Waitlist Question

I have a question about how DVC handles waitlist requests.

I have two contracts and have been using only one of them for my waitlist requests.

I have a reservation booked and then put up for a waitlist on another.

Then I placed a waitlist on another weekend.

Now the second waitlist came through but I still want the first if it comes available. But I’m pretty sure that the remaining points on that contract won’t cover it. (It’ll be off by two or three points.)

If the waitlist comes through will DVC automatically take the shortage out of the other contract or will I lose out on the reservation?

I didn’t want to redo the waitlist if I didn’t have to because I’m sure they are handled first-come-first-served. And couldn’t see a way to modify the request to the other contract.

If the contracts are in the same membership, they pull points in the order they are listed if it’s a 7 months waitlist based on what is checked.

So, they will just pull in that way. The only time contract matters is when you authorize borrowing.


Then it uses the one you specified. So, if you didn’t check both, then contact MS to add a note to use the second contract as well.
