Family swore off of Star Wars shows because of so many disappointments but today I was told that Andor is supposed to be really good so we are watching the first episode and so far so good. I sure do hope it stays as good as it is starting out.

The family says we watched it and it was great but I have zero memory. Even looking at the reviews and seeing the images isn't jogging my memory, we're going to rewatch soon.
Just for extra emphasis :)
Make sure you finish Andor before watching Rogue 1.

We watched the second episode which was also amazing and DH lingered over Rouge 1 after and I requested waiting since this is the prequel. We'll watch in order :)

So Fiona Shaw is in the cast, fingers crossed she is going to be a Jedi or something else cool, same goes for Stellan Skarsgård so now I am wondering where this is all going

I will also say this as a warning that some episodes do go into some deep, disturbing content on various topics portrayed in realistic ways, so just be aware of this as it could be triggering to some.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll keep the remote close to skip or pause to remove myself if something bothers me which is what I do all the time. The first thing DH said was that this looks far more adult and less corny than any of the other series.

Season one of Andor was outstanding!

Just rewatched Rogue 1 and it made so much more sense this time around. It is a beautiful film and has one of the most Vader like Darth Vader scenes ever, but the first time around it didn't really land for me and it was just ehhh. After following your recommendation after seeing Andor (just the first season actually) I realized that with a little more context Rogue 1 fits right into the world of Star Wars. It's a really important addition.
