Waterproof phone case

I'll be visiting Lookout Cay and Castaway Cay soon. I just purchased a waterproof phone case from Amazon. I don't necessarily plan on taking my phone into the ocean, but I want to be prepared. My phone is older and is NOT waterproof at all. Do any of you have experience with the waterproof phone cases? I don't mind returning what I bought and getting a different one if there is a highly recommend type.

We just bought random ones on Amazon and they worked so well at Aulani. It was fully submerged in the ocean and pool alot! It was so hard to wrap my brain around just letting it go in the water. I was able to take photos through it also.

Test before using. Tissue paper inside and submerge in water.

It is the best. Wife uses it all the time!

I purchased a Hurley brand one from Sierra that looks just like the Amazon ones referenced above and it worked great at LC and CC. I like to snorkel, so I took a bunch of underwater pictures and videos. I just followed the package directions (which say to put a Kleenex inside the pouch and submerge it to test) before using.

They are wonderful. As others said: test with tissue, also to make sure you know how to close them properly.

Solo traveller so I always want my phone with me and not left on the beach. Taken it to Castaway, Lookout, and Aulani in the water for hours sometimes and never had an issue, got a similar one as the Amazon one referenced above. Make sure to wear it around your neck in the water cause it don't float and interacting with the phone can be a pain in the water as touch gets a bit finicky (I normally switch to use the physical buttons if possible to take photos, etc).
