Water Bottles

Are you allowed to take water bottles on rides, assuming that they are in some way attached to you (with a bag/strap like the picture up-thread, or a caribeaner) and not just held in your hand? DH thinks they would not be allowed due to the 'projectile' issue. Our kids are past stroller stage so we are planning on touring with just a fanny pack each. However, I don't think the fanny packs are big enough to fit the water bottle *inside* them. If we can't take them on rides, what should we do? TIA!

You will have no problem bringing them with you on any rides.
