I need some help... my DSIL made a chili cheese dip one year that she served with Scoops. Anybody have a recipe for this or any variations of it? I remember that it was quite good and thought I would try making it but now I don't remember what was in it! TIA!:goodvibes

We make one all the time that is super easy.

Bottom layer: Cream cheese
Middle layer: Hormel chili, no beans
Top layer: Shredded taco cheese.

Just microwave until the cheese is melted and serve!

Super easy & YUMMY!

Good luck!

My MIL just melts velveeta with chili. Pretty easy.

This is in one of my cookbook taste of home

Chapionship bean dip

1 can refried beans
1 cut picante sauce
1 cup jack cheese shredded
1 cup of chedder cheese shredded
3/4 cups of sour cream
3 ounces of cream cheese
1 tablespoon of chili powder
1/4 teasponn ground cumin

Put in slower cooker for 2 hours or until heated.

Not chili but bean and its really good. I have made it a couple times.

Velveeta and chili, just put it in a bowl together (I cut the Velveeta into cubes) and microwave it.

/
can of van camps chili
can of rotel
shredded cheese

Threw in pot until the cheese is melted and serve friteos.

I second the velveeta and chili and microwave recipe! I do season my hormel chili a bit because I like it spicy and flavorful, which the can is not!

My brother makes this for Super Bowl Sunday. It's good, isn't it?

We do the same, but throw it in the crockpot so its gooey all day.

Brown a pound of ground beef and put it in the crockpot with a can of beanless chili and a pound of Velveeta. You can double or triple it and it will still fit in a big crockpot. It's really good but kind of gross to clean up, especially if you have been eating too much of it!

Our chili cheese dip recipe is:

1 lb. Velveeta
1 lb. cooked ground beef
1 can Rotel
1/2 tsp. chili powder
2 tsp. Worschestershire sauce

I actually quadruple the recipe most times and make it in a 6 qt. crock pot. Takes about an hour on high.

IMO this one beats all of the salsa and chili recipes hands down, but it all depends on what flavor your family prefers.

Have fun! :thumbsup2

YEAP, as soon as I saw this thread I thought that was the one you were talking about!! I got this from a friend we were visiting in NJ over the summer. Since then I've made it several times and it is the "hit" of the party! The nice thing is not only is it great, but it's soooo easy to make AND you can even make it lowfat!!:thumbsup2

SO it's not just big in Chicago or NJ but it's also been passed down to FL!:goodvibes

i cook a pound of ground beef and then put in a crock pot along with a big package of velveeta cheese and two cans of rotel. It is so good.

I always cut the velvetta into smaill cubes it melts faster that way.

Brown 1Lb of hamburger, then add a packet of taco seasoning. After following directions on taco seasoning put mixture in a crockpot. Add a can of hormel beanless chili and a large block of velveeta. Add a jar of your favorite salsa and allow to melt.

Note:Mexican velveeta is really good for any of these recipes.

1 lb mexican velveeta
1 can chili no beans
cube velveeta and add chili. cook in microwave 30sec-1min at a time stirring in between.
This is the recipe I have always used.
