I had quite the exciting evening the other day when I tried to load the new firmware update for my Canon EOS 5D Mark III. I thought I'd share a lesson learned here, too, in addition to my posts on POTN and the Canon web site forum.
To avoid a panic, please make sure you don't have an Eye-Fi card in your camera when performing a firmware upgrade.
