For those of you considering using the Disney Visa, be warned. They will bump your rate up if you miss the payment one day and treat you as if you were a criminal if you call to question it. The payments take forever to process, so even if you think you are paying on time, you may not. I am very sad that Disney has joined with a company that does not represent what Disney stands for. I had a customer service rep. call and lie to my wife about a payment that was due and then was reported when we missed a payment.

I can't imagine that I am the only one who feels this way and I am sorry if I am, but I hope this affiliation ends soon because I fear it will reflect negatively on Disney. (What happened to AMEX).

Sincerely,
Bill

I have mine setup for online payment so I don't have to worry about missing the payment date. You set the date for the withdrawl from your checking, it isn't immediate like some online payment systems. So as soon as I get the bill, I set it up.

That is pretty standard for any credit card company these days. Nothing against Disney, just the sign of the times.

I make my payment on line. It's very easy to do, plus it tells you when the payment will arrive at their system.

I agree, but the customer service department is lacking and does not represent Disney well. I take responsibility for missing the payment and not 'following the rules', but don't expect to be lied to and treated like a criminal. I hope no one has to go through what I have with this company and I think there are many other banks they could have made their affiliation with than this one.

They just merged with Chase. I also pay mine online and I also have it set up so I get an email to remind me that it is due in 10 days.

Personally I much perfer BankOne to Amex. I try to avoid them at all costs since the "customer is a n inconvinece" if they have a disputed charge. And you think BankOne is bad try MBNA. THey told me that since I once gave a vendor my charge number the vendor has the right to process just any old charge at any time and they won't due anything. (I did get them to do something, but it required that I read them the Federal rules on credit practices!)

They just merged with another bank, maybe things will change!

yeah chase, and good luck, I have zero problems with Bank One and I have 3 separate accounts with them, I have 1 with Chase and they seem to always be giving me some type of problem

Maybe some others have experienced the following but I sure never have: Chase is the only company I have seen where a payment I made was claimed to not fall within one statement or another. The payment was a few days after my July statement closing(which was fine since July payment was previoulsy made) but it was not credited to Aug statement becuase they claimed it hadnt started yet. Hughh? I didnt know there was a period in between statements. Needless to say they tried to charge me a late fee for not paying in Aug, but they did clear it off.

Also just paid off a rather large balance with them and since the #@$!*& had a no grace period on the interest I owed an additional 13 bucks and they wanted a min payment of 1 freaking dollar. Are you kidding me! I just paid thousands off and you want me to mail a $1 payment.

Anyway not happy about change obvioulsy

I was checking my reward balance when I noticed the bonus dollars weren't quite right. I fired off a very polite e-mail explaining the problem. About 4 working days later I got an answer e-mail which confirmed what I thought and was told the additional dollars had been credited to my account. So far I am extremely happy with Disney and Bank One/Chase.

I Love my Disney Visa....been saving up $$$$$ disney dollars..and now looking forward to spending them next month :cool1: :earboy2:

We set it up to EFT from our bank instead of paying it EFT through their site. It seemed to take an extra day to get the $ posted and luckily the rep gave us a grace day :sad2:

The BankOne/Chase merger hurt my company pretty bad. Half our business was with B1 and after the merger, they pulled about 90% back in house. Had to lay off 60 co-workers.

I haven't had any problems with then, either. Always get the right # of reward dollars and I'm looking forward to spending them in April!
Also, my card expires 3/31 and I was wondering when I'd get my new one. just hoping there wouldn't be some type of delay and I got it today.

I don;t have a Disney, or any Bank One card, but I've had a Chase card for years. No problems. I pay online, but get snail mail statements.

I don't have a Disney Visa, but this is not the first person I have heard say that their customer service was lacking.

As far as the Bank One merge with Chase, Bank One has gone down hill since and personally I have opened up a BofA accountant and will close my Bank One accounts.

There is a world of difference in the customer service between the two. More telllers and tellers that act like they are actually appreciative that you are a customer. :earsboy:

Not a bad move. There are a bunch of Bank of America branches in Florida.

It's a bank, what are you expecting?

Pay on time - anticipate delays - no problems.

I have both Bank1 (Disney Visa) and Chase cards and have never had problems with either. Having said that the few times I have called CS, it seemed that Chase was much easier to work with. I see the merger as a good thing IMO.

We have never had a problem with our Chase card and we've had it for over 5 years. We don't have a Disney Visa. The only card company we've ever had a problem with that honestly was not our fault (and I really mean that) was MBNA. They finaly did correct it but were not very nice about it. We paid off and cancelled that card about 6 months later.
I wonder if chase card holders can have their cards turned into Disney visa cards now? Does anyone know?
