other halves!!

Marilyn check your junk mail again had to resend one. old eagle eye (DEB) spotted a misspelled word

Well I obviously didn't read it properly as I hadn't noticed. Thanks:thumbsup2

What looks like a pile of mess on his bed is actually just his stuffed animals, I had no idea what to do with them all. :rotfl2:

No wonder you were worn out. It looks so good Holly.

Molly got bangs but I have a hard time getting them from my iphone to FB to here... maybe later if I'm in a better mood -still feeling crabby

Sorry your job is so bad and you are feeling so crabby at the moment. Any chance of looking for something else or are you kind of stuck where you are for various reasons?

A bit of fashion advice please. I have been looking for formal(ish) dresses for our upcoming cruises. Not long ones as I would never wear them again.

Anyway I have found quite a nice one at a good price and it comes in both red and black. The black one is £49.99 and the red on is in the sale at £40. No need to convert money for this, but I guess the black one is about $15 more than the red. They are online, so I can't go and try both on. I won't post pictures of the dresses in case you don't like them!!!

Should I go with safe black, or go for something different and get the red one. There is also a matching sheer bolero top I could get to go with the red one. I would usually go with the safe one, but for some reason I am drawn to the red, but I thought I would get some thoughts form you. You know where I am going to be wearing it, and most of you have met me.

I say DEFINITELY go for the red one. I think the color will look fabulous on you. I would love it if you could post a picture. I'm sure we will like it because you do.

Thanks Deb. I also like it because it isn't expensive and I don't wear dressy clothes often. It is sleeveless, but enough strap to cover the bra strap. I would need a cover up as well because of the upper arm thing!!!!

I have a dilema today too. Casey's mom called me after she got his final report card. It wasn't great. One "F", a couple of "Ds" and some "Cs". Initially Jane (his mom) agreed that he could go on the cruise with us if he picked his grades up. I said "Cs" and "Bs" and she didn't disagree. Casey told me that he would do it. Then when Jane called she said she wants him to get "As" and "Bs" to go on the cruise. If he doesn't, then she's not letting him go. Now what do I do. If I wait until just before the cruise and he doesn't pull his grades up high enough, then I lose $975. I can cancel him right now and get all my money back. What should I do? I feel so sorry for the kid. He just doesn't like school. I really want to take him on the cruise, but I don't want to lose that much money if he doesn't get to go. I've got to call him soon and talk to him. I don't know what to say. I welcome your opinions.:rolleyes1

Oh Deb, that is so difficult. I'm not too keen on the bribery thing with exams/grades etc, rather just giving something once results are known, then it can be something relating to the effort/results. However it is done now and has to be dealt with. I certainly don't think you should be liable for the $975 if you go down the route of waiting to see though. His mom has to decide about that. Either he goes anyway, but don't tell him until the grades are out, or his mom covers the cost if he isn't allowed to go, which I don't think you would want either. Perhaps his mom is aiming too high for his results and can be encouraged to drop her expectations.

I tried to get her to lower her expectations, but she wasn't having any of it. I have two choices....cancel him now or take the chance of losing the money. I'm sick over all of this. It's not fair. His mom is very controlling. That's why I have always kept her at bay. But I have to deal with her at times for the kids sakes. She is not going to back off and she will keep her word and not let him go if he doesn't do what she wants.

Oh dear. Perhaps if you are sure she won't change her mind you are going to have to cancel him now. When is the last date for cancellation and when are his results out? Perhaps he can go with you next year instead, and then just because you want to take him and not attached as a reward.

I agree. That's what I'm afraid of. His next interim grades will be available after 5 weeks of starting the new school year. That's too late to cancel and get a refund. We sail mid October. I have about 3 weeks left to make up my mind and still get a full refund. I really don't want to bring him next year. All of those cruises are already planned. He really wants to go to Atlantis. This is the only trip that I'll be doing that. So it's now or never. Besides, his mom will always attach a condition. She won't just let him go without gaining something that she wants out of it from him. It's her way or the highway. Sadly, because of her....I'm going to have to cancel him. I feel so bad doing that to him. I want him to go and he wants to go. It's his mother that's the problem.

Shame isn't it? It doesn't do any good for the child's confidence in what his mum thinks of him either. Silly woman. At least you have some time to think it through properly.

Ok... so...

Mom was looking for a car... she had a choice... did she go with the nice safe color of blue, like she had... or did she try a different color... the nice schnazzy looking red color. It would be a change... spice up her life a little... Bessy (her car) is still the same personality... (which to all of her friends in the neighborhood is friendly and lots of fun...)

but.......

BOY DOES SHE LOOK SHARP!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Does that help?

I think you are going to have to take him off the ressie... the good thing is... it's IS October and you could add him later if you needed to. The ship won't be full... and we know excursions usually don't fill.

Try to find something, (with his mom...) perhaps school, other work, volunteer work, etc that he could do to prove himself worthy of a trip like this.

I always tell Emma when her parents doubt her (and it's usually unfounded cause she's a great young woman who also gets great grades, etc...) to PROVE THEM WRONG!!!

She will call me about something or if someone doesn't think she's good enough for something... and I always ask her... "What did I tell you to do???" And she'll tell me... "Prove them wrong..." :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

You see two dress one more red? do you like red? will you wear it again?

If you go for black, mean you can wear it lot

Why not order both then return one ?

Do you want my vote? Black :):rolleyes1 but I think Red suit you too ....

Now I buy more green clothes, lime, dark green Oh I love it and bought green bag from my work... more green...

Good Job!!! I forgot to take before picks of the office before I started working on it... (which is a good thing...)

Haven't you heard of those stuffed animal hammocks they have... they are netting and you hang them from the wall or ceiling...

http://www.amazon.com/Stuffed-Animals-Toy-Storage-Hammock/dp/B0000V07ES

Yeah, I have, just not sure if it would be easy to get them in and out regularly. A friend who was over recently suggested running something along the wall within reach, maybe a clothesline or something similar, with clips to hook each animal on (line laundry pins). Ran out of time. Will check into something this weekend. :thumbsup2
